So for a instance, let's assume sai goes to virat and tells him I love you and asks let's start this marriage as proper wife and husband, will virat accept?... I am not sure...he still has to fight with his own thoughts regarding promise like he did before marriage ( dream sequence)... Then only he will actually realize love... For that he needs a big blow, that is separation

The promise, he spoke to Pakhi was to tell that he will always be there as a friend to her.

He has long forgotten about "mere dil mein, zindagi mein kisi aur ko jagah nahi doonga".

If Sai tells she loves him, he will accept. However, I don't understand why he wants answer from her for something he himself doesn't have answer to. Actually I do understand. It is like he is yearning for her love. I might create another post shortly, you will see what I am talking about. He craves for her love and attention. Only thing that disturbs me is, though his actions speaks a lot, he also needs to understand that it is not enough to expect it from her and he too needs to confess his feelings for her. But I could gather he didn't realise his feelings. I was very glad and even surprised when he was about to confess something in the latest episode.

Had there not been interruption from Sunny (first time) and drum rolls (second time), he would’ve confessed 🥳

Haina? Mujhe bhi laga ki shaayad won bolne waala tha. Just that, in the monologue they didn't include it.

It is the makers who are doing it this way I guess.

They tried to make it look like he was about to confess and then brought an interruption. They want to show him confessing only during separation I guess.

Yes they are saving this for separation, they know the separation will be draining and the confession during it will make it bearable.

We like to assume that everything has a single definition and we judge people, characters etc. With that definition. But. Everyone has different definitions of different things such as success, love, family.

What we do think is the definition of love for us might not be the same for our heart. Because while making that definition and telling it to others we think from our minds mostly. And teens to believe it is our hearts choice. When mind believes, heart makes it easy for you to move away. When heart loves mind makes it sceptical and refuses to accept this definition. So they come to a compromise until one of them finally wins the battle.

Virat: Patralekha is the ideal for him. You know there are many people that make a list about the kind of spouse they want. Patralekha is the list wali girl. And he made his heart sure it's love. Later he met Sai. The kind of person his heart wanted, who matched his values. His heart started falling for her without his mind's knowledge😆. So his head kept fighting and his heart kept doing what it does-love😆 Now is the phase when his mind and heart have come to a compromise where they both have accepted her with a different term than love. Soon one of them will win😉

Sai: is still a teenager and she had been shown in a phase where she never got to design an ideal partner for herself. But she had witnessed two kinds of love. One was the kind of Jagtap. Obsessive, controlling, abusive and demeaning. The other kind of love was her Aaba's. Respectful, protective, caring. Even her Aaba used to scold her and she would get angry but she never doubted his love for her because she knew it stems from his care. Her being the only child with no competitor for her Aaba's love helped too. Virat fills those shoes. This is why she keeps comparing him to her Aaba. But here she has a competitor. For the kind of person Sai is, she gives as much as she gets whether it's love or something else😆Aayi, Devyani and Shivani loved her from the very beginning and unconditionally and there was no competitor for their love just like her Aaba's love. The three of them equally dislike Patralekha.😆and openly favour Sai. So Sai is open to them and admits her love for them openly. But Virat's love comes with a competitor and he openly told her from the very beginning of their relationship. This is one thing where he does not match the criteria to be in her love circle.😆Virat is yet to openly admit (and maybe prove) that he loves only Sai.

May be the makers want to show it only during separation.

many might not agree with me but this is what i think:

virat has always been a man sure of himself. once he has made a decision, he never second guesses himself. the reason why even before falling for sai, he never regretted marrying her even when he had to stand against his own family for her. but admitting to himself that he loves sai is admitting that he has never loved pakhi, an emotion he was so sure of. because when one loves and moves on, the moments stay on like fond/painful memories. but he doesn’t even remember the time he has spent with pakhi nor the promises he made to her because they are of no importance to him.

@bold I agree, one of the reasons he had not tried to acknowledge his feelings even when he felt something for Sai after they got married. It is ony natural to think that way. I have another theory, or another thought related to this, not sure how many will agree 😂😂. I will see if I can make a post.

I agree he was craving for her love but somewhere I feel, and he also forgot about promise...but even today if someone asks him, if he did forget the promise, he wouldn't reply confidently.... according to me when he confidently says to himself that the promise doesn't matter to him anymore, they he broke his promise...his monologue is necessary to clear all this... Before this if sai really proposed him, he will be in cloud 9 for sure because his heart wants that and loves with sai but at the same time he would be confused because his mind is stuck at promise to be in physical relationship...so this monologue between mind and heart is so necessary before he conclude he loves sai

The only reason he wouldn't reply confidently is because he broke the promise partially. The promise doesn't matter to him but admitting that is what is difficult, mainly due to shame that he broke one part of the promise.

Anyway in the upcoming episodes, if they follow the original version, we will see that he will tell Pakhi that time changes and such promises doesn't make sense or may say promises get broken with time.

Infact I found it very cute and funny yesterday when I thought, we can all see it as love and he still calls it like and on top of it, he also wanted to confess. Confess what? That he likes her? But that takes me back to what he was about to tell but the dancer's arrival interrupted his talk 🤦‍♀️.

About the "bhi", I had created another post, me and a few others think that it is probably a blooper. I don't think she has understood that he loves her, can be "like", but she would not think he loves her.

For me, a person like virat, who keeps all his emotions bottled up, having no qualms in acknowledging the fact that he likes someone and ready to fess it up is in itself a big step and quite akin to confession.
