I wish they didn't nominate Sushant.. He didn't get nominated for Sonchiriya but now for his last movie they give him this pity nomination..What an insult to an artist. Its only going to bring more "oh he is getting sympathy", " Oh he was garbage actor ".. Just let him be faaltu mei gaaliyan padwane ke liye kyu nominate kia.

Also, I can't recall a single song in the nominations for best playback singer female.

Anyway awards have become a joke now so don't have a lot of expectations from them anymore.

It's not like worse actors haven't won Filmfare for below avg performances then this is only a nomination.. They didn't give him acknowledgement when he deserved and now after he is dead they do this formality and it will only end in people saying he is only getting it because if sympathy.. It's such a disrespect to his better performances and him as an artist..

What is the use of nominating an artist when he isn"t there anymore?And even if Sushant wins,is there any value of the award whatsoever without him here to receive it?This "sympathetic"attitude should really stop.Recognise and appreciate artists when they are around and working,instead of snubbing them when alive and giving tributes when they are no longer there to see it.

It's not a good performance by SSR but then neither is Ayushmann's for SHUBH MANGAL ZYADA SAAVDHAN and the others noms aren't exactly near the best work of any of the other nominated actors. It's been a very unfortunate year all around for movies. Of this group AB is the most deserving even in a meh movie.

FINALLY!!! I was scared that they will skip it this year. My QUEEN Taapsee Pannu better win Best Actress or else. I really can't see them giving it to Kangu. Deepika and Vidya were good but not their best work. Thappad was a landmark film and performance and character. In fact I think it deserves Best Film + Director too. I am very pleasantly surprised it is nominated in those categories :)

Y'all know I love me some Jahnnu but WTF is she doing in Best Actress category??? Even Alia Bhatt deserved for Sadak 2. Ugh what a MESS. And they didn't put Bhumi Pednekar in that group. UGH. But at least she's in Critics Choice - great choice, I hope she wins. Glad for Konkona's nom too.

The Best Supporting Actress category is AMAZING - I love all the girls in that.

"Mehrama" getting nom'd is so sweet - I love that track. I didn't know it was popular!!!

Very sad the Malang songs didn't get more love. Chaz Ghar Chalen and the Title Track are IMMENSE. SO STOKED for my GIRRRRL SUNIDHI CHAUHAN getting a nomination after ages right??? Let me check.
