He's 30 years old. Its nearly impossible that he had never felt any reactions in his body till Anokhi came in 🤣.

It's just that with Anokhi , comes his extreme protectiveness, possessiveness and an urge to talk to her/interact with her on a daily basis, also get all her attention.

Emotions IDK honestly, I think the fact that she was from a good family and understood his childhood issues and is ready to leave her career and settle down with him was enough for him to get married to her.

But he didn't love her. We could see that. He didn't care enough abt the relatioship to even put forward a fight.

Whereas with Nikki, he is always restless, always on his feet and cares just too much

I don't think shaurya was ever in "love" with Shagun . He was comfortable with the idea of a compatible partner. If he was ever in love with her he couldn't have let her go , yes he was hurt because she was perfect partner according to his views where she was going to to take up the role of his wife, perfect daughter in law to sabherwals but her aspirations were even brighter to be shared with him . Do you think ShaSha really loved each other ? They were in love with the idea of love !

Shaurya the guy who cannot let go anokhi with whom he isn't in love yet, how could he let his love walk away without any heartache or regret ?

Yeah it might be true though he did say 'I thought you were gonna be my soulmate' to Shagun. Maybe just meaningless filler words for him. Going back and seeing his reaction to Shagun's news about Cambridge, he was so calm and unfazed. whether he didnt show his love out or not I dont know, this guy is totally confusing me, but he just coolly cancelled the engagement. Maybe it was only his ego which hurt him.

Even the next day when Shagun came with her family to talk he was so nonchalant with an obvious I dont care attitude. But look at him now, he is running around, searching, boiling at the sight of the ACP, finding an excuse to touch her, her desk 😃

But if the story was that he had really loved Shagun then it would have been more interesting and tougher for him to fall in love again and more enjoyable scenes for us ❤️.

Yea wish we had seen more of their scenes. It seemed they dated for a while and he had a bunch of cards and love letters that he returned back to her after the break up (that was a weird scene bcuz looked like empty papers 😆) Im sure they were both physically attracted to each other. You don’t need to be deeply in love with someone to be physically attracted to them. Maybe in ITV land but not otherwise 😆

Shagun is smart, beautiful, tall and well put together. And modern enough to be a girl Shaurya would want to date but traditional enough to compromise on her own vision and be the ideal wife and bahu for his family.

They were the sort of couple that looks perfect on paper. But what was missing was the emotional love quotient. That’s probably why he was ok with breaking up the engagement. He was also nonchalant cuz he was hoping she would eventually change her mind.

What Shaurya will feel more Anokhi is more of an emotional depth kinda love. Thx to her connection to his mother and for bringing all that angst and raw feelings up to the surface after all the years. If it wasn’t for Aastha connection, I doubt he would have paid much attention to her and vice versa. What would he be attracted to in that case? Her answers to Econ
questions and maybe her long silky hair?

@bold - Probably bcuz they had been together for awhile and were past that restless phase. Relationship had reached a level of maturity. He did drive out at night and toss the ring in a river and then came back and told Badi maa that he never felt loved or something like that. But yea he was very motivated to NOT be like his father and did everything to forget and move on. Which doesn’t seem to be the case right now.

I think they could create an entire web series or short show on Shagun and Shaurya’s story. It does have potential to be a standalone story.

I knw the connection with Astha did have some added advantage. Bt I'm sure Shaurya n Anokhi wd hv crossed paths if they were in SIAC. N knwng Anokhi's fiesty nature she wd hv gvn him back in his words sonner or later. So fireworks to honi hi thi 😆.

Did not seem there was any love between them . Looked more like 2 families in agreement and Shaurya agreeing
