Good afternoon sisterhood! 🌷🌺🌷
The 'eve' of Holi is probably going to make us all say "Iss raat ki koi subah nahi"... Desperate situations call for desperate creativity 😅😅
I just caught up with the last two episodes... had a bit of a pressing situation to attend to since yesterday. And woah!😯😮😦 What has this drag fest turned into? Omkar and Ninad are officially scoundrels🤬? The list of unanswered questions is only increasing (below) 📜and the bhel poori that they are making out of this track is going to turn so soggy that it will loose its crunch🥙... Is it just a temporary deviation because they are biding their time or will any of these scenes make any sense a week later? I hope it is not a dream that Devyani is seeing (or Pulkit, Sai or Ashwini) and she will wake up one week later and we will be back to square one.🤷🤦
1. Where is Harini -- in the episodes, in the plot and in the story? 💆
2. Even when Pulkit goes missing there is no mention of Harini between Sai and Madhuri? 🤦
3. When Sai goes to meet Madhuri, she still doesn't even want to say a hello to Harini?🙆 Technically, it is a joyous moment that Bhavani has agreed to consider the marriage... abhi bhi Mami doesn't want to take even a chocolate for her niece? 🙍
4. The Makad Sena doesn't know about Harini? Why would they want to hide it if they know? Wouldn't it have helped them already by raising questions about Harini's parentage? As it is, Virat had that unpleasant suspicion...🧐
5. When Bhavani agreed to meet Pulkit and assured Sai that she would agree to the marriage, Sai did not mention the "granddaughter" even at that point? 🙄😒
6. The grand letter -- It was established that Omkar, Sonali and Ninad did not know that the letter was Vahini's venom... it's now confusing. With Omkar and Ninad actually abducting Pulkit and contacting armed gangsters to do it, do they still not know the truth about the letter? 🙄😒🤔
7. If they don't know about the letter, does it mean that Bhavani is using them with half the information being fed? Clearly, the abduction has happened with Bhavani's knowledge. It can't be Omkar and Ninad's own action...😑😔
8. Ashwini tells Sai, not to call Virat and tell him about Devyani's condition because things are getting better... But does Virat not even need to know Bhavani's change in stand and Pulkit being missing? 🤷🤔😒🙄
9. The MOST IMPORTANT question: Which college in Maharashtra gives one week off for Holi!? 🤔😰😱🤯
10. How easy is it for people to get Sai to trust? 😣
All it takes is an act of "love"-- not act as in action, but act as in 'display'. 🥺
And when in an emotionally vulnerable state, Sai will disregard all her instincts and believe the person seeking her help with teary eyes. 🥺
It's not just Ashwini but even Bhavani, who seems to know "Sai se kuch karwana ho toh zor zabardasti se nahi, pyaar se baat karo" and she will close her eyes and do as you say. Sai's greatest strength is that she stands up for what is right but her greatest weakness is her impulsive nature -- in trusting and jumping into the fire without even thinking of calling up the fire brigade. 🤺🤸
She's the one who said, "Kisi par bhi aankhein bandh kar ke vishwaas nahi karna chahiye"... but all it took was one 'soft' request from Bhavani in a genuinely tense moment and Sai shut all her mechanisms that could have helped her sense what was amiss. 🤹
Bhavani had gauged Sai's clean heart a long ago. She even mentioned it to Omkar and Ninad right after the drama over her name changing ceremony, when the two stooges had gone to complain about Sai's interaction with Devyani. One of the reasons why Bhavani actually does not like Sai is the "clean heart" and the fact that she does not have any vested interests. (I am repeating myself but...) Almost everyone living in that house has an 'interest' or 'obligation' to do as Bhavani says. While Omkar and Sonali support Bhavani out of their 'helplessness' (God knows what), Ninad perhaps has some strong reason (guilt/promise/allegiance or maybe just his patriarchal belief system) to support Bhavani -- it is not out of helplessness and definitely no romantic inclination. Ashwini is a helpless slave in marriage and so is Karishma probably and Vada-wali Venomous Vahini, well we all know...
Sai is the only one who, until this point, does not have any reason to pander to Bhavani -- neither does she have any vested interest to stay in her good books nor is she even the regular "bahu", who is madly in love with her husband and wants to stay forever. The fact that Sai has no fear of 'losing' her status in the house makes her even more formidable for Bhavani.
So, Sai can stand on her own and fight until she wins. Yes, they know that she gets Virat's support from time to time which results in her 'quick win' but she is equally capable of fighting the battle alone and winning at the end.
Why does Bhavani despise Sai if she knows she has a heart better than the rest but prefers the "makkaar" bahu as her favourite?
The reason is the same as her hatred for Pulkit -- to the extent that it manifests as her hatred for her own daughter. She is a toxic, narcissist parent -- and one who has no love for anyone or anything above her own self-image which is made up of conceit, false pride and rigid ideas.
She did not think twice before making Devyani a deranged woman. She is a woman who has no "love" for the one she's birthed because she cannot validate anyone's feelings that don't fit into her idea of "esteem" -- izzat, khoon, khandaan and log kya kahenge. 😑
Bhavani's 'love' for anyone is non-existent because it is so conditional that it feels marginalised by any competition. It is actually only her sense of "power and possession" over the family members that she wants -- the demand for making her "proud". She will belittle, impose, punish and when it fails, manipulate.
Bhavani is actually aware that Sai wishes well for Devyani -- and Patralekha does not. But it does not matter to her because Devyani's wellbeing is not her goal anyway. If it would have been, Devyani would not have been in this condition in the first place. Bhavani's love for Patralekha, as we all know, is also non-existent. But in Patralekha, she finds her reason for pride, feels rewarded and enjoys the 'control and power' that the chaheeti bahu keeps reinforcing on her behalf. Does Bhavani not know Patralekha is the last person she would be able to trust when she genuinely needs help?
At this point, Bhavani's aim is to re-establish the law that she has been holding in that house -- it has been challenged more than often. The reason is the homecoming of this woman. The words from her chaheeta beta: "Niyam badalne honge" was perceived as a threat, a challenge -- that the next generation is not going to mirror her, agree with her. They will grow independent and forge their own paths. To reinforce her control, the one who challenges it from time to time by awakening the other 'sleepy or hibernating' consciences (Mohit, Ashwini, Shivani, Devyani and of course Virat) of the house has to be eliminated.
Pulkit was not her "choice". Sai is not her "choice". No one can make a decision for themselves without her approval. And what is worse is that Sai does not fall in line like Karishma does, despite not being her "choice". If Sai was even half docile, she would have accepted her to the extent of having Karishma around -- Bhavani does not scheme to separate Mohit from Karishma, even though she would like it if that happens.
She knows that the only way she can get Sai to act the way that will suit her scheme of things is to "show" the love and concern for Devyani -- Sai's only focus at the moment. Was it the first time that Bhavani (Sonali and Ashwini) witnessed Devyani going hysterical and violent? Definitely not. But for Sai, it was a first. And so, it was easy for Sai to believe it affected Bhavani to the extent of holding her hands and requesting her to bring back her daughter's happiness. I am surprised (and not surprised also) that Ashwini fell for Bhavani's tears. Ashwini should have known Bhavani better but it was Ashwini's belief in Bhavani's genuine concern that pushed Sai into believing it too, apart from Sai's own weakness of trusting people in emotional moments. But then, one could give it to Ashwini that this was the first time that they had all learnt about Pulkit and, perhaps, she hopes that Bhavani is actually seeing a reason to change her heart.
I want to digress a bit and go back to Virat's warning to her about how she will suffer the consequence of her stubbornness in this matter: Virat sternly telling Sai to stay out of the matter until he reinvestigates was needed. She is still falling into the trap but Virat's warning (as we discussed the other day too) was definitely out of his own awareness and intuition that things will go terribly wrong if she's proven wrong. He knows that this is a war with none other than Kakusaheb -- she won't back off as easily as the medical college examination. Apart from his own suspicion and doubts about Pulkit following the fake letter, Virat was actually also concerned about Sai's obstinate stand. He knows she lands in trouble when she is emotional and unable to reason logically -- Jagtap was able to abduct her by making her believe Aaba is in trouble -- she did not want to spend a minute trying to verify or call Virat despite being warned to stay indoors; she almost fell for Vitthal's trap and was actually all set to go alone, warning Virat to not go; she put herself at stake to defend Shivani, knowing how it could have backfired for her and the family would have come down heavily on her -- in his absence, that is exactly what she will end up doing.
Of course, Bhavani and the others do not know yet that it is no longer just about winning from the perspective of right or wrong -- both Sai and Virat now have a lot to lose if they lose each other. 🥺💔
Just reminds me of their ominous dialogues : "Ek din apni zidd ki bhaari keemat chukani padegi..." and "Aapko bhi..." 💔
As it goes, "Ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation."

Sunset brings darkness, but can candles 🕯️🕯️that are lit to bring light actually become the "sun"? No. When it's gone, one knows what a gift that love was. And then it fills you up with chaos, with a spin and you go back to find it and fight to keep it -- and fight that fight every day!
Sunset toh hone hi wala hai... and it can turn into a rather madhoshi wali shaam with some cuppas you seek. So there you go...☕☕☕☕🍵🍵🍵🍵🍵
Lots of love and hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
