Today is the Ides of March, hope everyone has a nice day, keep safe, keep well!🤗
first full moon
Kalends, Nones, and Ides were ancient markers used to reference dates in relation to lunar phases. Ides simply referred to the first full moon of a given month, which usually fell between the 13th and 15th. In fact, the Ides of March once signified the new year, which meant celebrations and rejoicing.
In Roman times, the Ides of March was known as a date for paying off debts. ... March 15 was very unlucky for one man a very long time ago. On that date, in the year 44 BC Julius Caesar was killed. March 15 may not be unlucky for you but it was for Julius Caeser.
Julius Caesar, the dictator of Rome, is stabbed to death in the Roman Senate house by 60 conspirators led by Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus on March 15. The day later become known as the Ides of March.
And a few good things too happened on this day. 😊
