Yup! I imagine they take off to a little honeymoon once a year. Ek Jashn Arnav and Khushi... don't exist? OH Aarav does exist - but I can guarantee you that he's an absolute sweetheart and loves his parents to bits.

Chapter Two: Good News

Arnav and Khushi paced in the washroom, waiting endlessly for the three minutes to pass.

“How long Arnav ji?”

“One minute and forty four seconds left.”

“Okay... ab?”

“One minute and forty three seconds.”

“Okay...” Khushi paced around and Arnav stopped her by her shoulders.

“Nervous?” She nodded and he pulled her into his arms.

“One minute left.”

Khushi hugged Arnav tightly, trying to calm her racing heartbeat as they waited for the test. It was really a minute, but every second felt like forever.

She felt his heart drop and breath hitch.

She looked up and found him staring at the two pink lines.

Despite all the planning, it felt like a miracle.

“Arnav?” Khushi asked, her throat choking.

“We’re pregnant.” He whispered as tears rolled down his cheeks. Khushi checked the stick and squealed. She turned to Arnav caressed his cheek, wiping the tears away. He kissed her, deeply, and broke the kiss to rest his forehead on hers.

“But for like even more confirmation we’ll head to the doctor. Then we’ll tell Aarav. And... we’ll decorate the nursery. It’ll be green - your favorite color. Should I buy clothes? Wait no, confirmation first. Right. Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada you’re not allowed to risk your life. Not that you were ever allowed and thankfully risking it did lead to you saving me and getting Aarav but no more after-” Khushi placed a finger on his lips, shutting up his ramble.

She cupped his face and laughed, “Hum samaj gaye Arnav ji. And I’m pretty sure we are pregnant.”

He grabbed her hand and headed to the poolside to enjoy the sunrise.

“Once we get the reports, then tonight they get to know it first.” Arnav pointed to the sky. Khushi nodded, too emotional to speak.

"Khushi,”

“Hmm.”

“I really love you.” Arnav kissed the top of her head.

“Laad Governor.” Khushi chuckled.

“What the?”

“Dil ki baat bhi angrezi main bolenge?” Arnav rolled his eyes and gave his infamous smirk.

The morning was truly beautiful.
