See TWO possibilities are there,

1. If Baraat is coming from somewhere (I can't even say Karachi, I seriously hope they will not show a Baraat getting ready in KARACHI on 14/15 AUGUST 1947🤣) it's not going to reach Om Niwas due to riots or whatever, Randheer promised "Main Baraat leke aaunga" that was symbolic, he wouldn't be able to reach with Baraat even after getting all ready.
2. If Baraat reaches, marriage happens Dulhan Doli k Saath gayab ho jayegi.. na sasural pahuch payegi, nahi Apne Ghar waloon tak... In fact in this case bohat bura ho sakta hai... Just imagine a Dulhan getting seperated amidst Partition riots.

Hoping for 1st one, marriage ceremony can wait. Shaadi tho hogi hi at some point.

Am I the only one who thinks shaadi hogi aur Lahore station immediately bhagenge sab log to catch a train to India in the chaos? Then Baig dies saving Sahanis? Then Brij dies saving Radha/Uday?

BOTH the possibilities are there, VashmAY got married before the blast so AmDheer too can get married. It's just that they shouldn't do that to AmDheer yaar Ceremonies can wait but Dulhan bichad Jana I have seen in "Do Saheliyaan, Kismat Ki Kathputliyaan" that story was different but Dulhan bichadna bohat traumatic ho jayega yaar.
