I thought Janhvi was horrible in her first film. But thought she did a really good in Ghost Stories and GS. Perhaps all these filmmakers think she has potential and that is why they are signing her. And of course her popularity as a nepo kid helps her profile as well.

This topic is unnecessarily harsh.

Yes Janhvi has a long way to go as she's an average actress, but she's actually much better than so many others who started off terribly in their first few films (from Kareena to Katrina to Deepika to many others).

Besides, Janhvi has her feet firmly on the ground and is humble with a good personality. People with this attitude can go a long way.

Yes, her looks again aren't particularly amazing but then I don't find any of the new girls except Tara and Disha that great looking anyway.

Look at Priyanka, I don't think she looks stunning. Even after the botched surgery, people warmed up to her. So not everyone has to be Aishwarya Rai to be accepted. You can have decent looks and after that it's your work that speaks.

Of course we don't know the exact numbers but the trade has a good sense and we can pick up on buzz as well. Starcast and directors (and producers) make a big difference in the budget a film will be given as well. For example, Liger is a pan-India action film so you know it will be presented at a bigger scale than a horror comedy like Roohi Afzana.

Well I personally side eye all films starting regional actors 😆 So Liger holds no value for me. Unless Ananya is in transparent clothing 😆

If Alia can get one SLB movie after another in a continuous loop despite having a proven track record of delivering a box office disaster in that genre and being universally panned, why should lackluster performances be a deterrent for Janhvi? It's clear as day that nepotism overrules lackluster performances, ugly faces, bimbo personalities and everything else, so let her bag some movies too.... 😆

It’s Alia strategy ... expert advice on script selection , they already know which filmmakers are working with which writers . Production houses support for marketing . Kjo and other kapoor -Chopra gang muft mein they will endorse and attend press conferences .

Resurrection of failed reputations . Alia ‘s AIB videos went viral with that strategy. Now she is minting money . From a dumb bimbo who said ‘prithvi raj Chauhan ‘ as president to where she is today .

you hire Alia , Jhanvi etc ... you hire the best people behind the industry.

Despite this there was rumour she bought an expansive house 😲
