Gift or the thought behind it?

When I first watched today's Sairat scene I thought it was rather unthoughtful of Sai to give Virat a bamboo plant (or whatever it is). But then I watched it again and again, noticed Virat's reaction, his smile and his happiness, I liked it better. I realized what if Virat is the kind of person who feels happy when gifted a plant. He doesn't care much about what the gift is but more about the sentiments. When he was opening the first gift, he had started smiling just by seeing the wrapped gift. Even before he had actually seen what it was he became happy. For him, the thought counts.

What do you guys think? Am I reading too much into this?

Bamboo shoot symbolizes prosperity. Its something he can always keep with him. So i found gift thoughtful and virat also cares only about the thought. Sai doesn't know mych ablut virats likes/dislikes. I'm gkad they didnt show her buy his favorite food! Kyunki voh zyaada hogaya. Apart from food, Shirt/ watch is an option but voh cliche hai. Maybe she will give it in future in a future Sairat scene....

Even I thought that, ki kya ek paudha pakda di, but then it's the gesture that matters, bamboo plant is symbolic for prosperity, luck and good wishes and stuff.

So, it was sort of nice. And abhi tak actually we have not seen what Virat actually likes. So, it might have been difficult for Sai as well, and anyway gifting someone a plant is pretty thoughtful. For Virat too, it might have been symbolic for all the good things Sai wishes for Virat, and sort of like, reminding him of grateful Sai is for having him in her life. 😳

It is a wonderful gesture that became the thought behind the choice. It is above materialistic gifts. Every one needs it in the journey of life. I loved Sai’s pick and Virat whose profession involves risks and dangers definitely needs good luck that leads to prosperity. I think Virat understood that fact and his face beamed with joy .

I liked the choice if gift too. Yes bamboo is a symbol of prosperity esp in east Asian cultures. I think a live gift forms a certain connection, which a material gift cannot. He has to take care of it regularly & nurture it, so the gift becomes part of his life & a constant reminder of the giver. Also gifting a plant shows the giver is above material things & has progressive thought.

Most importantly, Vahini would have never chosen such a gift!!! I think every little thing that sets his love Sai apart fm his stupid crush is good!

I came to know from someone in the forum that the bamboo plant is meant for luck.

I then checked and found that bamboo plant brings bring good luck and prosperity.

Since she had said in the gift tag that Virat is her lucky charm, she has gifted this.

It is a symbolic gift, isiliye woh kehta hai ki woh ladki sabse alag hai.

Anyway sentiments or the thought only matters.

Lucky bamboo is gifted when one wishes you good luck and double your luck. Seeing how happy he was, he definitely knows the meaning. Just like her, he too enjoys small gifts but meaningful.

The Chinese say the number of stalks determines what you actually want to say. Just imagine it had only two stalks which means love and he actually knew the meaning. 😲
