Would you want Anokhi to take Shaurya's last name Post Marriage - Page 3

I actually don't mind her keeping her surname or adding his to her. But whatever it is, it should be her choice

Personally, im gonna take his surname only if it matches mine🤣 warna im fine with my own😆

So I didn’t change it. In visa form they ask that do you use other names there you have to state all other names you are using on your ID.

One of my friend had to wait for a whole year just to change her name on every document to be with her husband in Australia. Its a headache n she told me don’t change anything. 😂😂

hahah i have decided the above too. My last name is pretty good but if his doesn't match w mine, no sir, you can keep yours and ill keep mine 🤣

I think I would like her to keep her real name intact. I saw her speech where she said before being someone's daughter or wife, I'm anokhi. Since this is abt her journey and the journey of a woman being free to do what she wants regardless of her relationship status. Hence, I'd like to see her making her own decisions. I don't want Shaurya to even interfere w that. It should be addressed only if she wants to.

On a personal note, if i get married, i don't plan on changing my name. There are too many formalities to go through and i dont think my relationship status should impact my name change. That's just me though right now, who knows what happens if I do get married, I may change my mind then lol

Thats me when one of my professor called me with miss. Last name.. n I literally blasted him that sir I have my given name. So better you call me from my given name and not last name..😂😂

N he never dared to call me by my last name again.

On the second part. If you get married its not necessary to change your last name. I haven’t n everything is okay. 🤗

Ha ha...my Mom and Dad are married close to 30 years and still don't have a marriage certificate. Now my Mom didn't face any issue because her maiden name and last name were same and even the middle initial. She didn't even had to change her sign. But sometimes in some legal document they ask for marriage certificate. Since she didn't have it she had to get a affidavit that yes we are married lol. Indian laws are next level thanks to beaucracry at every benign level.

I know this as my my dad got marriage certificate as soon as they got married and We too obtained marriage certificate.

Hubby’s birth certificate was not in English n my father in law went 10 times to get one in English.. n He was like kya nautanki hai.. 🤣
