This thread is becoming strange by each post. This and that Shahid wala thread. The amount of entitlement folks have deciding for other people’s lives is mind boggling.😳

Okay let me rephrase it. Pakistan became independent in 1947 right. So before 1947, what was that land called? Was it a part of India or was it unclaimed empty land waiting for human settlement?

My question/confusion is that everyone talks about SRK having ‘Pakistani heritage or ancestry’. But if the actor itself was born in India 1965, and his father was born in 1920s-30s, then that would be BEFORE Pakistan was recognised as an Independent country. So how does his father become a Pakistani if he was born before the country even came into existence?

Pak as a country didn’t even exist then so technically his dad or anyone born at that time couldn’t be called Pakistani... Is that what you’re saying? I agree and I was not calling SRK, his dad or anyone Pakistani

If you read the post I was quoting, that member asked

‘why is SRK questioned and his Pakistan connections brought up? and not Akshay? ever?’

To which I answered “it’s bcz Akshay doesn’t have a Pak connection

(Or may he does, somebody should look into his ancestory)

that’s why his Pak ancestory never brought up by people

but SRK has some connection so people bring up that up” (rightly or wrongly) It doesn’t mean they’re right though

Bold - it was called India as it was part of India. Don’t think it was empty, it was inhabited

Yup that’s exactly what I’m saying and trying to clarify for future purposes. 😆 I know you didn’t specify that SRK or his relatives are Pakistani. I just quoted you at random because I wanted information.

Okay that’s what I had assumed. Prior to the independence, the region would have been part of India. So ancestral wise, there wouldn’t be any historical DNA roots to Pakistan since the country is technically brand new anyway.

If his mother is indian then why doesnt he also claim hindu ancestry as proudly since all subcobtinent muslims were originally hindus? Why look elsewhere for roots if he/his fans want us to feel he is one of us? Decide what actually is it that you people want ? If he wants to feel special by mentioning his pathan genes, then we will obviously oblige. But then you take offence at that.aisa kaise chalega didi😆

You realize nationality and ethnicity are 2 different things? You can be Pathan and Indian just like you can be Kashmiri and Indian, Naga and Indian, so on and so forth.

Aisa hi chalega, whoever you are, because bigotry shouldn't be tolerated.

@Bold. There is lies your problem. SRK is not Hindu, and you think Indian ought to mean Hindu.

The poster i quoted said they moved to india BY CHOICE...the emphasis being on the bolded words. So i asked why being pathans, born in peshawar they chose to move to hindu india and be considered second class citizens after partition? It was wrong for them to make a claim on india after getting thrmselves a brand new country. It would still be undestandable were they born on this side of partition and decided to stay behind despite asking for a seperate country. People here talk as if they did us a favor by choosing india over pakistan. In my eyes its backstabbing...simple as that.

Also, if he is actually a pathan as per his claims, then i must say they are not immigrants as you d like to believe but actually invaders in historical sense since pathans are not natives to india. Though if you ask me, he looks 99 % indian ..i give 1% to his pathan ancestry knowing his closeness with likes of kjo. So ina sense i agree with his fans who love to give credit to his hydrabadi mother side ancestry in order to prove his indianness. But then why dont we hear him claim his hindu ancestry so proudly since his mother is indian who has 100%hindu dna. As we know all subco tinent muslims were originally hindus. So what stops shahrukh khan from claiming his hindu ancestryas well? Is he ashamed of his hindu roots? Why despite gaining so much from the country does he not actually recognise his roots and still looks elsewhere? How can he call himself a proud indian then? There is a lot of confusion and irony surrounding his claims. If shedding lights on it is bigotry, then i guess so be it. When people dobt have anything better to counter they throw such random accusations and its nothing new on IF..i guess its the inferiority complex among this specific group of people which makes them namecall and label others due to identity crisis that they themselves are feeling inherently.

WTF are you sprouting? What is Hindu India? Is India not a secular country? There are other religions that exist in India as well, including Islam, Christianity, Buddhism. So are you saying that if you’re not a Hindu, then you have no place in India?

SRK’s family lived in India. If SRK’s paternal grandfather was Pashtun then that’s just a small part of his background. He can choose to be proud of whatever the fcuk he wants.

OMG LMFAO please don’t tell me that you’re those kind of people that hold grudges against other ethnicities because of wars that happened before our fcuking great great grand-parents were even born. 🤣 Blame the monarchy at the time for instigating war. Why hate on an entire ethnic background for the faults of their corrupted government.

Look at this entitlement. Who are you to demand anything of a person? Imagine someone forcing you to make a claim that you are a gorilla because the concept of evolution says so.

Why should he make a claim on anything? He is an Indian man who identifies as a Muslim. He has respect for all religions and is married to a Hindu woman. If that doesn’t show you how secular he is, then I’m sorry I don’t have the cure for bigotry.

WTF is going on in this topic?

SRK's father was from Peshawar which was part of unified India. His dad was a freedom fighter who *did not* support the partition and did not want a separate Pakistan. He didn't believe in countries based on religion. When the partition happened, he moved to the Indian side because he believed in the idea of India as a secular country. His mother was from Hyderabad.

SRK himself has no connection to Pakistan. Neither his dad or his mom ever lived in Pakistan. It did not even exist as a country when his dad was there. He does have distant relatives there but he has said at least a few times that he is not close to them.

It's obvious the weird posts in this topic are just dog whistling about his religion but in a sophisticated way as if people won't notice it.

Lol, who declared india secular at the time of partition? The deal was that muslim will have pakistan and hindus will have india for themselves. Secular word was i troduced illegally in constition by indira in 1976 only. So on what basis the family moved to india ?being pathans, born n brought up on the other side of the border they actually had no right to claim on india despite that they moved on our side. Only tuchche people with corrupt ethical and moral value would make such a move. They got their share of land but came back to ask for more n more and we are expected to be grateful to them for choosing india over pakistan? Like what in the hell!!!😆

Pathani ho toh jao phir wahi. Mother too was a hindu a few generations ago par Apne indian roots ko claim karne mei sharam aa rahi hai toh you are rightly asked to go back to wherever you came from. Harsh but how else would you show them the mirror. Done with one way secularism. Khulle aam bolenge jab bhi dil karega ...shahrukh khan go back to pakistan...ukhad lo jo ukhadna hai😆

You do realise that before the partition, not all Muslims lived in Pakistan(then India), right? Had the constituon not been amended in 1976, India would STILL be a secular country as ruled by the Supreme Court that India has been secular since formation. If we're talking about roots, check a few thousand years ago and yours and mine are probably monkeys so in that case, we aren't humans either. Now go back to the stone age because you sound like someone who belongs there anyway.

Is there an immigration policy or a sign on any nation that states ‘Pathan entry only?’ 🥴 Does India have a law that states: ‘In order to live in India, you must adhere to the laws of this country which dictates that a citizen must not be proud of their ancestral heritage’ 🤣

I didn’t know a whole ass country even existed by the name of Pathanistan or Pashtunistan. Can you kindly point to me the location of this nation on the world atlas?

How does your logic even make sense? SRK was born in India. He was raised in India. He has an Indian citizenship. He identifies as an Indian. So why the fcuk should he move anywhere else? That is his birthright nationality - regardless if his ethnicity is from Jupiter or timbuktu.

aye Bhai....who is this person owning India who is sending invitations to come to India.😲...o teri...mera toh poora khandaan bina invitation ke paida ho gaya India mein😭
