First thing-.

Yeh itv itv kya hai guys. Star Plus kyu nhi bolte. Im sory I have no clue.

Second thing:

Your observations are on point 👏. I remember watching many ML's just push and pull and never apologise. Just outright rude ans hurtful behaviour. Shaurya on the other hand is the angry young man, but at the same time, knows when to apologise for his mistakes. He is extremely sweet , tbh. The way he comes to mend his issues with Anokhi is cute too. After he picked Anokhi up when she came infront of his car, he immediately apologised. I was surprised honestly, because Im not used to such MLs, and trust me it was a pleasant surprise. Because these are the guys we all fall for in our real lives.

Third thing:

To me, I do see a flicker of misogyny in him. Obviously we know why he has these prejudices. But i do remember him telling Shagun " You didn't ask me before applying to Cambridge." And he told her All the Best in a very sweet manner. But he bascially broke up with her on a reason that is not acceptable (to me).

But yeah, Im happy that Anokhi will change his misogyny soon.

Fourth Thing:

I think this is his character train mainly because he is playing a professor.

PS : Anokhi feels super safe around him. She never minds him touching her unless she's mad or angry at him🤣

ITV matlab Indian television, unse basically saare channels aa jate hain bcs they all show the same nonsense (except Sony maybe, it is a lot better).

@bold : I didn’t remember it while writing the post, but yeah u are right about the not asking me part.

I also feel ki writers have either toned him down or would show it when the time comes. Acha hua tumne point kiya, I feel such casual sexism should definitely be addressed in the future by makers.

@underlined : you think so, I honestly think ki giving such kind of respect is more like his character trait but ho sakta makers have made his character traits such so as to sync it with him being a professor, so yeah idk.

Ps part: ikr, I love how comfortable she is around him and how comfortable he makes her feel🤧

I agree. When I heard that Shaurya was a misogynist, I expected him to be way more misogynistic. But he is actually shown and a good human being❤️ he is so good to women.

He might think that they belong in kitchen but he has never disrespected any woman (apart from Astha but that is not the part of his misogyny, it is his personal issues with her) 😊 And infact he has rightfully been rude to Anokhi. I think many people on the forum would agree that she is 'bin bulayi mehman' in his personal space... She is assuming things based on one sided story.

As a matter of fact, I'm obsessed with this guy and I wouldn't have been if he was a misogynistic MCP

Maine bhi same socha tha, phir woh hug scene dekha and I think ki that has to be one of the best executed scenes in itv at least for me it is, aur bas usko baad toh ye hu result hai jo hai😂

Him being rude to anokhi is reasonable but anokhi crossing boundaries is reasonable too according to me, (have explained it in the aastha’s breakdown post)

I think more than assuming things, she is actually not at all thinking from her mind, usko bas itna pata hai ki wo Aastha mam ko aise nahi Dekh sakti hai jise usne humesha strong rehte hue dekha hai, anokhi is not able to see such a woman breaking down on top of that she is not well, which is making her cross boundaries. Makers are also not excusing her behaviour (like Shaurya pointed out in today’s episode)

But only after he has changed his thinking about working women since I am fiercely career oriented,

Ek baar bas wo thinking change ho jaaye, uske baad he will be like best husband ever🤧

Yes, Shaurya is an amazing character.😊

I was suprised how this good of character traits are shown in a Male lead when promotion was done soo poorly.

He is definately not a misogynist. As he does not hate women.

He is not Chauvinist either as for now.

He respects women, treats them nicely, his institution have so many females and he is seen encouraging them to study. Even his own sisters also. He idiolises his Badi Maa. He doesn't think women are inferior even if they are housewife.

What one wants in their life partner is a personl choice. There is nothing wrong in asking for one perticular thing there as long as u don't cheat or force the other person which he never did.

As for a matter of treating his wife, can't say much but as per his character he will surely respect her as an equal, make efforts to make her happy. Like he did in Shagun's case. They decuded that Shagun will be guest lecturer in SIAC.

But what is wrong here is his reasons for wanting a housewife. His thinking that working women can't be good mother, this is wrong. And that is what this show is about. How he will change his thought process and grow with his thinking and character.🤗

But his bit of superiority complex was shown on one or two instances. Like when he told Kanchan, "Maine baat karli hai na" when Kanchan told him she should have managed.

I'm totally in awe with his character. A deep and layered character. Intensity without any kind of brutal behaviour, passion without any devilish acts.

I'm so glad they did not show him as one of those Alpha males.

Can't get enough of him.❤️

@bold : I kind of disagree here bcs I feel ki sabki preferences hoti hai but some preferences stem from stereotypes and prejudices. For e.g. wanting to marry a fair skinned man/woman might just be a preference but stems from prejudice against dark skinned people, which is so wrong, aisa hi toh hota hai iss tarah ki preferences ki wajah se overall society mein discrimination aata hai.

I feel same applies for working women too, iss tarah ke preferences ke wajah se hi many women are forced to give up on their career since majority of men in present day India want housewives.

Aisi cheezon mein preferences se zyada overall society pe kya effect padega zyada important hota hai, hence I don’t feel shaurya is in any way justified as such, just my PoV.

But totally agreed on everything else including him having a little but of superiority complex, didn’t pay attention to it before.
