The fact is that the children of super successful Bollywood actors are compared directly and straightaway with their amazingly successful parents. Jhanvi's benchmark (for good or bad) will always be her mother - the legendary, the true female superstar-Sridevi. The competition and comparison with her contemporaries like Sara and others will come second only.

However, even Sridevi had her shares of flops like Solva Sawaan before she struck the chord with Sadma. But even after that, she had some flops in her kitty.

Jhanvi was decent in Dhadak, nothing praiseworthy in Gunjan, looks promising in Roohi. Looking at things from individual and objective perspective, with one good movie and one average, her caliber as an actor and a performer will be decided by this movie, more so as she seems to be playing a titular and extremely meaty role.

On her own, thus far, she has given a decent shot in the movie. She also appears like the one who takes the word "acting" seriously. Instead of sticking to glamorous flowerpot roles, she is exploring across genres and is ready to experiment with the roles. Romcom like Dhadak, biopoc like Gunjan and now the horror-comedy like Roohi, and even an OTT like Ghost Stories. On top of that Gunjan was a totally de-glam role.

Need to give her credit where it is due.

Among all the new gen star kids she is the only one who looks like a woman with curves in the right places and has lively eyes . All other star kids either gives an impression that they survive on vitamin tablets or has the body of teenage boy.

This is a lot better than that Panghat song! I can definitely give her brownie points for being curvy and actually looking like a "woman" and not a teenybopper wannabe

Much better than the first song of Roohi. I think jhanvi did great here. And like others have said she’s got sensuality and sex appeal the way that her contemporaries, or even a little older ones, do not. She’s got a long way to go but this song looks like it can and will do her some good regardless of how the movie does.

I never like her but shes good in this song! Lets admit it.

Choreography is mehh, but her rythm and moves do show she is late Shri Devi's daughter. Well done Jahnvi :)
