The fact came as a shocker for Virat and also kind of diverted his attention from the hand raising -- because his response to Ninad was pretty tepid. There was no warning to not repeat, no chastising. It was a simple, "Aapko Shobha deta hai kya Bahu par haath Uthana" and Pulkit caught his attention -- would like to give benefit of doubt today because the scene will continue and there is hope that the concluding remarks would have something for Ninad and Omkar as well -- Omkar's anger was so palpable the actor did a fine job at portraying how he was exercising control once Virat had stepped into the scene. Sonali was obviously being true to her character and I loved how Virat decided to abort his response -- it is not the first time that he's ignored Sonali. She's the last person he tried to engage in and slowly Vedi Vahini is stepping into the same category.

Ninad's 'jab koi hadh paar kare toh baaki sab kaabu se bahar ho jaata hai' would also apply to how Devyani will eventually be reunited with her husband.

So the episode was to make up for Virat missing yesterday 😅 today he came, he saw, he deciphered, he did "insaan ko padhna" and was able to tell the lies from the truth -- Bhavani's pretense and Devyani's genuine happiness combined with her fear. The moment tugged hearts of those who could feel the helplessness at the condition this beautiful woman is in.

He noted the keywords Devyani used -- right from mujhe Yaad hai Aai jhoot bol rahi hai to they will hurt us again, they will kill us, main beemar hoon, Aai keeps giving me medicines to put me to sleep (Did Ninad appear surprised at this?)... It was all a shocker. The perfect canvas of the Chavan family portrait came undone -- in that moment it was evident that the family which prides in the legacy of an IPS officer Nagesh Chavan and speaks of discipline, respect and honour is actually hiding behind the canvas a dirty, dark secret that reeks of crime, conceit and cold-blooded approach to separate a married couple -- all in the name of tarnished reputation and "barabari".

Bhavani could not hold back her contemptuous reasoning for denying the daughter her happiness and reducing her to the mental state she is in -- Naukar Ka beta Nagesh Chavan ki beti se Shaadi kaise Kar Sakta hai? That admission came after her initial attempt to cover up the truth with her loud lies. But the cat was already out of the bag... One must wonder that the secret within the family has been hidden to prevent any kind of dissent arising from the disillusion that members might feel with the power centre -- those with the conscience would never approve of it or see Queen Bhavani and her stooges in the same light as before. Especially the sons -- they are the ones who had to be shielded from learning this truth.

Virat asked the right question: Kis zamane me jee rahi Hain aap? Fine you had a problem then, but what is the problem now that you can't correct the mistake?

But the reason is the most common cause of estranged families - ego. Very often when children make their choices in life, especially those concerning spouses, parents who disapprove for the wrong reasons cannot come around for years together. They cannot see anything good in a person whose intentios and value systems would be in the right place if not the bank balance and the 'image' that the social status demands. The estrangement does not end, especially if the disapproving parents are unable to accept their 'mistake' in separating lovers -- because it can't be a 'mistake' to protect the family's honour. Unfortunately, success and worthiness of people is judged only on the parameters of their bank balance and not on the other factors that decide success and worthiness.

Virat should be able to see from this example once it's done and dusted that his family is never going to accept Sai the way he wishes -- if he's been blind to his mother's standing in the house even after spending three decades there and not cared to really ask someone like Shivani what she has been through, he should now know that the Ghar ke bade are far from 'dil ke acche' and Sai does not need to take up this futile project -- not even for him.

When he mentioned how Sai had asked him about Devyani's marital status and he couldn't reply, he appeared to be telling the family how she was trying to 'involve' him so that she's not blamed for the entire scene as usual. But in their private space, Virat needs to emphasise on the fact that she cannot go for such a head on dive into the choppy waters in his absence and without even sounding him off... Not in matters concerning the family. Had he been given even the slightest clue about this issue, he would have handled it even better.

For Bhavani, it doesn't matter who Pulkit is today. That he's a famous doctor and has reached an equal standing in the society is of no importance because she has long crossed that part of her objection. He was then "unworthy", and now he's "uninvited". To accept the relationship now would mean acknowledging the 'sin' and perhaps reveal the bigger secret that is still under the wraps according to her -- the child that Devyani bore, who was definitely separated from her in a sinister act.

Will Devyani ask or tell Pulkit about losing their baby? She possibly doesn't even know if it's a son or daughter... My heart went out to Devyani today. Her suffering has been so immense. Her hesitation at holding Pulkit's hand and being terrified of Bhavani's silent warning from the distance to finally giving in and the feeling the sudden sense of pride and relief she felt after Sai instilled the confidence in her -- it was poignant... That after her initial confusion at why her Pulkit looked different -- she's naturally stuck in time 8 years ago.

Three whistles to all those who spoke at appropriate places today:

#Shivani for shutting up Bhavani and stating the blunt truth: the two people have been reduced to dead persons, what's left in them? If they want to breathe life into their lives, let them be...

I mentioned yesterday and I repeat: just because Devyani was allowed to be breathing, isn't her present condition as good as honour killing?

#Ashwini for stating how proud she was in Sai and how correct she has been in supporting her all along.

The moment of the day:

To me, the moment of the day was when Ashwini walked up to Devyani and asked Pulkit, "Tum Devyani ko aaj hi lekar jaana chahte ho?"

The pride she felt as a mother for Devyani and Sai -- the kaala teeka for Devyani and the reaction Devyani had to being reminded how she's dressed up so beautifully ❤️🥰 it was such a lovely moment.

One can totally picture Sai, Aai and Shivani dressing up Devyani for the bidaai that Sai warned Bhavani about 😂

#Mohit for shutting up Badi Vahini in his sassy style -- because Virat has actually stopped reacting to her 😅

#And of course, loudest whistle for venom-wali vahini herself for not being able to keep her mouth shut 😂

And to add insult to injury, Pulkit to Virat-- tum Sai ki khushiyon Ka khayal Rakho..

Vahini was still standing strong after all that. Applause. 🙏🙄

But thankfully, at the point where Ninad raised his hand to hit Sai, Vahini reacted as expected -- in shock. It was a consolation that she has not yet subscribed to violence being used. But not too far, I guess.

One question I have is why are they rushing through this track. It is one of the highlights. Sad ..that they have all the drama required on a ready plate, and they zoom through it. A little bit of work on the writing, dialogues, would have uplifted the scene.

Since I'm feeling a bit underwhelmed after watching, let me get my peeves out😆

- How many times did Pulkit's dialogue get repeated...mere paas naam hai, rudhba hai..then Virat repeated it.

- why were all the characters made to stand like in statue!! When Ninad rushed to slap Sai, even the body language was still. It was like in kids annual performances, teachers draw a circle and tell the kids...this is your spot, don't move😆. I thought when Devi was scared, Virat would rush to her. No, he stood still for the longest time.

- dialogues were too pheeka. so much could've been conveyed through powerful dialogues. Virat's expressions like you said were much too subdued!

- Aai and Shivani's Bidaai idea...so much excitement in such a serious scene looked misplaced.

What I liked:

- Devyani and Kaaku's acting...the effect that Kaaku has on Devi ..it came through well..

- Sai's expressions were all appropriate, today's focus was not on her. Yet she was an active participant through her expressions.

- Mohit's irritation with Pakhi. He really does not like her at all.

- Pulkit talking about being Devi's pati and how he will take care of Devi. I hope Virat remembers these dialogues more than the ones on pyaar karne wale🤪

- Pakhi let herself down once more. Her character is getting revealed more and more with every incident post Ladakh.

TBH, I am beginning to expect a certain low standard now with this serial in terms of execution. Or was it like this in the original? Even if it was, why would these guys not try to make it better than the original? Maybe trps would rise even more 😆.

Very well said janaki, but I felt everyone present in zillat arena except sonali and pakhi didi have consciences, yes I mean it see Ashwini,Mansi, Shivani,mohith , Karishma, Usha mausi, obviously aur virat and sai know what ever done is wrong and most of them raised their voices also

Even Kaku , ninad and Omi know that what ever they did is wrong and that's the reason why they hide it from the family. But sonali and pakhi don't even think for once it wrong or right just blindly supporting the Ghar ke bhade... Also between these two our malikai maturity wins the race bcoz atleast sonali don't say that she is mature, highly educated and modern ladki..
