Suprabhat Sisterhood! 🌄🌻🌺🌻
Pride is important for a person to be able to value self and work towards accomplishments but when it exceeds the degree to which it can be accepted, it is dangerous. Conceit is the first rung on the ladder of sins -- especially honour killing.
Honour killings are a worldwide evil and perpetrators justify it as an act to save their false prestige. Most often, it involves killing the daughter who is deemed to have brought shame to the family.
Is Devyani not a victim of honour killing? Just because she has been allowed to breathe, does it make her alive? Her own mother and uncles, in the guise of the false pride -- which is rooted in their own deep insecurity, fear, and unworthiness -- have reduced her into a deranged woman who's as good as non existent and counted among the dead in the clan. And what a pitiful reason: The mother's 'aukaat' is bigger than the health and happiness of her own daughter.
How often do families deny the most beautiful people the right to love one another just because they live with the feeling of being small, overlooked, insecure, and unloved and to hide those feelings from the world, a false mask of perfection and 'rutba' is worn to display confidence.
Bhavani's "aulaad ke baare me sochne ka haq" and "jab tak main zinda hoon.." only reeked of high sense of smugness and also contempt for the daughter who has brought shame to the family -- not one word of love has been exchanged between the mother and daughter in all these years...
From the interactions today it seems certain that the entire premise of the separation orchestrated by the 'elders' of the family is based on nothing but their misplaced contemptible notion of 'izzat and barabari' -- social status, cast and bank balance may be
.. Someone tell them that in fact no one can do their 'barabari' in the department of the sins they keep adding to their book of accounts. What monstrous "Dil Ke acche Ghar ke bade" they are? Where is the chaheeta beta, still counting the bael leaves?
It seems such a 'too good to be true' moment that all of them have so openly and quickly admitted to their crime? Acknowledging that they did separate the two -- right from Ninad and Omkar's "picchli Baar se jyada Bura haal karenge" to Bhavani's "rishta barabari mein hota hai, iski aukaat Nahi Nahi hai... Jab tak main zinda hoon, ye dono ek Nahi ho Sakte..."
Would this be so easy? Of course Ninad tried a cover up with "Tumhari wajah se hamari Devyani ki ye halat hui hai" but Bhavani was in complete loss of control. It was also because once Mallika-e-Maturity, who is in the role play of class monitor for the day, walked in with her "Teacher, teacher" complaint against Sai, Bhavani's lies had fallen flat.
"Badi Mami, Devi Tai Sai ke kamre mein hai".
Of course, just minutes after Bhavani displayed her soft side and love for her chaheeti bahu when she announced that she has observed the fast for 'badi mami', today Bhavani's real face was on display for a few minutes. In that split second, Bhavani went from "Tum" to "Tu" for her Patralekha -- ab isse Badi beizzati Didi ki koi Kar Sakta hai kya? No one -- no one-- has addressed her as 'Tu' so far. Not even Ashwini.
It should have reminded Patralekha that all that it will take Bhavani to turn tables on her is one mistake -- one unforgivable move, which may not even be morally wrong but just plain unforgivable for Bhavani.
Today, Didi proved again why it makes little difference how many university degrees a person may own. If a person cannot use presence of mind, sense of judgement and words to move an idea from one point to another, the education is incomplete. In her complete excitement for chugalkhori against Sai, Didi didn't even stop to look around and see what was going on. For her, the top priority is to turn Sai in at the first available opportunity.
That frame where Didi comes running to Bhavani in the middle of a tensed moment was so funny, it made me laugh so hard 😂😂😂 pata Nahi Kyun but it felt like on her way from the room to the zillat arena, she must have planned so many dialogues she would add to the fight that would take place when Bhavani overreacts and she might have imagined how Sai will be rebuked immediately and she will receive the best monitor award 😂 but sab par paani gir Gaya with Bhavani's "Tu" and the following expression as well... Oh, and, not to miss "Sai Ka kamra'" acknowledgment from Didi. But will she remember her own words before barging in next time?
There were many watch worthy moments -- beginning with the reactions of the family. Ashwini recognises Pulkit and extends hospitality but is then shocked to learn the story connected with Devyani. Yet, she can't help feel heartbroken at learning the truth. She immediately feels the pain for Devyani and a sense of pride for Sai.
Sonali doesn't know why Omkar and Ninad are threatening Pulkit but the mere mention of Sai in the picture is enough for her to vocalise her blind stand -- those who have sold their consciences do not weigh the guilt.
Shivani and Mansi don't know the story but spring a surprise with their own suggestions -- Shivani's contempt for Bhavani has gone several notches higher and a sound warning of taking the opportunity to correct the mistake. But Mansi spoke!? 😱😱 And that too to display her conscience. She did win my praise today with her genuine advise to Bhavani -- "pyaar ke maamle mein gusse aur zidd se nahi" sochna Chahiye. It left Bhavani surprised (just like us) because it was the unexpected voice to be heard -- guess that Mansi has made up for her silence in all these months and the next time she now speaks will only be when Samrat is back 😅😅
But jokes apart, it was a noteworthy moment -- it makes one wonder that Mansi has been disapproving of Virat's marriage. Although we haven't heard anything from her explicitly except her anguish that Virat chose to marry while Samrat was missing and she sided with the Makad Sena in boycotting and being hostile at the wedding rituals of Sai and Virat, she hasn't been malicious.
There is a difference in elders disapproving a marriage because they do not agree with the choice of the partner and elders who plot honour killings. In the first kind of disapprovals, parents and children often come to terms with the estrangement that the wedding has brought between them -- they try to find middle paths where the "goodwill" is present and where there is hostility, families separate -- parents remain sour but they give up their control. It's normal.
But when the elders are not only not consenting but also willing to go to any lengths to reinforce their power and control, they actually end up doing the most dishonourable acts in the name of honour. What an irony!
So, of course, Didi's wait to have Sai rebuked won't be that long. I found it so offending that Pulkit came across as a person willing to sacrifice Sai by calling out for her and making it known that it was Sai who had told him everything. Because yes the blame has to be on Sai in the story, so Pulkit made it sound as if it was all Sai's doing -- she told him about Devyani's mental state and life because they met in college as professor and protégé and he was the one who the "Chavan khandaan ki bahu" was going to have lunch with.
Ninad and Omkar used their brains to join the dots and now the plotting will, of course, happen to teach Sai the lesson of her life.
The scene between Sai and Devyani was so moving -- she is indeed the one who understands the pain of the woman, who has been suffering. Sai has also become Devyani's closest buddy during her stay in the house so far and it is natural for her to feel the need to help and restore the happiness in Devyani's life. Devyani is her own and she has seen that no one in that house feels the need to address the issue -- those who can , have no idea of what has gone wrong.
The face off between Patralekha and Sai was to reinforce that evil Vs good, which we have already seen earlier --- Patralekha will not antagonise those who feed her the power. She doesn't think of the issue in the terms of right or wrong, she is not a keeper of justice. It doesn't matter to her what another woman is going through because she's not into the morchas for women's rights; be it Shivani or now Devyani or even her own self.
Sai doesn't care about anything when it comes to being insaafpasand and motivated to fight for someone who cannot raise their voice in that given moment. The bond she feels with Devyani is one of the few soul connections she still has. Sai in the shortest time has lived Devyani's pain as her own. Perhaps, it's also her way of giving Devyani not just the voice and strength but also the delight that Sai thinks she cannot have for herself -- pyaar and pati.
And didn't she make Devyani look so pretty -- she gave her the moment of happiness that she always wanted in dressing up, instilling the confidence and making Devyani feel her own heartbeat to find her composure... Sai is indeed a dewdrop.
BUT, couldn't she have waited at least now for Virat to arrive, for him to hear both sides of the issue with the Ghar ke bade even confessing that they had indeed separated a married daughter of the house from her husband (Devyani's mental condition will be blamed on Pulkit, me thinks) ... I don't understand her need to walk into the conflict with her guns loaded with Devyani in tow even before Virat has come. What was the hurry to bring in Devyani. Logic should be thrown out of the window but it is similar to the way she finished plotting Amey's take down even before Virat could walk back from the zillat arena to their room... Why couldn't Sai have called Virat on his phone and asked him to return? At this point, too, I really don't understand her need to take the plunge into the fight before he has arrived. It almost seems like none even want Virat to hear anything ,so let's wrap it before he arrives... She knows the family has the tendency to turn tables and they would still do it so why not reach out to the best and most needed support -- there is crime involved here, which an intelligent girl like her should know. Who better than her 'pati' to deal with it. (Of course, credit and jootas have to go to her alone for uniting the couple Nahi toh kaahe ki heroine). But like a few members pointed out last week, what if Devyani's mental state would deteriorate recalling the trauma -- isn't it true that a patient with traumatic stress, who is constantly subjected to it is likely to have more recall of the injury than the happy memories...
So we must wait another day for the most awaited hand holding moment and decode the expressions of Didi and to hear if Virat Chavan 4 (insaafpasand personality) will emerge or not...
>>> Well lets see what happens when ACP Sir is back. He is going to come at a very crucial moment. We need to see how he reacts from there on.
Devyani's fear and anxiety was so moving (Mitali Nag is so natural otherwise it's so easy for such a portrayal to look caricaturish)... Her trepidation about Bhavani, not being able to look up, the way Sai instilled confidence in her and finally her eyes meeting Pulkit's, a faint memory of the wedding and her confusion given the mental state and the number of years that have passed since -- will she finally recognise Pulkit or will it be blamed on Sai for trying to push her?
>>> Lets see how Devi Tai reacts, hopefully she wont need a push, probing may be. She is a good actress, she has lesser screen space but gives apt expressions. She did play the lead role in Afsar Betiya if I am not wrong.

Is Sai a 'giver' or a 'sacrificer'?
When you 'sacrifice', you automatically make the recipient of your act become indebted to you -- they are bound to be nice and venerate you. It's a bad example because the motivation was different but Patralekha's manipulation of using the "sacrifice" she made for Virat as she claims by marrying Samrat is one such. Or the "sacrifices" the Ghar ke bade claim Bhavani has made for the family. The concept of "sacrificing" brings emotional baggage.
The receiver has to like you, never protest against you and feel highly grateful, because it’s ‘fair’ when you have done so much for them…It leaves no room for others to payback and close the discomfort that surrounds the obligatory gratefulness one has to remember.
Giving on the other hand is a joyful exercise..it not only deepens the bond but also signifies the abundance of love, oneness, understanding and self worth. The generosity with which one 'gives' is way different from the pride that precipitates from a 'sacrifice'.
And nothing is bigger joy than giving four thing that are always available in abundance -- ☕☕☕☕☕ , 🍵🍵🍵🍵🍵, 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 and ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Spend it, give it and earn it back in payback points!
Toofan toh aana hai..aakar chale jaana hai
Baadal hai yeh kuchh pal ka...Chhaa kar dhal jaana hai
Parchhaiyan reh jaati, reh jaati nishani hai....
Zindagi aur kuchh bhi nahi... Teri meri kahani hai🌼🌷
Have a lovely week ahead and an awesome day at your disposal. Make the most of it.
Pyaar Karna, Hasi ki hifazat Karna
