I think it's really bad, cringeworthy movies with bad directors. There is nothing wrong with combining "content" driven films with masala commercial films like Badrinath or humpty sharma but he did some really bad ones that insult any actor's talent. Reputable actors aspire to work with good directors. He did the opposite.

Remo is not a director. His scripts are bad, his stories are bad. He can't direct. Varun did two movies with him. ABCD2 made money but there was no respect for it. He shouldn't have done the second one. That one failed both commercially and critically of course

His movies with his dad are movies that are not doing anything for him. They really hurt his credibility as an actor.

His brother's movie was crappy as well. Commercial movies like that work in the box office but I would think someone more talented like Varun would pick better projects.

Stars survive through their fans. When Varun and Sid both came they immediately attracted a base of mainly young female fans. Varun had some seriously dedicated female fans who adored him. Either his fans grew up and moved on or they moved on to the next young hot actor which currently is Tiger. He needed to attract a newer fanbase but he hasn't managed to do that. October people don't want to watch atrocious Coolie acting.

People just lost interest in him and his films. He didn't have anything unique to offer so audience just moved on from him.

His Shaadi too didn't make any noise is testament of it.

he was never meant for acting profession

no looks, no height, no charisma, no personality, no acting no dancing nothing

He decided to go for remakes. He was amazing in Badlapur and praised in October. Now, I am not saying he should have stuck to gritty and sad roles, and he did experiment with Main Tera Hero, but he should have realized he cant be Govinda. That sorta acting with that comedic timing is not for everyone, so he should have done movies like Bareilly ki Barfi, it was funny and quirky, so could experiment PROPERLY with comedy.

Hopefully, his father eaves him alone and he ventures into othe genres with new directors

The movies make money but you lose credibility with each movie... Plus even his content films like October and sui Dhaga did not do well

Even massy films need to have certain quality. Even content films need to make some money

On top of that his govinda obsession.. He literally copies him frame to frame... Why? Why? Why?

I was so impressed after seeing him in sui dhaga , October and Badri but I don't think he has played a good role since sui dhaga

Acting comes naturally to him and he still has chances if he chooses some good scripts!

Have had a soft spot for him since October- liked him in Badlapur and in the first Dulhaniya film.

He can redeem himself even now but he needs to seriously reboot. And I know David is his father but just say NO, buddy!
