So just watched the episode. I think it was fantastic. It was a long episode. Zara is Zeba n she has a sis farha n Zeba is engaged to her cousin hashim. She doesn’t care for him much cause she is focused on studies solely. Since her mom is cook, they aren’t well off. To combat this Zeba wants to study n earn money yadi yada. The typical stuff. Hashim is like those weak minded male characters often shown in dramas. Farha is ur typical dramas sister. She stopped studying after 5th grade n mostly helps in the house n stuff. She doesn’t like Zeba much. It’s not hate just she is kinda rude to her n stuff like that. She has a crush on hashim. There was a scene at the start of the show where Pakoras are being made cause it’s raining. Wat is hum tv’s obsession with pakoras. They were present in mohabbat tujhe alvida n now here too.😕 Now I want pakoras.🤔 Hum tv should open a pakora stall. Might get more customers than viewership numbers

Her mom cooks at nadia’s house. Nadia is married to siraj. They have 3 kids. Hafsa, arsala n sahil. Hafsa is yashma n sahil is shehzad sheikh. Nadia begrudgingly invites Zeba’s mom n the daughters to her house because hafsa n samad are getting married n she needs house help. Samad is played by sami khan. Hashim doesn’t want Zeba going there n staying for few days because Zeba is his izzat or whatever. They go anyway so he is all angry. They finally arrive n meet everyone n then samad comes to meet hafsa n hafsa is upset with samad cause he took a picture with a girl. Samad says he took it cause she is ur friend n she wanted to say she met him n stuff of that sort. Interesting thing is, the picture is of Sami n kinza hashmi, from their shoot for mohlat a geo drama. The picture also is from kinza’s insta. Of all the pictures to chose from they chose that.

Then we find out a little into why sahil is the way he is. N indirectly why everyone in the family r the way they are. Siraj is a loose character n angry person. He had extra marital affairs n stuff. Because of which siraj n Nadia always fought when they were younger n a lot of times siraj’s anger went out on sahil. Siraj’s character is also why Nadia didn’t want to invite Zeba n her sister to their house. They also indirectly justified why hafsa is so doubting samad, cause she saw her mom n dad go through it. Arsala looks n behaves very angrily n I think it is also because of her mom n dad’s fights. Anyway samad n Zeba meet, hafsa shaakie senses tingles n she is angry. Zeba n samad both r Econ majors so he tells her he will give her books to help her study.

Towards the end of the episode there is a dance function under way. Hashim calls Zeba n says he wants to meet. He is near the house at a building. He knows Zeba is dressed up n she looks beautiful dressed up n so he wants to see, n so tells her to come. She agrees but is hesitant. In the meantime samad tells hafsa he will be back soon. Samad doesn’t know Zeba is going somewhere yet. Zeba on her way out bumps into siraj, hafsa’s dad, the loose character guy. He starts to think something as she leaves. Samad meanwhile is talking to his friend on the phone n sees something or someone😲. Zeba’s mom is I think looking for Zeba. Zeba arrives at the abandoned or under construction place. She calls for hashim n looks for him n is suddenly pulled by somebody. Episode ends.

From the promo we see, Zeba has been raped, when she returns. Samad is yelling at someone to stop running, hashim is distraught at something. Siraj calls a cop friend n says he needs help. He is also scared. Hafsa n Zeba’s mom blame samad n say he did it.
kinda reminds me of cheekh how we don’t know who did it. I think the end of this episode was fantastic. The change of pace was oh my! The end made it worthwhile.

I think its more the fault of the chanel and PH than the writer. They put too many demands and limit the writers creativity.

I agree. I can see this in dramas written for GEO. But I think good writers shouldn't surrender to channel demands. I don't know why I feel that the main reason behind Dil Na Umeed To Nahin not airing on any of the top channels is that its makers didn't want to compromise on their product.

I had no interest in watching this show, but since it popped in my recommendations on Youtube I gave the first episode a try. I surprisingly liked the episode, I was very interested to see where the plot lines would be headed. However the moment I saw the promo for the next episode I was so disappointed. They flipped the script so quick and out of nowhere.

Plus, I am sick and tired of seeing women getting raped, physically or mentally tortured. Is our awam this insane that that is all they want to see on screen?

yea tht is true a lot of hum tv dramas start of well then fizzle out, hopefully tht is not the case. I also think they should keep it a secret till the end. The suspense has me excited for the next episode.

But writers have no choice...they need to make a living and earn for themselves

they dont gain much by writing for small channels hence quality is compromised over money

I agree. Even actors do stupid dramas for a living. 🤔 It is understandable.

It is tough to keep the quality of the drama if you asked to write something.. I read an iv of Faiza in which she said that she was asked by a producer to write about something in particular. This means that writers don't use their own creativity. They are writers in demand.😲

I think a lot of times a production house/channel will ask a writer to write abt a certain topic in a certain way. Hence why a lot shows from the same channel look similar.

I agree. And I thought only new writers or less famous ones are fine with it.. but seeing top writers copying the old dramas, or even Indian movies is surprising. 😕
