Today's episode was probably one of the better ones we have seen in a while....and the entire first half was a treat to watch, not that the second half wasn't but I think we finally got to see a lot more of the family dynamics beyond taunts, etc.

One thing that became clear (at least to me) was that Virat is not blind to Pakhi's taunts or behavior towards Sai all this while, and he clearly articulated that today - be it him saying that she treats Sai differently, or the fact that she is the one that initiates taunts and that Sai merely reacts was a clear indication of that. Also, like you mentioned Virat's body language while Sai made her point or when she reacted to Ninad/Bhavani/Pakhi was very telling of the fact that he was standing strong behind her. Also that little glance that Virat had to see Sai's reaction to Pakhi's taunts - beautifully done. Now comes the question - has Virat hit his level of tolerance with Pakhi or was this a one off thing??? Are we going to see more of today's version of Virat - I hope so!

I had mentioned in a previous post that I would have liked to see Virat and Mohit's bonding a little more and while it definitely has been lacking - it was nice to see some of that in today's episode and hopefully we get to see a little more of that in future episodes.

One thing that bothers me about this show is a lack of scene closure - I feel like a lot of things a left hanging or feels incomplete, like everyone walking away leaving Mohit to eat by himself.. I mean it could have been beautifully closed off by having Sonali, Karishma or even Virat sitting with him and feeding him or something. And there are so many other scenes that have made me left longing for more...

It is hard for me to wrap my head around this misplaced sense of loyalty that Ninad and Omi have for Bhavani - what has she really done for the family that they all blindly follow her despite the absolutely inhumane way she treats those around her. I just don't get it.

Looks like Sai and Pulkit are finally connecting the dots and the little glimpses that have been given definitely have me intrigued.

Also, please tell me that did not bring on Aniket just for the little appearances that have been shown so far - so much more could have been done with his character and relationship with Sai that if this was all there was to it - I am majorly disappointed.

Ladakh trip - all I can say is it better live up to the expectations they are setting up for it.

It was a good episode with the couple working together..but they have to make sustained efforts .. one sparrow does not make a summer .. we have to see how virat supports Sai tomorrow or evening when they finally set to Ladakh .. something which Sai was not keen to do at the first place

I find omi Sonali weak and shallow .. they will flip .. because as omi said the house is supported by Kaku and ninad .. the property and wealth was amassed by their brother.. definetely not honestly .. that is why both brothers are still licking vahinis feet ..

But then omkar Sonali should have supported Mohit from before...,made him understand the importance of being independent..

Sai and pulkit sir ko all this exam time soch na tha .. how will sai pass .. by writing Devi Devi to Jijaji ..

and why was pulkit sir calling Kaku .. Kaku .. she is his mother in law .. but since they didn’t know each other ..so I will let it pass .. mother in law ka sirf masta hi mast yaad hai 🤣🤣

Devi pulkit eloped .. they brought her back .. and told pulkit that she’s married and gone away .. they never met again ..

But then what about the baby .. which Devi says she gave birth to ..

Pulkit said we are married .. he didn’t mention to Kaku gang we have a child ..

And pulkit has a 8 year old daughter .. curioser curioser

this is the best plot yet in the whole series till now they better play it out well ..

And if the marriage is not registered .. Devi ka current mental state makes any marriage right now invalid

virat will be right to accuse his wife ..it’s better ms Marple takes help of hubby .., but she’s so obstinate she won’t ..

What I loved that today ashwini was not present today her presence would have diluted Sairat team work .. because she would have supported Sai or offered food to Mohit first ..

She would not have stayed quiet here .. in her absence virat had to step up .. so ayi for your sunbai sake stay in temple and pray for ur grand kids to come soon ..

Virat was good very good today .. I hope Aise hi rahe then we will see another version of kahani ghar ghar ki in 2020s 🤣🤣

Great episode! Great analysis !

Sai the rockstar ! ā¤ļøšŸ˜Ž

Felt so bad for Mohit. While he needs to be more responsible, it is evident he has been made this way by a family that never showed faith in him - just because he did not study as well as his brothers. Our country is filled with many such Mohits.

Loved Sonali's expressions today - be it her dilemma or the look of gratitude towards Sai. But it is intriguing why they put up with Bhavani when Sonali is from a rich gharana and Omkar has his own business.

For me the moment of the day was the 'neeyat' speech by Virat (to Pakhi). It was clearly a callback to Sai's 'neeyat' speech just the previous day. So ACP pays attention to every sentence of his baiko!

They work so well as a team. Virat becomes so much more assertive when Sai takes charge! His conflict-phobia literally disappeared - he was so firm with Bhavani, Ninad and of course Pakhi. Amazing analysis of their chemistry - the body language, the quick glances, the unspoken understanding....šŸ¤—

I really don't understand Sonali and Omkar's blind subservience to Kaku and Ninad. That too at the cost of their children's happiness and self-respect. What power does Kaku and Ninad hold over these people? From whatever I understood, they are not financially dependent on Kaku. So why this slave mentality? I feel bad Mohit. But whatever he is facing is a reality in many households in India. Many a times, kids are forced to give up their aspirations just because that is not considered a safe and respectable job option. I hope Virat and Sai stand beside him and encourage him to follow his passion.

Navra and Baiko's joint attack was so much fun. I loved how Virat let his wife talk and yet gave it back to people who tired to demean his wife. It is so irritating to see the likes of Sonali insulting Sai even in front of her husband. I am glad that Virat gave it back to her in his own way. And the biggest fun was when both Navra and Baiko showed mirror to Didi. That was so much fun, especially when Virat shut her up so effectively. Didi is a very useless opponent. She can't even come up with proper taunts and starts complaining like 5 year old. But I felt that the effectiveness of the scene was dampened because the actress was giving very poor expressions. Instead of looking angry, she came across as confused and clueless.

I hope husband-wife will continue to act like a joint force and drill some sense into the useless Chavans.

What a team game after such a long time! It is a treat to watch navra baiko doing low pitched take downs of the Makad Sena in extreme pressure situations. And the understanding that surrounds even without making eye contact at times is such a visible foolproof partnership. A few moments:

- Virat stood with his hands interlocked at his chest with eyes fixed on Ninad when he began threatening Sai, but standing firmly behind her. The body language a give away of distrust and also restrain. 'Let me see how long do you go on.' He was convinced that Sai would say the right things in whatever way it is received. Add to that Ninad's blatant lie, "Tumhari Biwi ne kaise vahini Ka haath pakda..." Now, aadat se majboor retired army man forgot that the son had already witnessed the moment and seen what his biwi actually held. I loved how Sai just remained silent, kind of aware that she didn't need to defend herself from that lie.

- The moment when Sai responded to Aadarniya Didi with her ultimate take down line about 'Sabse jyada padhi likhi' on paper degree holder: Virat had paused to allow Sai to respond. That look of disbelief on her face while her head remained turned towards Didi was something (just want to keep re-watching Sai there šŸ˜†). He knew PP would next come to him and he waited for Sai to finish her word šŸ˜‚. It is a pattern: she begins the taunt, can't take the response and then complains to Virat to chastise the wife.

- There was something about the moment when he forces Mohit to sit down and just moves away, as if asking Sai to take over from there. The awareness of the fact that Sai would also be ready to move ahead and feed Mohit. They didn't even need to meet eyes for today's running between the wickets.

- Sai, when she saw Mohit walking away and that Virat had firmly held him back, she knew the next step: Ab 'zabardasti' hogi.šŸ˜… Thank God she didn't add, "Virat Sir ko khaana zabardasti khilana bohat acche se aata hai... Warna Kaku would have also felt jealousy today šŸ™ŠšŸ˜

There were other moments too that were the high points:

The moment in between the Sai-Virat team work when Sai spoke the most bitter truth, despite actually being the one who could the trurh use it to be conceited:

"Ghar ke ek bete ko dulara Kaha jaata hai aur doosra beta khaana bheek maang Kar kha Raha hai.... Sirf isiliye Kyunki Mohit Kamata Nahi hai".

It was a sentence that only a person with absolute sense of justice can say. She spoke about her husband's standing in the house and called out the family for being partisan towards her husband -- every wife enjoys this power that her husband's status brings for her in a joint household. I'm sure in her place, both Patralekha or Karishma would feel the husbands were entitled to be fed in golden spoon by the family. But for Sai, it is injustice.

Ninad's 'insaafpasand' adjective was definitely the word of the day. Also, although he said it in a taunt which was true, it is also significant because it came from Virat's father for Sai. The last time it was said was to describe Virat by none other than Sai's Aaba. Chalo, dono samdhibandu's have the same thought šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ‘šŸ‘

Bhavani's utter lack of sympathy or regret for her action and her fake apology, which was immediately transformed intro an acerbic comment about Mohit's acting skills. Her fake apologies are too frequently happening these days -- one at the last breakfast snatching moment and then during the Alta sequence when she apologised for asking Virat to ask 'biwi' to leave. The insincerity with which it is offered is evident always and today it wasn't even an apology to say.

Virat embracing Mohit during his breakdown was touching. The guy needed a hug for sure. He needed someone to tell him it's okay and he needn't be mortified like that. If it weren't for Virat's standing up along with Sai, Mohit wouldn't have ever spoken his bottled up feelings. Yes, he's been largely unlikeable because he hasn't done anything likeable as of now but he is not malicious like the Makad Sena or mischievous like his own wife. He took the opportunity to speak about his anguish and it was definitely a peek into how he's grown up feeling inferior to the other two cousins, being constantly told that he wasn't good at studies and therefore being made to run the errands that the chaheeta betas wouldn't. Doesn't this happen even in low-drama households where the brilliance of children is decided on the basis of their love for math and their adeptness at algebra, and not by their love for art? It's so common. Being a math hater šŸ˜›, I could feel for Mohit when he recounted the childhood... It definitely seemed like Virat learnt something new- he wasn't aware what his first cousin living in the same house and eating meals at the same table as him had been feeling, until today. Although it is doubtful if he was really unwell to miss his interview, Mohit's revelation of Kaku's seven-days ultimatum was also a shock for Virat.

It was also so important that Mohit mentioned how his own parents had let him down -- without providing the basic moral support that is needed to be able to bring a child on the path of growth by explaining the reality and not loading him with expectations. It was a noteworthy detail that Virat turned to see Omkar in that moment.

Coming to the parents: Sonali was bound to feel guilty as a mother in the end. It's surprising how she waited for so long before this realisation when Mohit was denied breakfast the other day too -- just plain sheera. Her conversation with Omkar gave a glimpse into their mind.. what is this compulsion to follow Bhavani if Omkar claims to have his own business? Who can stop them from giving their own son a push in their own set up? They have a photo of karishma and Mohit in their room, which means they do value the son's choice. So why are they allowing his life to be ruined due to the constant assault on his self respect and confidence. Why not chastise him constructively when Kaku is not watching if her reaction matters so much? Or has she installed CCTV? Why don't people of this house speak to one another? What wealth of the Chavans is so important that self respect has been compromised? They are beyond redemption because their consciences have already been compromised - they plotted Sai's torture.. Sonali's dilemma on whether she should feel grateful to Sai from thereon or continue to side with the agenda of the Makad Sena was such an insight into how one loses the sense of right and wrong once way ahead on the path where the voice of the soul has ceased to reach the ears. She admits she cannot help praise and admired Sai for the courage that Sonali herself or Omkar should have shown. Omkar looked unaffected but will Sonali change sides? Definitely not. It would be surprising if she doesn't up her offence for Sai just to show Bhavani how unaffected she has been by Sai's act because it was 'disrespect' to the honourable BA Pass Queen.

So, at least a few things have been spashthly conveyed too:

One, Virat finally asking Sonali to watch her words for Sai -- at least in the moment when she is actually fighting for your son, you woman. I think his need to interrupt Sonali came from his surprise that Sonali wasn't even offended by Kaku's behaviour towards Mohit but was blindly siding it against Sai.

And OF COURSE a teaser of the moment that we will eventually witness some day (umeed par duniya Kayam haišŸ˜”):

Virat has finally acknowledged Mallika-e-Maturity's absolute need to demean Sai at every opportunity available and refused to referee in the match that follows. "If you can't bear to hear the response, stop provoking with taunts.." What a blow it already was to Aadarniya Didi, whose existence in the household is only know when she is latching on to Sai to make her fall.

Thank God Bappa that it was a no-jalebi telling off. And, very evidently, it was also the left over annoyance from her bedroom antics where his telling her off was interrupted by Sai's reaction.

Sai's dialogue about 'padhai' and 'rishton ki samajh' was so apt and such a no-brainer šŸ˜‚ Didi could have only said what she did, "Virat Dekho Tumhari Biwi kaise sach bol Kar meri beizzati Kar rahi hai... Mere pass koi jawab Nahin hai as usual so please tell her that she's doing my beizzati and distract her from speaking any more truth" šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ but today Sai ke Pati ki bhi satak hi gayi, so to Delusional Didi ke Dum me thoda dent ho Gaya when she had to field more questions, "Tum Apne Aap se Kyun Nahi poochti... Tum Ghar mein baaki sabse Jaise baat Karti ho waise Sai se toh Nahin Karti... Tum mauka dhoondti ho Sai Ko neecha dikhane Ka."

Also right after the Baiko said it the previous night, the Husband also uses the 'neeyat' word for Vahini. Ab Chavan saheb, we are all waiting for the day when you'll reveal if you've parkhofyed Vahini's neeyat.

But Didi should thank Sai because she very intelligently brought the focus back to Mohit without allowing the conversation to veer towards another hysterical 'meri beizzati' rant from Susheel bahu that would have left Mohit hungry and diverted all the dum-phoonk chakrams to Didi's aid. The Mohit issue needed to be resolved and Sai must have already felt vindicated that Virat had spoken up finally the way she wanted. But she also sensed that vahini was trying to divert his attention to her and Virat was annoyed enough to carry on the argument for a bit...

In the end, Sai vahini ne Mohit ko khaana Khilaya and Virat was proud and pleased to see how stubborn Sai had been for the right, for justice. It was definitely a moment when it was visible that he was 'falling in love' with a soul matešŸ˜. Doesn't Chavan Saheb think Sai needs a gift? šŸ˜

Doesn't he think, how grossly mismatched his value system is with his 1.47 hours yoga love? Does she even have a value system? It's only a display of blind loyalty to those who keep her on a pedestal and it's only subject to how long she remains on the pedestal. šŸ˜–

But the need for Omkar and Sonali to walk out if Queen Bhavani has left the scene is unfathomable. At least Sonali could have waited to take over the feeding session -- what a telling difference between Ashwini and Sonali. But why did Karishma alias Sweety also leave?!šŸ¤”šŸ˜³ Shouldn't she have waited to give Mohit the company and take over from Sai once everyone had left?

And yes, Virat registered Vahini walking away too (I hope no more phone calls we have to hear 😐)

*****

Sai and Pulkit's staring match with questions running in the back and "Devyani" written all over their faces was foreboding. Sai couldn't concentrate on her test.. did she write anything in the paper?? šŸ¤”šŸ™„ Aniket is a medical student who cleared entrance ya management quota se direct entry?

Miss Marple finally joined the dots, remembering Pulkit in tears at the mention of Devyani. But of course, both of them think it would be a presumption that their Devyani is the same one as the other's. It is wise to talk it out. But what better clue than a Mast ha mast Kaku šŸ¤£šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ Even Pulkit's ears are trained to hear their takiya kalam. (Waise, who answers phone in a class where the professor has not left. Is it allowed these days? And to even keep the phone on loud ringing mode in a class? Ya only ACP Chavan ki biwi can?šŸ˜)

Pulkit's flashback is finally taking the story into the past -- a much younger get up mein Bhavani, Ninad and Omkar. Ninad in dyed hair and three piece just to push Pulkit to the groundšŸ˜† So, from Bhavani's get up of the past, it feels like Nagesh Chavan was already dead. She's dressed in colour as a widow (no mangalsutra or green bangles).

Also, appears like Devyani and Pulkit's eloped and secretly married. They may not have registered the marriage because he doesn't have proof when Bhavani asks. Given her current mental condition, it would go against Sai if she forces her way through to 'marry' them off again.

What's with this over use of the honeymoon promo? Is it to rub it into the viewers the neeyat of Didi when she's wearing the hare kaanch ki choodiyaan and thinking of mitaofying shikwe with imaginary Husband? So that no one believes the 'official kaam' se jaane Ka drama? Aisa hai toh theek hai warna what a lame idea. It better be a take down from the imaginary husband rather than Sai. šŸ™„šŸ˜

How much do people hate to hear the truth being spoken? There is a saying that goes, "Freedom for wolves is death of sheep". And add to it the most powerful comment from Benjamin Franklin: Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.

How often, when things don't directly affect us, we continue to live in indifference, not wanting to ruffle feathers or interfering in someone's matters. Justice is nothing but fairness andb upholding the truth- the conscience.

Unfortunately, those who trespass justice are the ones who seek justice eventually. But does justice is really exist? It does -- it lies in the spirit and not in the form of law; and that's my most favourite quote for life! šŸ˜

Replenish the cups with coffee of compassion ā˜•ā˜•ā˜• and integri'tea' šŸµšŸµšŸµ and you'll earn as many hugs šŸ¤—šŸ¤—šŸ¤— and as much love ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø as in the world there can be. Because justice is not just a virtue, it is the voice of the soul that keeps the conscience alive...

Hope you're going to grab the opportunity to replenish someone else's cuppa we well.

Own your day! Aaj toh Chavan saheb ne sab ko thoda Khush Kar hi Diya hai. Baaki, kal Nayi subah hogi šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

Thanks Janki...what a wonderful writeup...this analysis was the sone pe suhaga on the satiation levels of our viewers who were just waiting till death for Virat sir ka bolna against injustice in the family and that too with focus on dear Vahini...

Amazing episode it was the first half though!!! Their team work, understanding without even eye contact, understanding each other's next move, not withstanding taunts on each other...lovely...patience also has a saturation point ...and the dormant volcano that our Virat sir is..it's high time it blows up with the lava of truths that he has observed and he knows of but never expressed just for the sake of family peace and to avoid controversies...more is yet to happen and come making our expectations go up n down like the lehren in the ocean of hoping against hopes....

Awesome analysis Janki, love your writing skills!

I absolutely loved today’s episode. Sayi was on fire and Virat was assertive. I loved how they complimented each other..

Virat appeared to have nearly reached his breaking point, and has started giving back to PP. This family is definitely toxic, and hopefully all their secrets will unravel..

I wished there was a scene between Sairat... maybe just sharing understanding glance!

Waiting to see how devi-pulkit story unfolds! It’ll be high voltage drama..

Only problem is actress playing PP. she has no facial expressions, she cannot emote. You cannot tell if she’s angry, disappointed or upset.. she just had copied and pasted expressions every single time..

For that matter even I want to know, as when Sai came into the house she did not behave bad with her.

>>> Had this moment gone any further, Ladakh trip yahin cancel ho jata par nahi ek aur show down baaki hain.

Love

Finally i got to see the episode and i must say beautifully explained by you. You have way with words and we are feel really good after reading those words.

Waise going with the flow i am happy with the way the episode has gone, Sai standing up, Virat's support for his brother were very well done.

Pakhi should have stayed quiet, she should not have butted in. He took the opening and it was also the pile up from the previous day, the bedroom wala. But after this we will see a wrath the next day (again a piled up issue) next day, hey bhagwan ye log ka match kab khatam hoga.

Some comments in blue, however have a question though. This is not the first time Mohit was insulted in front of Virat dada, even during Ladakh tour discussion it happened. That time Virat had gestured Mohit to be calm, aaj kya hui gava. Virat always difuses a situation, today he had that strength to stand and reply. Sai is his strength but Virat is going to become Sai's weakness 😳

Also i was wondering why this scene was before the Ladakh trip, this could have been done later or whenever. Now i know why, its for the much awaited show down.

Lets wait for the showdown, i am done with the precap. Mat dikhav precap par vahi dekh dekh ke main bore hogayi. Its like the college admission promo which kept on running.

Thoda time pass karte hain, Ek aur sawal, post the show down - Kon kise manayga. Below are the options

> ACP Saheb - Vahini ko for breaking her dream

> ACP Saheb - Baiko ko for giving her lead

> Vahini - Apne best friend ko - For making him upset

> Aai apne Godu ko - For creating this mess.

Sai is out of question as he brought her in this mess, she was away from all this from start. And i am not referring to the Ladakh trip only.

What an amazing analysis! Always look forward to your posts.

Another point I loved was the way Sai said gup a bas! It reminded me of the times she used to scold her abba for not eating food or making a fuss. A very simple way of showing how much she cares.

I also loved how she speaks to everyone with rest khalijeye, aap khana nahi khayenge etc.

even though according to their relationship and standing she is older, she shows respect to everyone regardless.

On the other hand pakhi doesn’t. She will always put Sai and karishma down because they are younger than her and also the younger bahus of the house.
what Virat said to pakhi that you don’t speak to Sai in the same manner you speak to others is so true.

The little ways in which the difference between someone who is sensible and empathetic (Sai) and someone who is extremely toxic (pakhi) is so great.

I’m glad pakhi didn’t cry at Sai’s taunt, she had this weird smirk which was so irritating. She would probably have had a showdown with virat today only if it weren’t for Sai.

I loved the way Mohit was looking at his vahini, he was so shocked yet grateful that she stood up for him. It’s probably the first time as many mentioned someone has stood up for it!!

So excited to see Mohit joining team Sai! šŸ’ƒšŸ»šŸ’ƒšŸ»

Thank god we didn’t have any šŸŒ€šŸŒ€šŸŒ€šŸŒ€šŸŒ€šŸŒ€šŸŒ€šŸŒ€ today.

One thing struck me while watching today’s episode , Sai’s weakness is Virat and Virat’s weakness is Sai .Both get into self destruction mode during an argument or fight if someone exploits their weakness , while for Sai disappointing Virat is the trigger and for Virat not being important to Sai makes him go from calm , composed to hulk mode . Today we could see the calm and composed Sairat because no one triggered them . Eventually , they Will become each other’s strength. Sometimes one’s strength is their biggest weakness as well so time and again we might see them go into self destruction mode .

Is it just me or did anyone find it odd when Karishma walked away from the dining table , I was expecting her to stay till her emotionally weak husband finishes his dinner . She needs to learn from her Jethani how to pamper husband šŸ˜†... Sai never stopped feeding Virat in the hospital even after Viji woke up and his hands were free 🄰.

I found the whole exam sequence to be illogical, Sai whole time was thinking about Devi Pulkit and I am sure she would have written about mission Devi in her answer sheet .

If i may can i contradict a bit about the weakness part.

Sai is not Virat's weakness, she is becoming his strength he is voicing out against things which he has been seeing since long. His weakness are his emotions (family mainly and now the underived emotions for Sai).

Virat might become Sai's weakness, clear signs dikh toh nahi raha par ho sakta hain. There is one thing she said in previous episode, i listen to you always (in a way she does).
