CHAPTER 18 Love Me Forever
Neil and the gang arrived at the Mumbai airport. All were smiling; their eyes were shining with the joy of their victory and in anticipation of the glamorous and successful start of their career. They got what they wanted. All the hard work of months paid off. They came out of the airport and were immediately surrounded by a throng of media reporters and fans. There were hundreds of fans cheering for them and reporters from almost all leading channels who were pushing aside each other to ask questions from them. First Neil and the gang were shocked to see this much of crowd for their welcome. They knew they have become famous but this much...they have certainly not expected this type of grand welcome. It took some time for Neil to actually believe what he was seeing. He and rest of Hurricane members were speechless. Winning one competition had changed their life overnight. After calming down a little they answered few of their questions and asked them to put other questions in the press conference arranged by the organizers of the show to talk about their upcoming album. After some more time they finally managed to get out of the crowd and headed for their respective places.
Neil looked here and there to search that one face which he was longing to see from weeks. He was sure she will come to receive him. He was running out of patience now but couldn't find her, his Mini. Infact he saw a familiar face which he least expected to be there, he saw Isha coming towards him waiving her hands, she looked different, last time he saw her, she seemed lost in her own world like something was bothering her but now she looked much more confident. A smiled crept on his lips seeing his dear friend after months. Isha came towards him and gave him a tight hug which he returned happily.
āSo good to see you Neil. I missed you a lot.ā Isha said still hugging him.
āI missed you too. Its such a beautiful surprise to see you here. Thanks for coming.āNeil replied pulling himself back from the hug.
Isha smiled, āHow could I have not come, my friend has won an international level competition after all. And after seeing your welcomeā¦ā She waved her hands indicating his huge welcome. āā¦ I can say that you will become a big star soon then I will have to take an appointment to meet you.ā
Neil laughed with her, āOh com' on, I will always have time for special people in my life. So how are you and howz life going on?ā
āEverything is fine with me. In fact, great. I was worried about something few months ago but mom dad have promised me to solve my problem." she replied.
Neil was confused on her answer. He couldn't decipher the meaning behind her words and was about to ask her something when he heard a scream, someone shouting his name. āNeilā¦Neilā¦ā He turned around to find very excited Arya running in his direction with her arms wide open to hug him.
Arya almost jumped on him in excitement, ā Yoo huuu, Neil, you won ,you won and you finally came back. I can't believe it.ā
Neil tried to calm her down, āRelax princess, take a deep breath first.ā
āYou know how happy I am and I told all my friends about you and you know they are jealous of me because I know you and...ā She kept talking on and on without stopping while Neil just watched his innocent little friend with a smile on his face.
Neil started searching for that familiar face of his beloved again thinking, Arya is here then Mini must be here also, but where is she? "You are looking for someone, here and there? Mini di... huh", said Arya, her eyes shining with mischief. Before Neil could answer anything Isha spoke between them.
Sudden mention of Mini's name brought that familiar feeling like something was pricking in her heart again and she also realised that Mini must have also came here along with her sister. She was not sure she wants to see her, see her with Neil. So she decided to leave right now, āSorry to interrupt you guys but I think I should go now, I am late...have to attend a meeting.ā
Arya stopped her in between, āOk, but you have to come to our party this evening.ā
Neil and Isha asked simultaneously, āWhich party?ā
The excitement back in her eyes and voice, āA welcome party. We have arranged a welcome party for Hurricane at our farm house. I have already informed all the other friends.ā
Isha made excuse, āOh actually...I will try but I can't say anything...I am a little busy today. I think I should better go now...I am really getting late for the meeting.ā She said bye to Neil and left from there.
āHmm...surprise party and all...thanks... thank you very much but you came here that's enough. Iss sabki kya jarurat thi? And where is your sister?ā He finally asked her unable to control anymore. Mini was nowhere to be seen.
āOh so you are dying to meet her...huh. ab toh party main aana hi padega kyunki wahan par hi aap unse mil paoge.ā Arya teased him.
Neil asked in confusion, āWhat do you mean?ā
āWell, I have arranged welcome party for all of Hurricane members but my sis has arranged something special just for you.ā She winked at him. āShe said she will see you directly at the party.ā Arya informed him.
Neil suddenly became excited for that party. He couldnāt wait for evening to arrive. āGod! How will I pass time till then?ā He wondered.
After chatting some more Arya decided to leave. She was insisting Neil to come with her but Neil told her that he need to meet his mom first and then will take some rest so that he can dance all night long in the party and since Mini is planning something special for him he also wanted to buy a gift for her.

Neil entered into his house. He felt strange. He gave luggage to the servant and looked at the house as if trying to notice if any changes made or not while he was away. The house was same, same walls, carpets, furniture...nothing changed but still he felt something odd when he stepped inside...something amiss...a cold voice brought him out of his reverie.
āSo finally that circus is over and you came back home.ā Yash taunted.
āIt was music competition dad. And your son has won it. At least put up a fake smile if not genuine one.ā Neil replied coldly.
Yash was suddenly furious as if reminded of his defeat, āAnd you think you won the challenge between us just because you won that circus award.ā
Neil sighed, he had expected this behavior from Yash, āFor the last time dad it was not a circus it was a competition...an international level competition and I won it. You should have seen that...what a huge welcome people gave us at the airport. You had given me two years of time to prove myself and I have already done that...accept the fact dad.ā
āOh please get yourself out of this day dreaming; just winning a competition doesn't prove anything. These people will forget you in 3-4 days.You have long way to go to prove your point.ā Yash reminded of the ephemeral nature of fame that comes with reality shows.
Neil laughed sarcastically, āOh com'on dad, stop fooling yourself.We both know that it just the matter of few days before our album is released and I win completely and then...goodbye to your stinking business, your Hitler like rules and your mountain like ego. The great Yash Oberoi...my dad will be defeated soon.ā
Yash was now literally shaking in rage, clenching his fist and gritting his teeth to control his anger somehow, āHow dare you talk to me like that Neil? Deal or no deal you will do as I say, you understand. If you want to live in this house then you have to follow my rules or else...or else I will disown you...you'll have to go...from the property, from the house, from our lives.ā He poured out all the venom and went away leaving a completely shocked Neil behind.
Neil had anticipated their argument but he never expected him to be this angry and what did he say? Disown him, break all the relations with him...yeah right, what is left in their relation anyways. As he walk upstairs to meet his mom he got the answer to his question; environment, the environment of this house has changed. There is no warmth of a home here anymore instead a strange coldness has seeped into the rooms and into the relations also. It does not give the feeling of home anymore. He sighed dejectedly and kept walking towards his mom's room. He knocked the door and Seema opened it.
Seema gave a big smile and hugged him, āHey Neil, my son. You are finally here. I missed you. I am very happy for you and I am proud of you. Congrats for the show.ā
Neil saw her mother looked happy and noticing that she is not drunk today so he can talk to her properly, his gloomy mood lit up considerably,āThanks mom. I missed you too.ā
Both mom and son talked and talked about lots of things. Finally Neil felt contented after a long time.
Seema " Neil I think we should celebrate your victory. What about a party?ā
āMom, actually Mini's and her sister Arya has already thrown a party at their farm house to welcome us. I will be going there this evening.ā
Seema ruffled his hair affectionately, āOk son go enjoy your evening.ā
Neil hesitated and also blushed a little, āMom I need your help.You know Mini will be there. I will be meeting her after so long. I heard that she is planning something special for me. So I was thinking that I should also give surprise to her. You know mom I promised her that once I'll win this show we'll get married so I was thinking I should propose her for marriage. What do you think? Will you help me in choosing the ring?ā
Seema smiled through the tears of happiness, āOh Neil, I am so happy for you beta, may God give you all the happiness of the world. And no need to go anywhere for the ring. She stood up and walked up to the cupboard.She opened the locker and took out a beautiful box from inside. āHere you are, give this to Mini.ā She handed the box to Neil. Neil opened it and found a very beautiful diamond ring. It was very classy and had the old world charm to it yet it looked so delicately and exquisitely beautiful. Your grandma gave this to me Neil. This has been passed on from one generation to other to the daughter in law of the Oberoi family. When you told me about Mini I had decided then that I will give it to you for her at the right time.ā
Neil hugged his mom and said thank you. He was really happy today. Finally he will meet Mini and will propose her for marriage. He could already imagine her delighted expression, tears of happiness in her eyes. He smiled thinking of her and went in his room to get some rest before the big night.

Party was at a full swing at Singhās farm house. Arya invited all her school friends, music school friends and all of her and Neil and Mickey's friends. Singhās farm house was decorated beautifully with colorful lights. Everything was perfect from food to decorations and music. Dj was playing hit numbers and everyone was busy dancing and enjoying themselves a lot. Mickey, Jazz ,Bobby, Preet all were present already and were having a blast with Arya dancing along with them. When Neil made an entry wearing blue jeans and maroon shirt. He teamed it with sexy greyish black jacket.
Looking as handsome as ever, he joined rest of the group. Arya introduced him and other members of Hurricane to her friends proudly. They again got busy in enjoying the party while Neil became restless now. He was constantly searching for Mini in the party but couldn't find her anywhere. Arya was enjoying looking at his condition and his impatience but she also felt bad for him as this all teasing was too much for him. But she couldn't help him either as Mini had strictly instructed her to keep him busy until she completes her preparation upstairs. Neil searched her for half an hour here and there and finally got frustrated. "Where are you Mini? Damn...what type of stupid game is this? Yahan meri aankhein taras rahi hai tumhe dekhne k liye aur tumhe meri koi fikar hi nahi hai", He thought.
Arya heard her phone ringing and and received it only hearing a very angry Mini on the other side. Mini almost screamed in the phone, āWhere were you idiot. I am calling you since 10 minutes.ā
"Oh sorry. I think music ke shor mein kuch sunai nahi diya.ā Arya replied smiling sheepishly.
āYa, whatever, preparations all done here, you can send him upstairs.āMini said.
āOk princess, I am sending your prince charming. By the way, he is looking so handsome today. Enjoy your lovey dovey evening.ā Arya said with naughty grin. She could feel Mini must have rolled her eyes at her.
Arya went in search of Neil and found him near the pool sitting alone.
āOffo Neil tum yahan ho. I was searching for you inside.ā Arya said.
Neil showed fake anger, āI am not talking to you. You are at your sister's side who is so hell bent on torturing me.ā
Arya laughed, āAre you sure you don't wanna talk to me because I am here to tell you about her only.
Neilās eyes lit up in excitement, āHaan haan jaldi batao where is she?ā
Arya laughed even more at his impatience, āShe is upstairs, on the terrace garden, waiting for you.ā
Neil hugged Arya thanking him and almost ran to meet his love. He reached the terrace garden then abruptly stopped at the entrance. He couldn't believe what he saw. He blinked few times and then stared the surrounding to take in the beauty of the place decorated so marvelously. The terrace garden was already so beautiful with the plants of different colorful flowers.Adding to its beauty was the gazebo made of red and golden lights and flowers inside which there was table for two. Whole place was decorated with red and golden aromatic candle making it a surreal dream date scene. Neil came out of the trance and looked for Mini but couldn't see her. He moved forward and called her- "Mini, where are you Mini". In response he heard Mini's voice but couldn't see her anywhere, "Did you like all this Neil".
āLike? Mini, I loved it. Its fantastic. I can't believe...you have done all this for me. Thanks. But where are you. Come in front of me. I want to see you. I cant wait anymore.ā
āNeil...no, I mean I don't know whether you will like it or not...I mean I never tried such...ā Neil could hear the hesitation in her voice but he couldnāt understand why it was there.
Neil finally lost his calm and patience and said in a louder voice then intended, āWhat is this Mini. Is this some kind of game for you? I am dying to see you and you...ever since I have returned the first person I wanted to see is you but you didn't come at the airport and then you made me wait here for hours and now what...fine. If you don't want to come...I am going.ā He turned around and started walking in angry strides, stomping his feet but stopped when he felt that Mini hugging him from back.
āI am sorry Neil. Don't be mad at me. I didn't mean to hurt you.ā Mini replied still hugging him. āWhat took you so long?ā Neil asked. His stiffed body relaxed a bit and his hands held her hands.
He could feel her body's warmth. He took a long breath letting that mind blowing body fragrance of her filling his senses. āOh Mini...why you keep testing my patience? You know I missed you so much...so much.ā He turned around to hug her properly and captured her petite figure in his strong arms. Then he kissed her forehead repeatedly mumbling " I love you" between the kisses. He broke their hug to have a proper look at her and what he saw made his mouth go dry and the only word he managed to speak was...WOW.ā
Mini was wearing short ruby color tube dress which was sleeveless. It had plunging neckline which accentuated her curves and it ended a good few inches above her knees giving a perfect view of her slender legs. On left side it had a bow knot tied near the shoulder due to which Mini was looking nothing short of alluring gift wrapped in red gift wrapper for Neil. She had paired the dress with golden earrings and high heels.
She was looking smoking hot in that short ruby color dress and then it dawned upon him as to why she was hesitant in coming in front of him. She had never dressed this bold. Then he noticed that when he is busy in ogling at her and clearly checking her out in this sexy outfit she seems very shy about it. She is looking down continuously and her cheeks have turned into deep shades of red. She is adjusting her dress every now and then in a futile attempt to cover her flesh which is showing off at all the right place a little more than her comfort. Neil immediately took off his jacket and covered her with it.
Mini was confused about his gesture asked hesitatingly, āNeil why...I mean you didn't like it...like my dress?
Neil held her from shoulders, āYou are looking gorgeous Mini. Absolutely breath taking that I fear if I continue to stare you like this, it will be a death of me.ā
Mini pointed to the jacket, āThen why you...ā She couldn't complete her sentence and tried to remove the jacket.
Neil stopped her, āBecause doesn't matter how much I will love to see you forever like this but its not about me, its about your comfort, your liking and preferences. You never wore such dresses then why this change?ā
Mini held his hand, āRemember once we went to shopping and you were looking at a short party dress on a mannequin and then you asked me whether I liked such dresses or not. That time I chided you but later I thought that you would want to see in that type of dress some day. So I thought...since you were coming...we were meeting after so long I wanted to...to please you...ā She caressed his face. āI wanted to see you happy so all this preparations and this...dress for our special evening.ā
Neil was speechless after hearing her reason. He took her hand which was caressing his face and kissed it. Then he hugged her tight. That was all he could do to show his love because his voice was choked with the emotions he felt and he was unable to say anything.
After composing himself he broke the hug and make her look into his eyes and said, "Mini, I love everything about you, your innocence, you beauty and above all your simplicity. I love you the way you are. You don't need to change yourself for me. You look beautiful in simplest of clothes you wear. And though you look good enough to eat in this dress but no need to do this to please me. Everything about you makes me happy. Your melodious wind chimes like smile, your big innocent baby brown eyes...your rosy petals like lips and above all the fact that you are mine...I can live my whole life just like this...holding you...close to me...very close" His eyes were now fixed at her lips and slowly he removed that distance by capturing them in his own to taste their nectar. Mini also surrendered herself in his arms completely and got lost in the magic which his proximity always created between them. The kiss was perfect for her, passionate yet gentle, neither fast nor slow...good enough to feel his love in it...perfect...just like him...perfect.
After what seemed like eternity they broke the kiss. āCome, we can't waste all your hard work to decorate a table for us so lets eat something.ā While moving Mini removed his jacket from her dress and made him wear it again when he gave a questioning glance to her she said confidently looking in his eyes,"I don't feel uncomfortable anymore"
They had their dinner peacefully just enjoying each others' company.After dinner they decided to take a stroll in the garden. They walked hand in hand saying nothing but only listening to the music of silence of night which had brought them closer once again. They settled themselves on a swing. Mini put her head on his shoulders and look up at the sky to admire the beauty of the sky.
Mini pointed towards sky, āNeil look the moon is looking so beautiful tonight.ā
āHey, Mini it's a full moon. You remember the day when we were on the beach and you made our first promise of love that you'll never leave me. That night was also a full moon night.
Mini smiled remembering those moments, āHow can I forget Neil. And yes, do you remember our first date, that night was also a full moon night. I guess this moon has been the witness of all our beautiful moments.ā Mini giggled.
Neil stood up as he felt the moment was perfect, āYes Mini and now I want it to witness another beautiful moment of our life.ā
Mini was confused what he is talking about. She was about to ask when he went on his knees and held her hands in his while Mini was still confused.
āMini, I fell in love with you when I first saw you in that traffic jam. From that very day this love has only been increasing for you. And now I have reach to point where I can't imagine the life where you are not there with me.Your love...my feelings for you...you know... its sometime so overwhelming that I fear that Iāll go crazy one dayā¦ā Neil laughed at the thought. ā.. Only you can save me Mini. You are that life drug that keeps me going on or else I would have faded in the dark long ago. Without you I am nothing...so will you give meaning to my life? Will you stand by me always? Will you love me forever? Will you Ms. Mini Singh...will you marry me?ā
He took out the ring form his pocket and waited for her answer. And as he imagined earlier he saw the happy tears moistening her eyes. She wanted to say lots of things but couldn't say it but her tears said it all and taking it as yes Neil slipped that ring in her ring finger which fit in perfectly as if it was made only for her. Neil stood up and she jumped into his arms. They stayed like this for a while and after along time Mini answered his question, "Yes I will marry you. I will love you forever."
Neil broke the hug, āWell ..my love then lets celebrate our little moment. What about a dance?ā
Mini ,nodding in agreement, switched on the music player and melodious song started-

Neil pulled her close and put his one hand on her tiny waist while held her hand with his other hand. They started moving slowly to the tune of the song. Their eyes locked, their hands entwined, their breath caressing each other's face. The emotions were all over the place.

Neil turned her around and pulled her closer once more. He rested his chin on her shoulders and encircled her waist with his hands while Mini put her hands on his and swayed with the beats of music. Their mind replaying their beautiful moments together, heart reminding of unconditional love and their bodies aware of the proximity.

They were face to face once again, this time closer. Neil held her more passionately. He opened his one arm which was holding her so that she twirled and then again came close to him. Then they put their hands on each others' shoulders moving in synchronization with the music. Every fiber of body urging to get closer and closer drawing in the warmth from other.

At last Neil twirled her once more and dropped her low by holding her from the waist. They stood like that for few seconds. Then slowly he lifted her up and pulled her closer. The song had ended already and another song had started but both were too lost in each other to notice it. Both shared an intense eye lock. Neil cupped her face and begin to close the distance between them. Finally he took her lips into his. She didn't know whether it was the effect of romantic song or the fact that he had proposed her or anything else but she felt herself responding to his kiss more passionately than ever.
The kiss which started as slow and passionate soon turned wild. As their tongues started the dance of their own Mini felt as if she is burnt from inside. She immediately tightened her hold on him and slipped her hands in his silky hairs. Her reaction made him hungry for her more, his kiss become more demanding and he started caressing her back. His one hand rested on her small waist and pulled her more close to him not letting even the air pass between them.
Mini felt his hard body pressed so close to her soft one and like electric current flow in her veins in the form of blood and urging her to get more. They have kissed before but today was something different...the need was more urgent...more maddening. She hold on to him for support or she would have fallen.
Her each and every reaction was making him lose his control. It was always difficult for him to control himself around her but somehow he always managed to do it but today it felt as if he no longer have any control on his heart and his actions and her short dress was not helping much. In fact it was teasing him to taste that bare flesh but with all his will power he managed to stop himself and broke the kiss. But Mini on the other hand almost growled in protest. She didn't let him go and kissed him again. She bit his lower lip making him open his mouth and played for a while with his tongue. Neil was surprised at first, he was not expecting this from Mini. She was always shy and timid while making out. But this only encouraged him and he began to place open mouth kisses on her neck and shoulders. He continued this sweet assault upto her cleavage which was looking tantalizing in her low neck dress.
He licked his way up to her throat. With his each and every kiss and move Mini forget everything around her. Her only reality was Neil...only Neil. Unable to hold more, she began to remove his jacket. This brought Neil out of his trance. He distanced himself from her with difficulty. With the racing heartbeats and shallow breath he said, "Mini...I think we should stop it before it goes out of our hands.ā
"Neil, I donāt want to stop. I want you. I want you to love forever like this.", said Mini panting heavily. āLets not waste this precious moment in thinking...Neil just love me.ā She whispered in his ears again after placing soft kisses on his jawline. For few seconds Neil couldn't say anything. He couldn't believe that the moment which he wanted desperately has come...finally come. She was giving herself willingly to him. He kissed her hard this time with renewed passion, the wild fire of their love consumed both of them and they both happily let themselves swayed by their desires for each other.
After kissing him to her heartās content, she held his hand and led him to the adjoining room. Neil merely followed her as if captivated in her charm. They entered the room and Mini closed the doors behind them. Meanwhile the song on music player was changed.

Neil lifted her bridal style and lowered her on the bed while Mini kept looking in his eyes. The waves of his love was threatening to engulf her in its arms and she wanted to get drowned today. Neil discarded his shirt and lie down beside her. He caressed her body. His fingers felt like feather was touching her, giving ticklish feeling. She was loosing her mind slowly. Neil bend down to shower her with light kisses. Nothing mattered to her any more. She was overwhelmed by her desires and the blissfulness of being loved by Neil. It made her eyes moist.

Soon, she didn't even realize when, whatever little piece of clothing which in the name of dress was covering her delectable body was lying discarded on the floor. She was lost in the sensation which she was experiencing when Neil was adoring her womanly assets with his wet kisses and wrapping them in the warmth of his lips. She felt his body weight shifted and now he was almost on top of her as he looked into her eyes for the permission to go ahead. In answer Mini pulled him for a kiss and whispered, "Make me yours Neil." She had never been this sure for anything in her life. Soon the two lovers united reducing all the distances between them.

Both were panting heavily but were feeling content and satisfied. Neil rested his head on her chest listening to her heartbeats which calmed him down instantly. While Mini lay silently caressing his hairs and back occasionally.She felt complete. Nothing could be as great as this. She had her paradise in her arms.
