Yehi iska major internal conflict hai... he just can't deal with the thought of being unfaithful to the one he spent 7 saal with. His basic problem is ke yeh nahi rakh paaya apna word of being faithful to malini before going to.pagdandiya there was special emphasis on malini ka baar baar pagdandiya main kisi aur ke na ho jaayeiga and his reassurances toh isko wohhhh bohat zyada torture karta hai ke apna word nabi rakb paayaa and yeh iski yeh honesty and sach bolne wali personality ki wajah se haii as you guys said moral issue hai.. matlab ab bhi he was like acha hi hota marr jaata atleast word pe toh pura uttarta na.. he simply can't with the fact ke isko koi iss tarah question kare ya Langham lagaye ke yeh nahi kar saka wafa ya loyal na reh paaya.. it is a mix of both dhoka ho gaya malini se whom he considers his pyar hahah so babusahib khud beech main phanse hain caz he feels even more guilty ke ek toh dhoka hua woh bhi iske oyar se kisi aise waise se nahi.. but malini ain't the oyar babushaib yehi toh jhol hai

Thank oo ji 🤣 I also find him creepy , don’t know the reason for that 😆 Mujhe bhi kas ke thappad marne ka mann karta hai usko. You can imagine how averse I am to his character that I even find sure sure better and could relate to her more🤣 Also the scene where he just goes and randomly asks Imlie tumhare Maa ka naam kya hai? 🤣 Does he think Meethi might have a child and he did not bother all these years to atleast check on that?

Yep, you've summed it up very well....it's like he feels that he wasn't able to keep his word to Malini by marrying her first toh ab yehi bachaa hai uske paas to never allow the label of his patni to be given to anyone but Malini.

He's so hung up on the technicalities of keeping his word, he isn't even realizing that he hasn't paused to actually reflect about what he's even feeling for Malini anymore....and if he's only staying with her to keep a promise, that will also end up leaving both of them hollow in the long run. He should be with her because he loves her, not to fulfill a 7 year long promise. His righteous nature blinds him to some things which require a broader self-reflection.

If he was approaching this directly and him and Malini actually had the kind of relationship he THINKS they have, he would have found a way to tell her and then begged forgiveness and found a solution so that they could be together. But the fact that ek hi jhatke ke baad their relationship didn't look like it could withstand a challenge like this says a lot. Yehi Adi ko realize karne mein time lagega I guess....that he is desperate to save his relationship with Malini but if the relationship was actually his dream and goal as he is claiming, it would have withstood all these winds.

Aaj ke epi mein bhi Sundar-Imli banter tha😆.....all signs are pointing towards the family waale deffo trying to pair them up😆. Babusahib toh aaj hi chidh rahe the Sundar se for telling the whole family about Imlie's gaaonwaale coming to visit her.....aage gala na dabaa de yeh Sundar Bandar ka😆

THIS he is too consumed in believing in this cover-up theory and trying to make a bubble kind if world where nothing else exists ek tarah adi iss waqt apne head main hi hai with this.. caz ground reality is very different. The fact ke itna sa vhi jhel nahi paayi iski mun.. itna sa bhi honesty ya trust nahi hai... it does says something when he can't find another way to confront her in a more comfortable setup maybe.. he just put a top after one attempt to tell her caz itna darr gaya. I am not saying ke iski neeyat kharab hai or he thinks ke bas maine toh try kia ab nahi hua toh nahiii. But the thing is he didn't tried enough caz he'd rather leave it open ended then try to test the resltuinshio again by being honest about it. Aisa kaise ho sakta hai ek they claim to share everything yet they don't know how too. Phir kya share karna hua jab ab bhi nahi bata paa raha. Iska toh ek hi conclusion hai na ke iss rishte ki "neev" bohat hi zyada kamzor haii imlie or no imlie

Yes, the morality dilemma is also a part of it....Adi is a righteous soul in many ways too given his whole pursuit of truth and justice mindset as a reporter. He already feels like he's in a moral quagmire with the way he was forced to marry Imlie....so it's like he's developed a rigid mental block that says that as long as he commits in his head that only Malini has a right over him, all other truths can be ignored and he will pass the morality bar he has set for himself. All this time, Imlie was being blamed cuz her very existence in front of him was threatening his ability to pass the morality exam. He is trying to make it black and white when it's very much grey right now.

It is really a catch 22 situation, nobody would want to be in. Like you said he is a reporter and sach samne laana is his job, so its even more difficult for him. It all started with his zabardasti ki shaadi without no fault of his. After that point he has tried a number of ways to somehow make it right but the more he tries to get away from the fact, the more the truth comes right in front of him by some play of destiny.

LOL I'm mostly neutral on Dev....he doesn't evoke any strong reactions from me either ways....he's kinda lame in his scenes with Mrs. C but his scenes with Imlie are fine IMO. I zone out his constant moping over Meethi....maine kaafi forward kiye woh scenes around the AM shaadi

Thats the thing I had to watch all those mopey scenes and I just can’t unsee them. 😆 Also Meethi making that dolls of him and also taking that with her to Delhi is nonsensical. Ek hi rakho air uski pooja karo, why a whole sandook. 😆

I can tolerate Dev in his scenes with Imlie , but as Fary said there is something weird about him which I can’t shake off.

Haha yes, Mrs. C does make some valid points sometimes....like her point about Adi neglecting her daughter for his career is true on a level....bas she says it in a very kadva way.

Her tone and the way she berates people is unacceptable. But her concerns for her daughter at times are legit and practical.

LOL Adi reserves some special sarcasm for Mrs. C and I do quite enjoy it when he manages to retort cleverly to her constant taunts....she knows when he's insulting her in the guise of "polite retort"

He really has a clever way of dealing with Mrs C most of the times 😆 In that shahad wala scene too I liked the way he retorted to her taunts😆

The family scenes are warm in every epi and that is why the emotional connect sustains and isn't dependent on scenes of just one character or jodi.

That is one of the biggest USP of the show.
