Yes, he's shown little germs of male-centrism before which were residual part of his upbringing. It was his withdrawal of validation that pissed me off because it was cruel. He might have ways to process his emotions but 'Virat' does not need to be cruel either.

It was a serious breach of code to call for Pakhi, but it was also very funny? I think Sai registered it as a tantrum and got down to business asap.

Yes she did and so she asked him the questions where it has ended but I think the damage is done to the conversation that could have been and to the moment that could have been cherished and also to her mind.

Yep, because these two did not a natural progression of relationship; these things will harm and confound her. Much like their lunches, their conversations have been jinxed by Badi Vahini, but more so by Virat's emotions.

Also, just a side-note: But the allure of Mohe rang do laal was so appropriate — hesitant but pulsing. Even before Virat went into the room, he'd started reacting to the song.

If he considered himself as her husband and believed she accepts him as her husband he would not be having so many insecurities. It's not the husband in him which is making him react this way, it's a man who has started to feel something for this woman but is scared of losing her. He feels he has no rights over her hence he fears she might leave him any moment. It's not like I am her husband and she cannot have any male friends. He is desperate for her attention and most of the times the root of resentments and hurt feelings stem from not feeling heard, valued, or respected.

Haan so we are both saying the same thing. I used the word husband in place of the man you said here .. to mean "pyaar wala husband" not deal wala😆 yes, I agree.

He's not even saying she can't have male friends actually. It wouldn't matter. It is only when some male seems like he's getting her attention that the husband (man) in him begins turning green. The way she described the feeling of "pata Nahi iski awaz sunkar mujhe kya ho Gaya..." was enough to stab his insecurity as a pyaar-husband/man falling in love.

*Edit : pyaar wala husband who has emotions for her and the longing too

Lovely write up as always. Also sensed the slight disappointment with Virat. Well, not disappointment but ' tum to aise na the'.

Sai is my fav and I will always defend her. But today I really felt bad for Virat. He is clearly attracted towards Sai, and it's not just physical though, that is also becoming obvious, the way he looks at her. Makers very smartly get these nuances in, even within the midst of headache inducing drama, and that's actually what pulls me towards the show.

His reactions were hilarious, and he didn't want to sound angry, he was trying hard not to fight but his jealousy got the better of him.

What can be expected from a boy who has grown up in such a toxic environment? Ashwini has taught him his basic values, but as we keep hearing in articles on child rearing, " Children will not follow what you say, they will follow what you do," or " The best thing you can do for a boy is show him you love his mother". I have boys and I found this quote so relevant.

he has watched his mother do her duty as he thought it it should be done. So he has these expectations from his wife. Or does he?

For he is also such a forthright, compassionate person at work. I still remember his intro at GC, with the auto driver.

There's a conflict definitely between the person he is and the person he wants to be. Besides that of course, the obvious conflict - pull towards Sai and the frustration of being caught up in his own promises and deals.

I kept wondering how does he expect Sai to respond to him as a wife when he does not keep that respect in mind when interacting with pakhi. Today too, when she sadly mentioned the room, it is true, she will naturally feel that way. She had to leave the room because of his friend and he did not say a word plus, PP remained in the room, and fed him, according to Sai.

But why does'nt he get it?

Today I concluded, he will never get it. He desperately wants Sai to show some inclination towards him. For what though? Just to get an ego boost and he can continue to behave with her as per his whims. (Interestingly, in this mix, is the fact that Sai will never compromise on her self respect). All these fights will make sense only if he introspects a bit.

Sai needs to introspect too. She did provoke him, I felt, but more out of familiarity with him, rather than a personal attack.

Maybe the alta pooja she does for him will truly touch him, and make him feel important?? Because in his mind, in the patriarchal set up at home, that's what he sees as affectionate. But what about him? When will he begin to give Sai the respect of a wife? or sub consciously, he will follow his ideal, his father. I want Ashwini to din some sense into him desperately. She can do it, if she's firm enough.

All these serious questions apart, I enjoyed the episode. Typically cutesy Sairat. God knows when we will get another one?!

There is no yes and no answer to this.

IPS officers do not get regular postings in their own city as per guidelines.

In fact, even getting posting in your home state is a big challenge. States accept new recruits in IPS in the ratio of 2:1 (outside:home state candidate) every year. That means barely one or two vacancies for a home-state candidate. Also, they have to list their preferential states for an appointment at the time of their training and they can certainly put their home state on top of the list but to get posted into the home state, the officer should be a merit rank holder. Even if they get their home state, they will never be posted in their home district, forget city as regular recruits. Yes, they could be appointed to some special agency, which can have its base in their home city but you got to be really lucky to have that.

So, technically an IPS officer will never be in a regular posting in his home city.

But for the sake of this show -- any IPS officer posted anywhere is entitled to accommodation as part of his perks. Now, if he's a district or city head, he would definitely get a swanky government accommodation but if not, then he will receive benefits of rental accommodation, including maintenance of the rental property he resides in during his posting.

Hope that answers.

I was asking coz I was thinking sairat should shift to virat's quarter tabhi vo Shanti se reh payenge or unke fights bhi kam hongi, virat will not be staying home all day & sai will be free to do what she want.
