Loved the postt!! So apt. This is such a big peeve of mine...nothing is worse than a poorly scripted villain because they then become the comic relief like our Didi is now. Bahut naa-insaafi.

The makers had all the ingredients to make the viewers truly confused on who to root for...Pakhi or Sai. They could have explored her hurt and her angst at her hasty decision and the impact of it...and the despair on Virat's marriage while maintaining her dignity. She could have truly been Virat's best friend....been a helping hand to Sai and all this would have still been great for exploring the underlying conflict that both the women are inexplicably tied to this man and because both are amazing, us as viewers would have also been conflicted.

Hurt, despair could have slowly evolved into desperation and at that point she could have evolved as the "machiavellian" self that stops at nothing to get Virat. Cos at this point you might think oh sabr ka pull finally toota and camp Pakhi would have maybe truly sided with her.

Alas...we are unfortunately subjected to a 2 second "love" story, a terrible vaada, zero emotional connection and comic attempts at trying to one-up a clearly outstanding 18 year old. Le Sigh (or should I say Le Sai?)

Amazing main post and this. This is true. He didn't actually have a 'heart break' as much as the disappointment at not having got a chance to pursue. "Chali gayi wo" was something he told sunny when he realised he had missed the chance. And he not only rescued Sai and behaved normally but also was able to counsel his so called love to accept her husband into her life on the wedding night. We didn't have any break down scenes or monologue after he had handed over that mangalsutra to Samrat and answered Kamal Joshi's call for help. In fact, the very next disappointment was Sai running towards her Aaba instead of acknowledging him at the forced wedding when he held Jagtap at gunpoint 😆

Yes and that's the reason she's the worst vamp in the history of ITV. Others actually have some rationale behind their evil intentions, which sometimes has even made me sympathize with the negative characters too. But her evil intentions are just a result of her stupidity and idiocity. Plus her acting makes it even more difficult for me to relate to her.
