I don't think he ruined her life by marrying her, but I also think this has just multiplied her woes and worries. The show may have looked better if he didn't marry but just let her stay in a hostel and sponsored her or just acted as her guardian and gradually they fell in love, and later married or something.

But behind Virat's marriage decision, when he had the chance to run away from there with Sai's help is something I never understood. He looked so stern on marrying her and I somehow feel a part of him married her for his selfish reasons (not anything inappropriate).

I won't say he has ruined her life because he has time to change what has gone wrong and it appears like he is seeing through it.

If he doesn't take corrective steps, then it will go in the direction of "ruining" her life. As of now, with all the care and compassion and platonic love that he genuinely has for her, he has definitely saved her. If he can use his shaant dimaag and do the spashth talking, they will actually be happy together because Sai does feel deeply for him too -- not love yet. I don't think she would be happy without him. And life always brings you a package of some things you may not like. So, it is about what you do of the lemons it throws at you.

Exactly, Janki. Especially the statement. Sai and Virat genuinely do make a beautiful couple and story. It's the Chavan's harassment and Pakhi's behaviour that I find invasive. And the daily chunauti that Sai goes through.

Plus spoilers and KD (or other remakes) genuinely make this story a bit crazy. So, I genuinely hope it doesn't take that route. I hope this show takes a better route. But for the last few weeks, I'm losing hope. Virat needs to snap out of it and see the harassment his wife is going through. Plus Kaku and gang visibly plotting to cause distress to Sai is just wrong and unjustified on so many levels.

But let's see, we can hope for the best and be prepared for the worst.

I don't have an issue in him marrying her. They're adults who can take their own decision. My issue is with the storyline trajectory this show is taking - abusive in-laws (from a family of government officials), the daily harassment, let's not start on inappropriate Pakhi-Virat and the beginning of torture Sai goes though. I think we all agreed to 50% SaiRat (for TRP) and 50% drama (negotiable, ofc). But for the past week or two, its 100% torture Sai.

Behen, this is a TV show. IRL Sai would definitely leave the Chavans with or without Virat. But if you read the main post, you would realise how illogical this is to make sure that Sai is bound to Virat.

And no one has an issue with Virat. The issue is the fact that Virat married Sai into a family that thrives on harassing her. And he in a way supports them. Just like he silently agrees with the abuse his mother undergoes on a daily basis. That is problematic. And the constant ehsaan jatana.

Sai toh told him to run away, na? Even volunteered to help him.

All Virat needs to do is speak up for his wife! But knowing ITV show and trp - yeh toh hone wala nai hai.

Men never snap out that quick. Not because they are wicked but because they are genuinely in the line of the crossfire. No one wants to abandon family for spouse or spouse for family. It is a tricky situation, especially since Sai is also a loose cannon. He needs to take control of his family's behaviour and also compassionately explain to Sai what he thinks and wishes for the two of them. I would like to give him that chance.

Definitely virat has not "ruined" sai's life.

However regressive, orthodox and crude this sounds but what he said in today's episode was true that "ek bar ghar se bahar jakar dekho, aate daal ka bhav pata chal jayega, tum apni scholarship aur aaba ke paiso se life nahi chala sakti"

Maana ki chavans bahut orthodox hain, kameene hain to the core but joint family hai...kuch log bure to kuch achhe bhi to hain

Aur virat ki wo baat bhi bilkul theek hai ki sai koi kitaab padh lene Se life mein successful nahi ho jayegi use experience, maturity, tehraav ki jarurat hai jo virat use sikhana chahta hai

Unki koi love marriage nahi hai...bahut weird se haalat mein shadi hui hai....time lagega...fights bhi hongi...mis understanding bhi hongi...but they will survive agar unke rishte mei wo baat hogi nahi to ise tutne se koi nahi rok sakta

Isliye kuch fights and arguments se sirf ek insan ko galat batana theek nahi hai
