Wahaj is damn good in romantic roles. I became fan of him after watching his expressions in this cute short web film with Minal called doodh patti , not to mention in also ehed e wafa, so looking forward to see him in obessesive lover avatar. It will be fun. 😀

My two cents on the first episode -

I got flashbacks of two dramas which broke my heart in 2020 - Ishqiya and Deewangi 😆 A madly in love boyfriend named Hamza who will get dumped? Check. The soon to be obsessive ex who is rich and stylish,the familiar actors and Durrani House? Check.

Let me begin with Hamza.He seems to be passionately in love with Dil Nasheen and I must say that Wahaj looks fantastic as a rich and suave lovestruck guy. He impressed me greatly in the teasers as well. Since this is very first grey/dark character,I feel he will shine in it. Hiba and Wahaj looked really cute together.

FQ did a total 360° turn from Sardar Saif in Muqaddar. I guess he,too,wanted to try out something different. But I really couldn't figure out Haider's mind. He is clearly not over Mehmal. I meam reminiscing about your married ex is one thing but watching your old videos at this stage reeks of obsession. He seems to be that kind of a character who can be easily manipulated though.Also it took one glimpse at Dil Nasheen for him to decide that he would be spending the rest of his life with her? I mean,dude,you could have atleast asked the lady first

I don't have much to say about Mehmal for she seems to be pretty unidimensional at this stage.

I loved Haider's mom. She savagely destroyed Mehmal in one go🤣I hope her characterization remains intact in the long run.

Another thing which impressed me was the styling and wardrobe of all the four leads. Kiran's outfits are gorgeous and Hiba's are elegant. Both the men look pretty stylish and smart as well keeping in their characters in mind.

My initial assessment after watching the promos is that this drama is going to revolve around a battle of obsessions as it was highlighted in the teasers. It will be Hamza's fitoor to win Dil Nasheen back vs Haider's fitoor to remain stuck in a past in which Mehmal loved him. In order to defeat Hamza's obsession which can destroy his marriage,Haider has to overcome his own obsession which is holding him back.

As we've already seen in the promos,Hamza's parents reject DN. I guess DN will inform Hamza about Haider's proposal as a result of which Hamza will send his parents to her house. But they double cross him and DN ends up marrying Haider. That's when Hamza will channel Sultan Durrani and go beserk 😈

I also couldn't understand Haider's characterization. I mean he was all pining for Mehmal but fell instantly for Dilnasheen which seemed a bit unrealistic to me.

Wahaj did play a grey role in ghisi piti mohabbat but he was only there for a short while and this kind of obessissive grey character will definitely be a first for him.

This is the first time I am watching Faisal Qureshi on screen and I liked him instantly. He has that quiet mature man attitude but with an underlying current of obsession with his ex. Wahaj was pretty nice too.

U absolutely nailed the analysis of everyone's different obsessions. I guess I'd add here that Mehmal's obsession is her beauty and the need to have her husband love her. She is very superficial and can only feel emotions to a certain extent. Reminds me of Mehwish from MPTH.

I loved how both the men are rich and belong to the upper class but have their own distinct personality if you know what I mean. Like Haider is new money and Hamza is old money so you can sense the difference in their behaviour and attitude.

Somewhere I see both the guys channeling Sultan Durrani, since Deewangi was the producers' and channel's biggest hit and Sultan was the show. Danish had done such a phenomenal job. Period. I had probably fangirled and rooted for a character from a South Asian show after years. 😆 So no matter what show it is, if a male character shows traits of obsession, love, not getting over their ex and having loads of money you will definitely be reminded of Sultan...plus the producers and channel's the same sooooo 😆
