For one, he ain't any less toxic, and if his mother's prior interviews are to be believed, the toxicity was inculcated from a young age.

For another, he's not the only one doing well. Ranveer is, too. Deepika and Alia's shelf life might be shorter, but both have been smart enough with their money to live in luxury on their own. They're just working together to keep up the brand images and relevance.

Look at the publicity they're getting for one evening's partying! This, despite no releases for any of them.

Happens all the time. They could've even spun the history between RK and DP if they'd behaved in a dignified way earlier. I mean romances happen, and they end. Doesn’t mean friendships can't form. But all 4 behaved in a pretty crass manner (Alia less than the other 3). So the current camaraderie looks sordid.

OTOH, without the sordidness, no one would've noticed, so... 😆
