I think Pakhi's behavior will help him in that, partly, at least. Also, at some point he'll reach his hand out to her (and by that time he would have wholly drilled Sai into thinking that she is his responsibility) and expect her to cross the diatance between them. But, she'll not.

PPL going overdrive will certainly make him think twice and clarify with Sai. Hopefully the distance is not so vast that it needs a bridge to be built again..
