Part - 16

The drama continues at KC....

Geet keeps answering Maan in writing...

Maan thinks that it's just another fun game of hers...

But Geet is looking pretty serious and keeps staring at him on and off....

This goes on till lunch....

Geet has lunch with Maan as Dadi sends them lunch from home...

Maan deliberately keeps her waiting for lunch thinking that Geet would come and call him after losing patience ....

Geet waits for more than half an hour and is very hungry...

She keeps looking at Maan who is looking only down at the files...

Geet gets up and goes to his desk so that he would see her and ask her what's the matter...

But Maan is not looking at her at all...

Geet waits there for a couple of minutes and goes back to the couch and opens the lunch box to have a loon at the items...

It's her favourite aloo paratha with achaar....

Geet is salivating and she could start eating her parathas for Maan only has his own eggs and broccoli quinoa along with avocado sandwich seperately packed for him...

But she can't have lunch leaving him, he won't do that ever...

Geet could take the ghee drenched parathas to him and tempt him with the aroma of the desi ghee raosted parathas, but Maan is immune to any kind of temptations...

Maybe there is some defect in all his systems....

Geet then takes out the plate and laddle and starts banging the laddle on the plate to get Maan's attention...

Maman had to respond this time immediately for the fear of unwanted embarrassment at his own office...

Maan gets up and joins Geet...

Geet gives the plate to him with his diet food and she strarts eating her parathas....

Maan: Geet, your parathas look more delicious, it should be very tasty

Geet looks at him surprised...

Maan takes out a piece of paratha from her plate hoping that she would say something to stop him...

Geet is like Joey, she never shares her food, that too she has got only three parathas....

Maan: this is good

Maan extends his hand to take another piece when Geet tries to pull the plate away from him...

Maan: I think we should swap our plates today

Geet stares him... She is not giving her parathas in exchange for that tasteless quinoa..

Maan: it's ok Geet, you can have your parathas, just let me taste that achaar, how do you eat such spicy achar?

Geet let's him have just another piece along with achaar...

Maan eats that and the achar is too hot for him... He literally chokes and starts coughing....

Geet gets up and gives him water to drink while she tries to ease him to swallow by running her fingers down his chest...

Maan likes her caring for him....

Geet: why would you eat this? Sometimes you just behave like a kid

Geet finally talks....

Maan smiles... : There is only one kid in this cabin Geet, and you know who that is

Geet: yes, it's MSK the great

Maan: is it? Or the one who is playing the silence game with me?

Geet now realises that she has spoken to Maan...

Geet: it's not fair, you cheated

Maan: I didn't

Geet: why would you eat my paratha then?

Maan::why? Can't I have your paratha once?

Geet: ohh you can, but I can't have your khasboos rabbit food even if I am starving to death

Maan: are you starving?

Geet: why do you care to ask that? You didn't spare my paratha na?

Maan: I barely had half a paratha Geet

Geet: but that was mine

Maan: it's OK, we'll go out and have a dessert

Geet: kulfi?

Maan: kulfi?

Geet: haan, there's a very good kulfi shop down the road

Pinky has informed Geet about all the eateries nearby...

Maan: how would you know?

Geet: I know everything

Maan: that doesn't mean you are smarter Geet

Geet: are you going to get me kulfi or are you going to keep arguing with me?

Maan: let me get the keys

Geet: you won't need them, let's go by walk

Maan: what?

Geet: it's just around the corner, you can reach it even before you could take the car out of the parking lot

Maan: but Geet

Geet: MSK can walk, it's not such a big deal

It's a big deal Geet, Maan walking alongside his wife on the streets of his office....

But Maan has no other option...

Maan follows Geet quietly and that proves who is the boss of this relationship....

Maan keeps looking around for running into any of his employees...

The security runs after Maan... : Can I get the car sir?

Maan turns back and stares him when he goes back to his room...

Geet is searching for the shop and finds it.... She is happy that she found it...

Geet: there it is

Geet walks straight to the shop not looking at the speeding car coming on to her...

Maan pulls her back on time and saves her ....

Maan: Geet, are you alright?

Geet almost escaped from her death...

Geet turns pale in fear...

Maan: it's ok Geet, you are safe

Geet clings tight to him in fear....

Maan hugs her to comfort her....

Geet: I'm sorry, I didn't see the car coming

Maan: you should have been more careful Geet, what if I was not here? It's all my fault, I shouldn't have let you walk like this on a busy road

Maan readily takes the blame on himself....

Maan calls the driver and asks him to get the car soon...

The driver comes and Maan drives her back to KC...

Maan walks close behind her as she enters the lift...

Maan helps her get in and walks her to the cabin safely...

Maan makes her sit and gives her water for drinking...

Geet relaxes a bit after drinking water...

Maan: Geet, you take a deep breath, it's all good, I'm right here with you

Maan takes her hands and holds them in his hands....

Maan: Geet, how are you feeling?

Geet: I'm good

The driver comes with the kulfi...

There's all the flavours...

Geet looks at them and wonders what should they do with all that...

Geet: for me?

Maan aks the driver to keep it on the table...

The driver leaves....

Geet has forgotten about the kulfi...

Maan: you wanted it na?

Geet: but how would I eat all this?

Maan : I didn't know which one is your favourite

Geet is pleasantly surprised....

Geet picks two of them... Mango and kesar kulfi...

She has two in two hands and can't unwrap them...

Maan takes one from her hand, unwraps it and gives it back to her..

He then gets the other and waits for her to finish the first one...

Geet: you have it

Maan: you first eat whatever you want, I don't eat kulfi

Geet: you don't eat kulfi? Then you should try first

Geet gives it to him and asks him to try...

Maan takes a bite and likes it...

Maan: it's good

Geet: I know you will like it

Maan eats kulfi with Geet...

Geet gives some to Pinky and Adi and saves the rest in the fridge...

Next day it's lunch time and Nakul has forgotten to send the lunch...

Geet comes out to look for the lunch box and finds out that lunch has not come...

She is happy to try out that Chinese place Pinky told...

She gets ready to go out with Pinky when Maan comes in search of her...

Maan: Geet, where are you going?

Geet then remembers Maan...

Geet: Maan sir, lunch has not arrived, you have to go out and have your lunch

Maan had planned to take Geet out for lunch and so he called dadi to inform that they are going out for lunch..

That's why Nakul didn't send lunch for them...

Maan: what about you?

Geet: I'm going out with Pinky

Maan is disappointed...

Geet leaves and Maan goes back to his cabin not wanting to eat alone...

Adi who is present there understands Maan's unhappiness...

Maan calls Adi and asks him to stop the girls...

Adi calls Pinky and ask them to come back...

Geet comes back and goes to meet Maan...

Maan is trying to get some work done instead...

But he can't concentrate... He is only thinking about the missed lunch with Geet...
