Suprabhat Sisterhood!

23 minutes of Chakram niwasis in their wrestling ring 😨 please keep coffee handy!

But majja yeil trust me.

Kitne zor ka jhaapad tha? Kiske mooh par pada jhaapad sabse jyada loud tha? Ninad? Bhavani? Sonali ya Patralekha Didi?

Please, aap bhi is sawaal Ka jawab zaroor dena 😅 then we can tally scores.

Let's see one jhaapad at a time:

I am beginning with a powerful jhaapad given by Sai ( she also ended up giving a kaanapatti to Virat, free mein. But chalta hai😄)

Her haq se demand Kiya hua answer: "Sach sach batana, kya Aapne mujhse Shaadi Taras khaa Kar ki?"

Virat makes the right choice of the word: zimmedari. 😅 Ab in the privacy of the bedroom last night you have already explained that your dictionary says "parivaar Ka MATLAB hi zimmedari hota hai"😅 baap re ye algebra type problems me value of 'y' find Karna is so complicated (we already know the value of 'x'😂😂 sorry for the lame one 🙊)

I LOVED this moment where Sai drew the line for the Chakram family and made it clear that there should be no more crossing the line regarding this part of their marriage. 😎 It is between the two of them. "Aaj ke baad koi Nahi kahega ki Virat sir ne mujhse Taras kha Kar shaadi ki." And Virat backing it with 'bakwaas Nahi hai'... Neet samajhla na Kaku, Ninad, Didi (thank God that repulsive Omkar didn't have dialogues today 🥴)

Some boundaries have to be drawn by the husband and wife if there is so much "expectation" from the Bahu. This is the first one. Abhi toh there are many more boundaries that the uncouth lot has to come around to following.

****

Eyes do talk:

The face off between PP and Virat-Sai has left her completely unmasked. I don't think I will be happy if Virat makes another attempt to 'cajole' her as a friend. There is no scope any more. In her enthusiasm to look like the Susheel bahu, Toxic Didi cut such a sorry figure if herself in front of his eyes -- it gave me also a slight feel of the fact that she's not aiming to be hidden anymore but I still feel it was more out of her desperation to demean Sai. She does not want to miss any opportunity and what could be a bigger bus than Sai's cherished dream.

Brings me to wonder what meaning did her silent prayer have when she said "Thank you Bappa, ab issue jaldi as doctor banao aur Virat ki Zindagi aur is Ghar se door Karo". And followed by a smile-laced "Congratulations Sai".

Within a day, she has taken a massive U-turn, speaking about Sai's 'khudgarzi' and lack of 'parvah' for the Chakram family. Is she being diabolical? Does she silently want Sai to become a doctor but not want to show her support in the open?

The answer now, to me, seems "No".

She has actually changed her mind. And the change of her decision comes from her 'realisation' that Sai will anyway not leave the house or Virat's life. A woman's instinct -- and then a woman's obsession, which is technically called 'morbid jealousy' or 'Othello syndrome' in her case -- is sharp (morbid jealousy is a stage of obsession or depression where a partner imagines and assumes that the other has cheated upon him/her even though it might be completely untrue and lack even basic circumstantial evidence). She now has a grouse with Virat, not actually with Sai. The candy floss and balloons, which were a source of delight for Sai, have ended up being a scalpel to her 'wounded' heart. In her illusionary world, she is married to Virat -- thanks to that moronic, ambiguous vaada, which became more significant to her than the Saptapadi with Samrat -- and so, now, it is Virat, who she wants to avenge.

Eyes do the talking and in those moments after Sai's results were declared, PP has soaked in all the eye communication between Virat and Sai as well as Virat with her. While the eye communication with Sai or about Sai beamed with pride, affection, love, oneness and an unbreakable bond, with PP the only looks he could give out was of surprise, disconnect, disgust and finally indifference.

Virat choosing to see 'Sai ki nazar se' when he couldn't muster the courage to see through her point of view even for the biggest decision of her life is a thought that has pushed her to experiencing Othello's syndrome.

In her 'main Ghar chhodhh Kar gayi par wapas as gayi' she drove another important point home for Virat. In the look that Virat gave her, it appeared as if he was almost surprised at the 'blatant lies' of the care she claimed to have for the family jissse 'rishtay khatam karke' she was licking her 'beizzati' until Sai apologised.

Oh and Sai, my dewdrop, THANK YOU for reminding this Toxic Didi that your promise to keep distance from her doesn't include her intrusion into your space. 😎😄 ❤️

****

Breaking the chain:

"Ek aabhal dhagaala, tyala rudi cha ital, majhya laak sajna, hi kadakachi Tod maal Tu" (There is an independent cloud in the open sky, bound in the shackles of rigid traditions. Oh my beloved, it's only you who can break this circle of repression) ❤️❤️

In Virat's "niyam aaj hi todne honge" was a conviction, not a request. It was almost as if Virat, by default, has taken the baton in his hand for the years to come and already bent the rules. Bhavanidevi, how was it?😀 Aap ko kya laga, you will scatter marksheets and get away with it? Chavan saheb, last me hi jhaapad mara karte Hain thaane me 😂 aapko toh pata bhi Nahi Chala.

"Toh ye bhi bata do, ki niyam sirf Tumhari Sai ke liye badle Hain ya sabke liye?" Ouch, it hurt na PP. I genuinely understand for once. This is the same man who told you, "Mere liye Mera parivaar Sab Kuch hai.. main apni family ke against Nahin jaa Sakta". He did not have the conviction to stand up and hold your hand when you wanted him to, despite being in 'love'. But he can, for this girl, who should mean nothing to him when you are standing at an arm's length and breathing the same air as him, hai na? But ek difference hai Toxic Didi. Wo bhi Virat ne hi bol Diya hai -- "ye zaroori toh Nahi ki har insaan ki Soch aur Faisla ek jaisa ho... Yahan tumhare aur Sai ke beech competition Nahi ho Raha hai."

Faisla - decision - was YOURS. To marry Samrat despite the conditions you did not believe in. You had no courage or will to fight your own battle. Don't thrust it upon anyone else. And what can be the parameter for your competition with Sai? Beauty? It's skin deep. Because for Virat, Sai's courage to fight her battles and yet radiate the kind of warmth that her heart holds, is a matter of extreme pride.

But it once again HIGHLIGHTS the one quality about Virat that actually summarises his entire character. The quality of picking his battles and doing it with utmost resolve. I haven't seen him wavering for ANYTHING once he has decided. There is no need for superfluous words, no screaming matches and definitely no backing off for anyone. Also, I LOVE how there is never this air of threat - theek hai, hum Ghar se chale jaate Hain.... It's more like, 'nanachi taang, this is as much my house as yours and I am going to make my decision and stay here with you" 😂

a) be it his decision to marry Sai. He went through all the rituals with all his sincerity.

b) the rock that he was despite breaking within in the crust during the gruh pravesh

c) declaring his verdict on Sai's new name

And

d) Of course today: There was just one straight question to Kaku ( Sai, Chavan saheb Ko spashth questions bhi poochne aate Hain, make note. 😄) : Zara batayengi Sai Kyun medical college mein admission Nahi le Sakti?

It was a logical question and needed only a logical answer, not assault and battery at their marriage and Sai's capabilities. Since there was no logical answer, there was no need for any "behes". The decision had already been made. I LOVED how he just held Sai by her arm to escort her out of the house after Devyani spoke the wisest words of them all. (Tai, you are more normal than the others) But then, he decided to spell out his final word, in the mildest tone and the politest words, holding Bhavani's hand like a gentleman - the rules need to be broken and I am breaking it right now.

This guy, he knows he is the chaheeta beta (not that he is truly loved, but in the sense of possession). He has actually never sought permission and been so confident about having his way -- kisne bola ki he couldn't have married his 'true love' if he wished to? 😄

Two shining moments:

1. Ashwini's pain: So we know that at least one of the reasons for Ashwini's pain is the way her dreams and identity were crushed. But it is also a very telling scene. Virat, I hope you are watching what a wife's disillusionment in a loveless marriage can do to a woman. It should be a peek into your future if you still believe that this dewdrop will be able to move on from you or this marriage after ALL that she is going through for the 'deal'. Look at your mother -- the reasons possibly are different but she's spent her life yearning for her husband's love. I am sure you will hear from your Aai soon.

Your "Ek din wo bhi acchi Bahu ban jayegi" was on point. We got your message. Acchi Bahu is a concept in the eyes of the beholder. But I don't think the Chakram niwasis understood your point because they do not know that you have acknowledged to Sai that it is her 'sehen karna' that you value.

His flying kiss to Aai -- second time in the series after the initial episode-- is symbolic. It does mean that he has know about his mother's pain all along but he can now experience it because he is living through Sai's experiences as his own.

Ninad, do you know you were the ONLY one who your son dreamt of when he needed guiding light on his path. How will he ever see you as the same star again? 💔 I'm so sorry for your loss, Virat. Take heart 🥺

Oh and Sai, thank you for shutting up that dishonourable husband of Ashwini's and in front of your husband. You are my rockstar, dewdrop. ❤️😎❤️

2. Devyani's wisdom:

The entire interaction tugged so many heart strings. The pure love between the three of them and Devyani's understanding of situations and her instinct for people is supreme. The moment where an overwhelmed Virat finally gulps down the insult that the family has just handed out to Sai (and him) -- and Sai noticing how much it has hurt him despite putting up a brave front. It was also the sudden acknowledgment that none in that room deserved to be idols, except two most misunderstood women -- Ashwini and Devyani. Vicarious love is not just happy moments -- one also experiences the pain and anguish of the one you are vicariously living through.

"Ye bhi college jaake Viru ki Tarah police wali banegi?"

Awww DeviTai, tumhi kitiiiiii godd aahat, kitiii nirmal!

The pride, which suddenly comes back and he says, "Nahi Tai, Sai doctor banegi"

It was the smack on the faces of those repulsive Chakram niwasis, who celebrated the vile moment when Bhavani flung the marksheets into the air.

Although I don't think they deserved it because your struggle has only begun, Sai, I love you more for going back and touching the feet of those uncouth Chakram niwasis. It must be enough ishaara to the samajdaars about who has more 'parvah' for the parivaar and will not actually think of huffing out with suitcases for petty reasons. But actually, itni parvah Karo hi mat -- you only need one person's aashirwad from that lot. Aai. And you already have Aaba's aashirwad with you. Baaki toh, aapke side me jo khada hai, uski aankhon me padh lena, my sunshine 😍. He's the cloud that will bring colour to your sunset. He is no longer executing any deal, he is on an indefeasible duty for you. The verdict is pronounced.

Have a lovely, lovely day! ❤️

As we approach the year end, sending prayers to all of you, who have a wish for the new year coming up. May it replenish all that you may have lost 💞

And of course hugs ke saath coffee ☕☕☕ free!

Love you all💓 🤗🤗

Great post as usual.

One thing that Virat probably missed was when Sai said I know the reason why you didn't want to marry and looked at Pakhi, but didn't understand her.

Pakhi was happy to hear that he didn't want to marry Sai. But she should realize the lengths he can go if he really want to get anything done. So, though it would have been difficult to convince his family, he could have married Pakhi if he truly wanted.

I liked how Ashwini shut her down saying if Sais husband and mil don't have a problem, why are you still talking 😆.

Also was wondering why the chavan seniors except Bhavani Kaku got emotional seeing Sai-Devi hug in the end. Do they really care for Devi?

I am glad that virat and Sai left happily instead of being sad after the family drama.

Sometimes I feel Chavan Khandan ka motto is raat gayi, baat gayi. Let's see how much of today they will remember...

Wonderfully written. He was so calm and stern in his decision that nothing can hold them back. So cute and amazing. Sai drew a boundary fir her marriage w Virat was a good thing. She really respects it and treats it like a marriage and wants to stay married despite saying I will leave you after marriage

Hi Janaki...I couldn't quote the points you mentioned in ur post so that's why I am replying...the a,b,c points you mentioned regarding decision to marry Sai...gruha pravesh point... name changing point..here,

I also get reminded of the scene where Kamal Joshi sir's health in deteorating in the hospital(first blow for Virat as he sees his guru go down with the bullet meant for him) virat is speaking to Pakhi and he recieves news about Samrat missing in action(second blow for him as he is very close to his Jiva) and he breaks down emotionally. But he reconciles himself for his immediate kartavya or zimmedari for that matter to stand like a rock for Sai and to be a constant support to her...

This is all about the character of Virat where he takes his challenges and difficulties head on....

Today’s epi was as satisfactory as it was emotional. I love all the thappads from SaiRat to be honest, special mention to those where Virat let Sai do the talking and then agreed to whatever she said. His agreement was like rubbing mirchi on their scars. I have a lot of favorite moments from this episode, but on the top is definitely Sai clearing the air about their marriage. The ‘taras/pity’ jaap was getting over their head, and I am glad that Virat cleared his stance and then agreed with his biwi (Even if I believe him on that, it's not like Sai gave him another choice😆). When Sai said she would not tolerate anyone questioning the basis of their marriage, did you notice how proudly Virat was looking at her?

I think Pakhi’s changed stance is mostly because she witnessed the candy floss episode, as well as that late night miss-me-holding hand part. If she was deluded before, she is in the clear now, that even if Sai becomes a doctor, Virat has gone far beyond the point where he's ready to let her go.

Thank you for pointing about the Othello Syndrome. Freud tells you that while jealousy is normal, there are also instances of abnormally intense jealousy which is constructed in 3 layers:

Competitive - Made up of a feeling of grief, the pain at the thought of losing a loved object (the object which ‘loved’ her and made her feel imp.) to a successful rival. Virat is for her, but an object. She has already made up her mind that Sai ‘stole’ him from her and has assumed Sai to be her competitor from day one. Today is the second time when Virat asked her to stop comparing herself with Sai. To me her jealousy at this stage seems to deprive her of any common sense. Agreed she left her career for this family, but at the end of the day, that was her choice. She chose to leave her career to marry into this family, be it for status, money, or Virat. In contrast, Sai’s reason for marrying was so that he`d help her become a doctor. When her very marriage is based on that, did they really think she was going to back down. If so, stupid, stupid of them!

Projection jealousy - we talked about this earlier, but this stems from her own desire to be unfaithful to her husband and since those impulses were repressed through SaiRat`s marriage, she is projecting the fact that Virat has been unfaithful to her.

The third - delusional jealousy - you’ve covered all the points on that. I just want to add that in this stage, people are very dangerous. Pakhi lurks in every category.

I am happy that Sai has Virat standing for her (not that she needs it), but my heart pains for Ashwini. Sigh. It pains me to see her, with her broken voice, yet providing Sai with the wings to fly. She is such a great support system. And I so loved when Sai stood up for her. The scene with Devi was such a nice touch on emotions. Shivani, the fact checker nailed her part as well.

And Sai has really come a long way from not mincing her words to her being on point with her words today. They’ve been attacking her for being badtameez, she just showed them their faces in the mirror today, and boy, was it ugly. No wonder Sonali was so incensed.

When I finished the epi, the only thought that I had was yeh log kitne pagal hain, totally beyond help. Ab bhagwan hi inka kuch karein.

Oh and btw, when biwi said that she would not mind moving to a hostel if she had to, Virat agreed, he definitely knows how his family functions now (ghar ki izzat and all). Waise what would you do, Mr. Chavan, should they allow her to leave for the hostel.

Special thanks to the proud husband that Mr. Chavan was today.

As usual amazing analysis.

@Bold I am digressing a bit. I have felt that Pakhi's focus is Sai (the competitor). She feels that if she gets rid of Sai, Virat will be hers ( "Ye zaldise doctor banake Viratki zindagise chali jaye").Hence she focuses all her energy in putting her down in front of the family and Virat.

Wheras Sai's focus is Virat (for whatever attention she wants from him) with no Pakhi in the picture untill and unless she intrudes too much into her space.

The difference in focus seems to be working!
