Virat's eyes and expressions, as always, give a way into his heart. Today he showcased utter shock at his family's (namely Kaku and Ninad's) regressive mindset, firm resolution to stand by his wife and mother, pure disgust and contempt for PP's nonsense, and unabashed love and sympathy for his Devi Tai. The showstealer moment was when he had tears pooling in his eyes for his wife. Of course, Neil Bhatt is a phenomenal actor who has brought Virat Chavan to life. Special mention to Ayesha Singh as well. Sai's expressions were also on point such that she and Virat mirrored each other. While Virat's heart bled at the taunts being thrown to Sai, Sai's heart hurt at the accusations thrown at Virat. They felt the other's pain more than their own.
Their scene with Devyani tugged at my heart strings: Devi's innocent desire to become "normal" again and SaiRat's tears of empathy.
Sai hit the nail on the head with her dialogues to Ninad. He expects her to stay silent and speak respectfully but he himself spews venom towards Ashwini every time he opens his mouth. Thank you Sai, for bringing up the hypocrisy of this man.
My heart went out to Virat today when he held Bhavani's hand today and tried to get her to change her opinions and the "rules" of the house. He was still reeling in from the shock he got at how his mother was made to leave her education. But he somehow composed himself and attempted to salvage as much compassion as he could thinking that maybe his Kaku was just stuck in old times. Change is the only constant in the world and it was time she embraced it rather than get crushed by it. Virat is definitely changing into a more vocal opposer of injustice but we still see vestiges of his people-pleaser attitude sometimes. However, he now does not let his need to maintain peace in the house to overwhelm his sense of right and wrong.
For many of the latest episodes, I have been observing Virat lose his patience with PP. Every time she spoke, his eyes closed and he sighed in utter disapproval. Today he finally verbalized this by saying neither does he have the time/energy to argue with her, nor would it make a difference. Pakhi didi, please realize where your position in Virat's life has degraded to and get a hold of yourself.
Overall the episode was very heavy with drama, but SaiRat's unwavering support for each other was what kept me gripped to the screen. These two are each other's rock. The highlight of the episode was the end though: Sai ran back into the house and touched everyone's feet and ran back out laughing with the satisfaction of getting everyone's blessings. Virat's beaming smile was the cherry on top. I cannot comprehend how Sai can manage to stay positive and still respect these people after everything that transpired in that room. She just radiates positivity and love. ACP Saheb, you better protect and cherish this treasure of a person that your wife is.
Tbh, the Chakram nivasis accuse her of being disrespectful and not having "sanskaar." But her firm resolve to get these people's blessings regardless of whether they deserve it or not, speaks otherwise. You amaze me, pure dewdrop.
