Great post againā¤ļø
Thank you š¤ I just loved that Greek mythology post you made the other day. I remembered later that had even mentioned it in the original post that vanished
Waise, you mentioned some blood sucking colleague? Toxic Didi hai ya toxic bhaiyya?š
Itās grey here and cloudy, and hot and humid, and Iām having a hot chocolate to calm my splitting headache - Itās despicable and I am miserable because of this weather.š
Oh dear! Even winter can cause migraines. Don't ask. I have the same issues. Hope you are better now š¤
When the minions were cornering Virat, I was reminded of Lord Krishnaās counsel to Arjuna when he was despondent and refused to fight, and perform his duty as a warrior. Virat was facing the same dilemma today; on one path were those people who he has perhaps venerated his entire life, his āidolsāā and on the other path, a person to whom he is bound by duty, responsibility (and encompassing both, and more important, by marriage). And he did not disappoint me today, the way he raised his voice shows me that the process of being disillusioned with that family has already begun.
Oh wow! š Yes, it's going to be such a dharam Sankat for him. It's going to be painful for sure. The only solace would possibly be that he stood for the right. That is what happens in most wars anyway, doesn't it? I do believe that Virat is someone who wasn't entirely enchanted by his family and knew the issues at the surface level, evidently from the initial episodes but being at the receiving end always gives one a clearer perspective. His disillusion began right from the moment of the gruh pravesh -- that was a shameful one.
Like you mentioned, Ninad wants to live āvicariouslyā through Virat. Weāve been told that his fellow comrade took a bullet for him - there was guilt and shame and the sense of a broken dream when he recounted that anecdote to Virat while he was going to GC on his first posting. And he gave Virat a memorabilia that day - a bullet, if I remember correctly- that token was not given just for the sake of it, in a way he was passing away the responsibility/duty to Virat to redeem his own broken dream. For him, Viratās achievements would have healed the old scars that still hurt his conscience. What Ninad does not realise is that, everyone is here to fulfill THEIR OWN purpose of existence. Viratās inner self and every fibre of his being, has, after reflection, denial, and acceptance, already determined what his duty is. And this duty overpowers any other duty that has been imposed on him - because this one is performed without any expectations in return.
Yes, you are right it was a bullet. The one that would have killed him. And he told Virat not to allow the same slip up to happen. But I guess even Virat couldn't stop such a tragedy. What matters is the conduct after it happened. Of course, Virat has chosen his purpose. And he will also receive a reward for being honest and committed to that purpose. He will have Sai as his reward and he knows it. The difference between living vicariously and wanting to live vicariously is very slim. When you live vicariously through someone -- in this case Virat through Sai, you do it unconsciously without 'wanting' it. It just happens at the soul level that you share the happiness, sorrows, aspirations, victories of this one person as your own. But when you 'want' to live vicariously, you invariably end up pushing your expectations on to the other person, which is not actually living vicariously unless you can go with the nature and accept what comes -- like Ashwini. She also wants to live vicariously through Sai but she has no expectation. She is ready to live one moment at a time, basking unconditionally in Sai's achievements and wishing that her son finds a loving companion in Sai.
While Ninadās behaviour is comprehensible (I am not saying logical! I just mean that I understand how he is functioning), I cannot understand the character of Omi at all. Is it because his son is an artist that he is going so harsh on Virat so that he will obtain the validation of the leader of minions or there is some deferred dream here as well.
Yes Omi and Sonali ( they are one and alike) are trying their best to use opportunities to make their unworthy son look like a deserving candidate to be counted as a Chavan son in the first place. If you see the reference is always to "dono bete" - Samrat and Virat. I think by emphasising on how Virat has failed the family's expectations they are driving home the point for their own vested interests. Sonali also does her best in pushing karishma on the other side of the coveted line that defines Susheel bahus. But unfortunately the younger couple Mohit and Karishma are too moronic to take the opportunities in the right way.
I think Pakhi has already understood how important money is for Bhavani and she will be using this weakness to her own advantage, time and again. Since she knows now that she has one over the minions gangs, watch her grow her wings.
I noticed the gleam in her eyes when she went to Bhavani to talk about Sai's admission on the pretext of the letter. She KNEW Bhavani would order Virat -- something that PP can't do on her own anymore because she is aware that the line of respect has been breached and there is awkwardness between Virat and her. But the moment Bhavani spoke about Sai's admission in a contemptuous way, I noticed a smile in PP's eyes. Still, she's too caricature-ish for me. I would rather have a villain, who I can sympathise with at some level. What is her motivation to turn vamp? Her own figment of imagination of what love should have been?
Tsk Tsk why are you disappointed in Chavan saheb, he was ready on time, it's his biwi that took so much time, uper se he did not know that he would lose so much time staring, so spare him. It happens to the best of us.š (Vaise, planning kamal ki thi, ek din mein breakfast date and lunch date, bas he forgot how kanjoos his family is, for they feed on taunts only)
Actually, I agree. Chavan saheb was so excited that he was ready before the Baiko and pacing up and down until he froze š Waise, do you think Sai ignored his mesmerised look on purpose or was she too excited about going to get her admissions done that she didn't notice? But my disappointment in Chavan saheb was that he DID NOT anticipate the drama about revealing their actual plan: Lunch (As jali bhuni PP said when he mentioned that they were not going to picnic š¤£). People in that house HATE anyone trying to eat food. Itna toh usko pata Hona Chahiye tha. Ab Nadi wali baat nahi batayi toh breakfast and lunch batana zaroori tha kya?š oh but credit where it's due: I LOVED how he was walking out of that drama with Sai TWICE and not wanting to indulge in them at that point.
You said it, the reason for their objections is so shallow, it's a matter of ego for the minions and jealousy for Toxic did (uski sui to lunch p atki thiš¤”š¤£). They aren't able to digest the fact that their son is grown up, married and does not need to take their permission to go out.
It left me unhappy that they are so unimaginative about their actual reason for the opposition. This is like zabran kadi maarni hai. If you ask, it's not even as much of a dharam Sankat as it would have been if it had really been about Ghar ki parampara
