When in love.
Asad Ahmed Khan is the one person who despises everything associated with romantic love. He has seen his Ammi suffer and his father deceive not one but two women while he was nothing but a kid. He has suffered a broken heart along with his Ammi too. He doesn't want to love, doesn't need it in his peaceful life that he has created with with his own sweat and blood. And after all ishq waqt zaya karne ka zariya hai. Inki duniya Ishq se bhi haseen hai.
Enter who he likes to call a Musibat Magnet, and his Ammi likes to call a 'Bechari' (which she's NOT), and his life is never the same again.
Zoya comes into his life and stands for everything he has decided to hate, to shy away from, to protect himself and to protect his heart from any further wreckage.
But actually, he believes he would be just like the man who calls himself his father, and hurt her beyond what he can bare. So he denies his heart, denies hers, and ultimately denies what the universe was conspiring for.
And isn't that the saying? The more you deny, the more truth you have to say.
While playing the game of denial, he completely accepts his love to himself and therefore to all. Isn't love supposed to be visible? Even when not said? His was. His love was confessed in his anger, in his care, in his nervousness, in his gifts when he wants to apologise for that anger, in the way he tells her she's the most beautiful girl ever, even with her flaws. And she realises this too.
On this beautiful eve of their new life together (which we never got to see. Cries.) They say everything without even letting the word 'love' pass between them.
"Jab aap muskurati hain, yeh jahaan aur khubsurat ho jaata hai."
"Aap khud toh khaamosh rehte hain, lekin aapki aankhein bohot kuch kehti hain."
And that's enough. That's done. Their love is said. Their hearts are in sync.
And Asad, without having to say a word, is on the verge of getting everything he desparately wants.
How beautiful is that?
Though we never get to see the aftermath, I still love this scene. The raw emotion on Karan's face gets me everytime. The way he looks at the camera. He's not even facing her, but the intensity is beyond comparison. It's as if he's got everything he wants already. It's as if he is in love and it's already fulfilled.
Karan's characters in love are such a delight to write ❤️ I can go on and on. ❤️
lovely post his eyes speak volume you dont need anything to say
