Chapter 22
“In the first flush of romantic love, we’re all blind.
We see only what we want to see.”
Both Ishani and Vansh were lost in the words said by Vansh. Kailash enters the room and looks at Ishani. He touches her cheek where he slapped her earlier and says,
"I'm sorry Ishu."
Ishani hugs Kailash and says,
"I'm sorry, too."
Kailash takes a moment and says,
"If one makes a mistake, then an apology is usually sufficient to get things back on an even keel. However-and this is a big ‘however’- most people do not even know why their apology did not seem to have any effect. It is simply that they did not make a mistake; they made a choice and never understood the difference between the two."
He continues
"I know you Ishani, you’re not sorry. You’re just mainly awkward ’cause I have sprung some cancer talk at you."
Ishani: I'm sorry, I meant no disrespect.
Kailash: And yet, I feel disrespected!
Ishani: What should I do then?
Kailash sighs while putting his hands on her two shoulders,
"Say sorry to both Ridhima and Ragini. Also, I don't want any more such incidents happening in this house. If ever it happened, I don't want you to stand as a culprit"
saying so he gives a pat on Ishani's head and leaves while leaving Ishani more distressed about the whole issue.
Vansh reaches to Ishani, puts his hand over her shoulder, and says,
"No matter how much Ragini damaged me, no matter how flawed Ridhima is. I know both of them had loved me enough”,
by side hugging Ishani and locking his eyes with her Vansh continues,
"So, on that basis, go and say Sorry. I'm sure they both will forgive you."
Ishani sighs and replies,
"I will try."
Vansh smiles at her childishness and takes her in his arms with brotherly love and care flowing from him.

Along with Vansh, Angre, Aryan was also are busy with the new construction project while Kailash is organizing some files regarding the project. Kailash passes on the files to Rudra,
"Bhai, get the signatures of Vansh on these files so that I can start on the field project of the construction of this mini-estate."
While taking the files from Kailash's hands, Rudra drops down the files from his hands accidentally resulting in papers scattering everywhere around the room. Kailash sighs and rearranges the papers and passes them to Rudra reminding him again of the signatures.
Rudra reaches to the office room and handovers the files to Vansh,
"Kailash wants to get the signatures on these files by tonight. So once you check them, do sign on them."
Vansh takes the files from Rudra and without noticing anything, he goes on signing the papers shocking Rudra and Aryan. Vansh understands their emotions and says,
"When I decided to give a chance, I'm giving it whole-heartedly."
Rudra and Aryan felt happy for the respect they are receiving from the Vansh and gets into the work mode while Rudra leaves files with a smirk on his face.

Late at night Vansh has completed his work finally and was walking towards his room and notices Ridhima sitting all alone in the garden and enjoying the cool breeze.
"This girl doesn't care about her health. How come in such cool weather she can sit like that?" thinks Vansh
He goes to the room and picks the shawl to cover Ridhima with it. However, Ragini intervenes him take him to the terrace. Vansh stops Ragini,
"Ragini, wait. Let me give this to Ridhima and then will talk."
Ragini stops him,
"Ridhima? You're caring for her right now?"
Vansh smirks and pulls her towards him. While holding her waist with one hand while having the shawl in the other,
"Wait, I can smell something is burning over here?"
Ragini hits him on his chest,
"No, I'm not jealous."
Vansh brings her more closer,
"Who said you're jealous?"
he smirks which makes Ragini blush more.
Vansh brings her more closer to kiss her but Ragini turns her head away from him while hugging him. Vansh drops down the shawl and hugs her back with a smile on his face.
The whole romance is witnessed by Sia along with Sejal and Ridhima who had moved away from the place. Sia holds Ridhima's hands,
"I'm sorry, bhabi."
Ridhima takes a moment
"Sia, don't be sorry for anything. I'm glad that Vansh had taken a wise decision. If he would have not chosen what he wants, today three lives would have been in despair. So, I'm glad that he has taken the choice"
she says with a glint of sadness and a smile on her lips.
Ragini drags Vansh towards the swing while keeping her head on his chest and hugs him. Vansh feels content and closes his eyes with a smile lingering around his lips.
Ragini lifts her head and sees him smiling,
"Lost in my thoughts,"
she asks
Vansh smiles with eyes closed
"No, In business things"
Ragini snaps and turns away from him while he drags her closer to him
"Of course darling, thinking about you"
Ragini smiles back
"Vansh, I want to know one thing from you and I hope you give me a straight answer."
Vansh can see the seriousness in her words,
"Anything for you, Ragini,"
he says
"Why did you marry Ridhima and for three years why you didn't identify who is the person who tried to kill me?
she questions
Vansh feel distressed with the question while locking his eyes with her, he says
"Then, you tell me who is the one who has killed my mother?"
"That day I told you I know but in reality, I don't know Vansh. I used to get these random calls saying they know who had killed your mother"
Ragini lies covering with fake tears.
Vansh hugs her back,
"I'm trying to know the truth Ragini. Give me some more time. I will make sure to punish the people who have hurt you and maa."
Ragini shed more tears saying,
"Vansh, are you in any way part of Mafia work?"
she asks
Vansh says,
"No, I am in no way involved in any criminal activities Ragini. You should stop trusting everything Kabir sprouts from his mouth about me. You should know better by now. "
Ragini locks her eyes with him,
"Then why everyone in the family and outside of the family talks like you is some hardcore dangerous criminal also what about that Rane did you really killed him? It's not just me Vansh even Riddhima who loved to bits couldn't come to trust you completely because everyone around here including you gives just that kind of impression. In your words, if someone betrays Vansh Rai Singhania death is the only punishment for them and Rane did betray you."
Vansh smiles and says
"Yes, I did kill him along with everyone who had ever betrayed me."
then continues with a smirk and says shocking Ragini
"Though what makes you think that they are dead literally? There are other ways to kill people one does not needs to murder someone literally to kill them. For starters, one can kill their very will to live. Now that my dear that life is way worse than death itself.
Vansh said with a devilish glint in his eyes and menace then snapping out he smiles and kisses her forehead.
Ragini hugs him back though a little rattled,
"I'm so happy Vansh that you are not associated with Mafia anyway. However, I hope the past doesn't catch up and in the hands of some inspector. Even if you haven't killed anyone yet for whatever you have done to them they might come after you for revenge"
Vansh smiles and understands who she is speaking about the very infamous Inspector Kabir and feeling happy that Ragini is finally worrying for him,
"Ragini, darling, don't worry. None can harm me. I'm a master of my game, and all those people along with Rane are in a very special place their own little hell on earth. You the place where...?"
Ragini's eyes widened in realization and she hugs him back then lifting her head, says
"Shall we go down, I can feel the cold temperature has risen."
Vansh smirks,
"Weren't you the one who asked for this?"
Ragini says and runs away from the place leaving Vansh in smiles.

Ragini reaches her room and rushes towards the washroom. She remembers what Vansh said while rubbing herself with soap everywhere Vansh has touched her. She comes out of the washroom,
"Kabir, I have solid proof with me to say Vansh though is not part of Mafia but he is indeed responsible for certain things to a few people who aren't saints themselves. Anyways get to them and your work will be done but to reach them you need an address which I have. Now if you want it, you need to tell me who is that person who tried to kill me?"
Kabir is so happy to hear about the proof.
"Wah, Ragini. What Ridhima couldn't do in months, you did in days," he thinks.
"Ragini, love, give me the proof first, in meantime, I will search for the culprit."
Ragini tightens her hold on the phone,
"Don't you dare to double-cross me, Kabir? I know what you are. So, give me the name and in return, I will give you the evidence. Remember, Kabir, if you don't say the name in a week, then I will share to Vansh that it is Anupriya, your mother who has killed Uma"
she cuts the call leaving Kabir fuming on another side.

Next-Day Morning:-
While the whole family sat for breakfast they see Mr Chauhan walking inside the mansion with some documents in his hands and a smile on his lips.
Ridhima was the first one to reach him,
"Uncle, would you like to have some Coffee or Tea?"
"No, Ridhima. I'm absolutely fine. Is Mr Rai Singhania is present in the house?"
Mr Chauhan asks
"I'm here Mr Chauhan"
replies Vansh
"Glad I can find you here Mr Rai Singhania. I'm here to give some good news to you both"
says Mr Chauhan
Kailash sees Mr Chauhan and gets shocked to see the World's most popular lawyer is with Ridhima. He enters into the conversation and introduces himself,
"Hello Mr Chauhan, I'm Kailash Rai Singhania. Vansh's Chachu"
he says forwarding his hand for a shake
"Hello Mr Kailash"
Mr Chauhan shakes his hand with Kailash.
"Now, as I promised last time I have made the move from my side but not degraded Ms. Riddhima's character.."
"Mrs. Vansh Rai Singhania"
says Vansh
Mr. Chauhan: Huh?
"You said Ms Ridhima, Mr Chauhan. She is still Mrs Vansh Rai Singhania"
he says with authority.
Mr Chauhan smirks,
"I'm sorry. So without degrading Mrs. Ridhima Vansh Rai Singhania character, I made the move and now your divorce will happen in 3 months"
Mr. Chauhan said emphasizing on Mrs. and shocking everyone along with Vansh on the news
Ridhima and Sejal were so happy that they hugged each other leaving others confused while Sejal says,
"We are enjoying the happiness in our lives, what's with the look with everyone."
"Thank you, Uncle, for making this happen sooner,"
says Ridhima
Mr Chauhan puts his hand on Ridhima while caressing her head affectionately,
"Anything for you my dear"
shocking Rai Singhania's family saying so he leaves the house.
