Sorry if this is off topic but I'm really curious...did anyone here read the Gothic novel 'Rebecca' by Daphne du Maurier?

I loved the book..and some episodes of molkki reminded me of it...there also a young girl gets married to a rich widower, the house appears to be haunted with the spirit of Rebecca like Sakshi and most of all, the creepy servant is so much like housekeeper Mrs Danvers.

Hi, I am new here too. I didn't read this particular novel but I have heard of it. Some describe this novel as being influenced by Jane Eyre. I am a big fan of Jane Eyre (book as well as all the adaptations). Now that I think of it, about the ghostly feel, Jane Eyre has it throughout the book and it's not actually a ghost but the mad first wife of Edward (love interest of Jane). Do give it a try if you are interested. I will try Rebecca and let you know.

Hi! Thanks for the suggestion...I was actually thinking of reading that too! I want to finish all the classic gems before getting engrossed in yet another new series..so Jane Eyre is definitely on the list😊
