Spineless: Sonali and Omkar

I could actually connect with Karishma yesterday when she felt bad about not having a grand reception like Sai and Virat did. It’s totally understandable, both Karishma-Mohit and Sai-Virat got married in secret, both girls aren’t liked by the matriarch so why this difference? I felt bad for Karishma. She is super annoying but I imagine it must not be easy to not get the respect you deserve and also to see your husband being humiliated time and again.

HOWEVER. I have zero sympathy for Sonali and Omkar. They were jealous too but they have themselves to blame. It doesn’t seem like Sonali has any problem with Karishma. Then what stops her from taking a stand for her son and daughter in law? Why does she run behind Bhavani, knowing how she treats her son?

Sai and Virat are getting a grand reception because Ashwini didn’t back down. She loves her son and is wholeheartedly supporting him and standing by him and his wife. She fought alone for Sai against her loser husband and bigger loser Vahini.

Omi and Sonali have no right to blame Ashwini, Virat or Sai for Karishma and Mohit’s treatment in the house. They should be ashamed of themselves and for their spineless. If only they had a bit of courage, things would be very different.

I was thinking about that yesterday.

I really felt bad for Karishma-Mohit yesterday.

Like you said, Ashwini really stood her ground for the rituals and reception for SaiRat, but Omi and Sonali were probably too "ashamed" to show their face to Bhavani.

They really come across as spineless, even today, they were interrupting in the whole drama, to add fuel to the fire. Sai's humiliation makes them happy for some reason

Even I'm really tired of Karishma's character, who is always scheming and spying on other people. But I can understand her problem too. She was never really accepted in the house and no one stood up for her. Ashwini and Virat are standing up for Sai, and it seems like she will be accepted soon.

But the fact is that, Karishma doesn't make it easy for herself either. Her attitude towards people and the things she says obviously makes people get irritated with her. Whereas, for Sai, she's short-tempered and impulsive and stands up for herself, but she doesn't say anything that's not true. There's a lot of truth in what Sai says, and no matter what Bhavani says or thinks, she cannot deny it.

As for Omi and Sonali, I think they only exist to butter up Bhavani and nothing more. They didn't have the guts to stand up for their son, but when Ashwini is doing it, they try to put her down. I hated it when in the final rasam wala episode, where Bhavani threatens to leave the house and Ninad asks Ashwini to touch her feet and apologise, Ashwini says that she didn't do anything wrong. Omi has the audacity to say that "aapse toh koi galti nahi hui, lekin aapke bete se toh hui hai na!!"

For these schemers and chamchas and gharv-waale, Sai is the right person to deal with them!

I agree with all the things that you have mentioned. They need to grow a spine and learn from Ashwini.

I would also like to add that they should have all the more reason to support Viraat and Sai because I am sure that Virat or Ashiwini never mistreated them or Karishma and Mohit. Ashwini has always supported them as much as she could.

In the end, it should have been up to Om and Sonali to make sure that their son gets their due and Mohit's job to stand by his wife and demand respect just like Viraat does for Sai.

They also felt bad for Mohit when their Vahini snatched the plate from Mohit. What Sai did for mohit, they couldn't do that.

These 2 are the worse parents ever I’ve seen upto date, parents who can’t even stand up for their own son.

For children parents are everything and if parents don’t support you in front of others out self confidence diminishes. That’s what happened with Mohit, but I’m glad he has his Sai vahini, Ashwini kaku and virat dada.

These vile people don’t deserve the gem of a son Mohit is.
