CHAPTER -5

Siddhant after sending off them to hell , turned and saw roli, who was stopped dead in her tracks, by seeing the murder scene which just happened few minutes ago .

He again looks at his watch ..

Siddhant : Roli if you are done seeing and enjoying the action sequence .. get into the car .. we have to reach your house on time ...

No response ..

Siddhant : Roli I am talking to you ..

Seeing no response from her . He moved towards her and called out her name ..

Siddhant : Roli..

But still no response..

Siddhant rolled his eyes and held her hand and took a step towards their car but as soon as he moved ahead ..her eyes shutdowned and she crumpled down like a puppet who was suddenly released from its string .

But before she hit the ground.. sid tightened his grip on her hand and pulled her up which resulted in Roli crashing into Sid’s chest . He tries to wake her up by patting her cheeks and calling out her name . But no response .

He then takes her in his arms and lays her on her back in the back seat of the car and elevates her leg to help blood flow to the brain . And takes a water bottle which he usually keeps under the front seat and sprinkles water on her face . She shrinked her forehead and slowly opened her eyes and sees Sid next to her . She sat holding her head .It took her few seconds to recollect what happened....

Siddhant : are you ok now ?

Hearing his voice Roli startled and moved a bit back and started shivering in fear ..

He gave her water and a biscuit packet which he had ..

Siddhant : have this ..This is the first time you were seeing a murder right ?! That’s why I guess your BP fell low in shock seeing the action sequence.

Roli ( stammeringly ) : whaatt w..as the need to shoot them for that ?! you know bullets leave bigger holes than you think ..now what about their family who were dependent on them ..

Siddhant : seriously you want me to spare them ?! Even after my warning he dared .. and remember it was the same men who would have sent you to hell ..( roli frowns ) what ?! .. being a mafia’s daughter and wife .. you think you will be allowed to step inside heaven ?! And he drived towards DIWEDI MANSION.

Other side .. kittu’s boss receiving no calls from his men understood that they foiled the plan and gulped a drink which was served in the function in agony .

Siddhant parks his car outside diwedi mansion and again warns her to zip her mouth about the incident and just keep smiling throughout the function .

They both entered the beautifully decorated mansion .. he held roli’s hand with a smile and entered the mansion making others look at them like a happy made for each other couple .. While for roli ,the very thought that same hand which killed 6 people just few mins ago is holding her hand made her heart pound harder . she tried her best to mask her fearful face with a smiley face.

Roli’s parents welcomed them inside . Seeing roli after a long time rajjo and Meena went forward to hug her .. but roli moved back in anger avoiding the hug as she got married to a ruthless heartless man because of them .. though they felt hurt by her behavior.. they managed to act happy in front of all ..

Everyone who came to function congratulated the newly wed couple .

Later Siddhant moved to a side and called and informed his father about that so called robbery. And Rajendra assured him that he take care of the rest .

As it was almost lunch time . Everyone were went to have their buffet .. roli lost her appetite remembering the robbery incident.

She turned and saw siddhant who was having his yummy and tasty lunch enjoying to his fullest .

( he releases her from his hold and holds her hands and then goes two step back )

( and he moves forward and then twirls and circles her right hand across her left side holding her left hand with his right hand .. making her inside his hold and then back hugs her .. shocking Roli )

Roli (murmurs grumpily ): now I feel like crying and killing you ... but that also won’t suit this song ..

Jamanlal asked roli and siddhant to stay in their mansion for the day to which Rajendra approved making Sujatha and mataji disappointed .

Jamanlal asked them both to go take some rest .. and ordered his servant to show siddhant way to roli’s room .

The servant showed him the room and left .

Siddhant scanned the room with his eyes before stepping in . roli directly laid down in her bed tiredly .. and drifted to sleep .

Siddhant sat in recliner sofa and took out his phone and called Rajendra .

After talking to him ,

Siddhant : Roli..

Roli (in half sleep ) : hmm

Siddhant : Roli where is the remote. Of this TV ( pointing towards the tv hanging in the wall )

Roli ( in 1/4 sleep ): all the remotes are kept in that cupboard which is in your left .

Siddhant opened and found so many remotes ..

Siddhant : why do you have these many remotes ?!

Roli (in 1/4 sleep ) : many ?? There will be one remote of the DVD player, then speaker, TV,setup box,music player AC ,curtain, light .. and that’s it ..

Siddhant : that’s it ?! So less you know ..

Roli : haan ..

Siddhant rolled his eyes and huffed .

He checked one by one remote .. but didn’t find the TV remote .

Siddhant : roli except TV remote every other remotes are there .. where is TV remote ?!

Roli(sleepily ): is it not there ?!

Siddhant : No

Roli (in 1/8 sleep ): oh haan .. that day in anger I broke It .. so you better operate the TV with the buttons in the TV ..

Siddhant got irritated.

Siddhant : Rolii

Now Roli got annoyed because of his continues disturbance .

She woke up and went to the TV and onned the TV and took the set up box remote and gave it to him and went back to sleep .

Siddhant : Better .

He changed the channel one by one and stopped it at news channel .

He was keenly watching the news ....

“BREAKING NEWS ‼️

Accident at highway ..6 spot dead ..it is said that the driver was drunken while driving and hit the tree “

Siddhant flashed a smile seeing the flashing news .he took his pistol and caressed it .

Whereas Roli hearing the breaking news woke up and got shocked seeing it as it was kittu’s And gang’s death news . A murder changed into accident.

And she turned to sid and saw him pointing the gun towards her ..

she gulped her saliva seeing that .

He loaded the guns with bullets and kept in back inside his pocket ..

Roli stood up with a jerk gaining Sid’s attention.

Siddhant : what happened ?

Roli ( stammeringly ) : no-nothin-nng .. just thought to fre-sshen up ..

And rushed to the bathroom grabbing a changing dress and a towel .

Roli closed the bathroom door and placed the towel and the dress aside ..

and stood in front of the mirror ..

Roli seeing the mirror ,

Roli : arrey Roli ..where are you struck yaar ?! ( she palmed her face )He shot them just infront of your eyes and in the news .. they are telling a different story . How ?! .. is this the power of Mafia ?

Siddhant ( loudly ) : yes Mrs.mafia queen .. this is the power of mafia ..

Roli’s went wide in horror hearing his voice

Siddhant : And next time better onn the shower and talk .. so that I can’t hear your blabberings ..

Roli turned on the shower as soon as he said ..

Siddhant : Good .

Siddhant gets a message from Rajendra, so he goes out to make a call .

Hearing no more talks from him .

She opened the door to check if he is still standing there .. and she took a deep breathe in relief finding him gone .

And went back inside to take a warm shower .

After a while ,

Rajjo came and called Roli and Siddhant for dinner ..

Roli denied telling that she is not hungry .. while only she knows that her hunger got brutally murdered by fear . Siddhant goes down with Rajjo and haves a nice dinner .

NIGHT

After dinner Siddhant comes back to the room and sees Roli walking here and there thinking something . He ignores her and lays down in the bed which didn’t go unnoticed by Roli .

Roli : arrey that’s my bed . You sleep in the couch..

Siddhant raised his eyebrows ..

Seeing his stern reaction ..Roli bites her tongue realising what she said .

Roli ( stammeringly ) : I meant that .. though it’s my bed .. you can sleep here and I will sleep in the couch ..no ..I will sleep outside in the recliner enjoying the night sky .. good night ..

She took a pillow and blanket and marched towards the balcony .

Siddhant ( sternly ): wait

Roli gulps her Saliva and turns around facing him .

Siddhant : I am noticing you from the morning incident .. what is your problem?

Roli ( murmurs ) : You only

Siddhant : what ?!

Roli ( stammeringly) : N-othin-gg

Siddhant : tell me the truth

Roli takes a deep breath

Roli : woh.. will you .. shoot me with that gun of yours ?

Siddhant : what !?

Roli : haan .. just like you killed those robbers today .. will you kill me ? You killed them because even after your warning they dared .. and me .. I don’t think I will ever obey you .. ( Siddhant glares at her ) .. I mean follow your orders ..woh ..

Roli actions that she zipped her mouth ..

Roli : arrey you took away 6 families sleep and asking me to sleep peacefully..

Roli starts sweating profusely hearing those ..

Roli’s mind rewinded her memory ..

After remembering that .. she swiftly ran away and laid down in the couch and covered the blanket till her head .

Siddhant shrugged his shoulders and went to sleep .

MIDNIGHT

Roli was moving here and there without getting sleep . Her stomach growled in hunger ..

Roli to herself : arrey Roli .. morning because of your anger .. didn’t eat .. but anger is justified.. but you should have ate something else na .. then afternoon and night .. because of this kadoos and your fear .. you skipped the food .. now look.. rats put a tent in your stomach and enjoying.. arghhh !!

She uncovered the blanket and saw Siddhant who was sleeping peacefully.

Roli : look how peacefully he is sleeping after destroying 36 people’s sleep .. no wait.. 6 people died .. and will be roaming as ghost .. and ghost won’t sleep right .. so .. 30 people’s sleep and + my sleep .. so total 31 people’s sleep .. arghhh ..

Arrey Roli .. better go and eat something.. otherwise you will die because of starvation making his ( pointing Siddhant ) work easier .

She silently stood up and came out of the room .. and went to the kitchen .

She looked around and found all the vessels empty .

Roli : yaar .. is this really a Mafia’s house or what ? Arghhhh .. now what to do ?

She sees the fridge and goes near it and finds it locked ..

Roli : seriously ? Why will anyone lock their fridge yaar ? Argh ..

Then a noodles packet grabs her attention..

Roli gets excited seeing it ..

Roli : Noodles .. my saviour.. but how to cook it ? whom to ask ? Maa and bua .. I won’t ask .. because I have self respect and ego .. then servants .. after a long tiring day .. I can’t disturb their sleep and add them to my sleepless people list . No problem Roli .. today bring out your cooking skills ....now get into work .

She took it and read the instructions.. and took some water and for vegetables.. she chucked it .. then a pan ..

She followed all the given instructions and waited for her yummy noodles ..

after few mins ..

Roli : arrey .. isn’t it supposed to be 2 mins noodles .. then why is it taking more than 20 mins.. arghh .. this is also testing my patience too much .. my dear noodles .. please cook fast na ..

“ what’s going on here ?! “

Roli ( annoyedly ) : can’t you see ? Cooking ..

Roli slowly turned around and found Siddhant standing there crossing his arms against his chest .

Roli ( stammeringly) : a-aap

Siddhant : haan ..

Roli : what are you doing here ? Morning .. healthy and yummy breakfast.. afternoon biriyani .. night .. naan and mutton .. and you are still hungry ??

Siddhant : what ? Look I came down as ..

Roli : As you didn’t find me there ? Aww you are so caring too ..

Siddhant : you are mistaken .. I came down as the water in the jar got over .. so I came to refill it .. moreover I can’t sleep peacefully In a rival’s house ..

Roli took her mouth to one side and went near her noodles .

Siddhant : by the way .. what are you doing here now ?

Roli ; I said na .. cooking ..

Siddhant : why ? At this hour ?

Roli : isn’t it obvious? I am hungry yaar ..

I didn’t eat anything from morning ..

Siddhant : I gave you a packet of biscuit ..

Roli : that’s not sufficient for a day .. whatever don’t disturb me now ..

Siddhant raised his eyebrows looking at her noodles ..

Roli : arrey my dear noodles .. please cook fast na ..

Siddhant moves near her and .. turn on the stove .. making Roli shocked.

Roli felt embarrassed.. obviously.

Roli reads how to prepare behind the noodles packet ..

“break the noodle cake into 4 parts

Add noodles and tastemaker to 210 ml ( approx. 1 1/2 tea cups ) of boiling water .

Cook for two minutes in an open pan . Stir occasionally. Do not drain remaining water . Hold for 1 min after cooking. Serve hot . “

Roli : woh .. they didn’t mention about the stove na .. that’s why .. I .. moreover in the tension I forgot ..

Siddhant : I didn’t ask for any explanation ..

He left upstairs..

Roli : Roli .. now ego or noodles ....... what is there to think .. after this much .. noodles only .. arrey to teach them a lesson .. you need to be alive na ..

She took the noodles and transferred it to a plate and filled her empty stomach.

After eating .. she went upstairs .. and slept peacefully.
