It's very confusing. His behavior doesn't make any sense to me either.

But I have said many times, if Swara is really dead, it'll become too much of a drift between Deshmukhs and Ranes.

I feel like his behavior may appear genuine cause I'm sure he is upset at what happened to his sister and he is also mad at AnuYani as he feels the diary is true.

So I feel like this is a 50/50 chance. I'm just going by CVS patterns. They always make sure there is scope for reconciliation between Deshmukhs and Ranes after, which is why I also feel chances of Swara being dead is less. And if she's not dead, I'm sure he's being blackmailed to some extent. And right about now, the new entry would be making an entry into the plot. We knew new entry was coming in the last track since it was presumably Trilok that killed Rachit.

I somehow feel like this new entry will be a professional enemy of Kalyani who wants to ruin her both personally and professionally. That's why I feel like CVS showed us those Malhar ruining Kalyani's professional life scenes. Cause now we know that Kalyani is hot water due to all these issues going on in her personal life. I feel like that part may be due to this blackmailer. That's why at times he seems so conflicted, sometimes he seems genuine and sometimes he seems normal. And he's genuinely not the type to blame Kalyani for her family's bs. Or else he wouldn't have fallen in love with her. In the past, he found many ways to torture Mai himself rather than torturing Kalyani.

To me, it makes sense if he’s being blackmailed. Cause he’d feel even more resentful. AnuYani never saved his sister but he has to save them at the cost of his sister.

I’ve been reading WU since the SR episode, I felt he looked very conflicted during that night. I almost felt he was doing it against his will. Maybe this blackmailer wanted Malhar to take those pictures of Kalyani to ruin her but ofc Malhar couldn’t do it.
