Hi this is Rithika, I wrote stories on many couplesinitially now after a long gap I loved sayi and virat in this show. As I cudntstop my enthusiasm I watched the show in tamil and loved it though I cudnt getthe language. The story in tamil too made me fall in love with thesecharacters. I don’t know how hindi show makers will shape the story line buthere I wrote a one shot how I would want to see sayi and virat.
This one shot is a summary of their 5 year journeypresented to you through their conversation on the convocation day of sayi. Thisis how their relation developed from one anniversary to next and finally whatis their relationship status on their convocation day.

SAIRAT OS: CONVOCATION DAY:-
It was 7:30 in the evening. Sayi was sitting near her study table seeing her convocation certificate and talking to her abha’s photo.The certificate held the name Dr. SAYI JOSHI CHAVAN. Today was her convocation now she is officially a doctor. She was sharing her happiness to her abha about her convocation and the way whole chavan family along with usha mausi, Milind kaka and his wife were present at the convocation to congratulate her and shareher happiness. As they returned from convocation the whole family arranged a small cake cutting ceremony and special lunch celebrating her first milestone as a doctor. Since it was their 5th wedding anniversary too there was a party organized only by family members in the evening with a small cake cutting celebration and a dinner in the evening in honor of Virat and Sayi.
Virat got ready and left downstairs to join the family and now Sayi got dressed in a blue saree gifted by Virat for their anniversary.As she was about to leave the room usha mausi came to her room and questioned about the status of her marriage with Virat. She asked whether Sayi considers this marriage still as a deal or as a lifetime commitment. She asked sayi whether she was willing to stay in this relation or leave it as she is officially a doctor now. This question of Usha mausi made Sayi dumbstruck. She couldnot answer back. So she just went to the most comfortable place in her room, to herstudy table and started speaking to her abha’s photo. She asked her father to guide her regarding the confusion in her brain. What she should do? How she should tell him? When to tell him?
Sayi was talking to her abha’s photo “abha pls u always guided whenever I am in a confusion so please help me now too. I need totalk to virat but I don’t know how and when? Should I talk now or after this celebration? Please abha help me..” while she was saying this she could hear virat asking her “what was that u wanted to talk to me sayi?” seeing him behind she felt that may be it was her abha’s sign that she need to talk about it now.She caught his hand and slowly took him to the balcony.
Sayi said, “Usha mausi asked me whether I am going to be in this marriage or do I still consider this as a deal?” He just nodded his head and replied “not just mausi I can sense that question in everyone’s face. Wealways made it clear to everyone that our marriage was just a deal and not to expect anything from this relation. And we know that was they never celebrated or asked us to celebrate our anniversary too. I guess, to know our answer about our relation they have arranged for this celebration. And I feel its time we need to make it clear from our side too.”
“I need to talk to you about something important before we talk to the family” replied sayi. Virat looked puzzled at her. She went into room and returned with an envelope in her hand and handed it over to him.
Virat opened it and started reading it. His eyes started to well up with tears and a faint smile appeared in his face. Seeing his reaction Sayi lips curled into a faint smile and tears welling up in her eyes too. Virat looked up at her with tears in his eyes and asking for an assurance whether the papers in his hands were really true. To which Sayi nodded and replied, “yes I am pregnant.” Virat kept the report aside and cupped her face and kissed onher forehead and hugged her for few seconds and just kept uttering “thank u,thank u, thank u”. he broke the hug and asked her “when did u know it?” “2 days ago” she replied. “Then why didn’t u share it with me?” he asked. “ I was confused”, said she. “Confused for what”, asked virat. “We never talked about it, planned for it, and It just happened so I was in a shock and confused. And I thought if u weren’t ready for this so I couldn’t tell you. But now I cudnt hold it anymore so I finally said you.”
Virat smiled at her answer. He knew she was very mature can understand him without speaking a word at times bt sometimes she is like a kid who wants to hear everything in words directly from him. sometime she is the same too. He Just hugged her and said “ok now leave about that. Thanku sayi & this is one of the best gift of my life and one of the best anniversaries we had. I love you.. I love you so much and I cant wait for our baby now”
Sayi broke the hug and asked him “I thought this is your best gift and best anniversary but u said its one of your best where is the other best gift and anniversary officer?” Virat smiled at her question and cupped her face and said “my first best gift of my life is you Sayi and the best anniversary was our third anniversary when we both confessed our feelings and made love to eachother. That will always be my best anniversary forever.” Sayi smiled and blushed at his answer. “But I had to make a lot of drama and leave to my medical camp at pune to make you confess your feelings. So much struggle Ihad to do officer”, replied sayi teasing him.
“Ah! Struggle. Even I had to struggle a lot to reach you on that day at your camp. There was a bandh and I had to use my power and position at every checkpost to reach you.” Said virat. “I remember, and that made me fall in love with you all over again. You know more than that, I loved how u broke all your promises and commitments made to pakhi and struggled to reach me that night. How desperate were you to tell me that you loved me.”replied she. “What to do doc, you just gave me an ultimatum that I need to decide about us by that anniversary night otherwise you would leave me and I couldn’t reach you on phone because of the network issue in your camp area. So I had no option but to reach you by road before the night ends and I cant afford to lose you” said virat. Sayi smiled at it and hugged him.
Virat kissed on the top of her head and replied “you know sayi after our first anniversary mishap at lonawala I never thought our relationship would work out.” Sayi broke the hug and looked at him with a surprise. He replied “yes, that day after the cake cutting I wanted to tell you that I have fallen for you and want to work on this relation but you bursted out just by looking at the cake. You were not happy or willing to celebrate our anniversary. you said that our anniversary reminded you of how helpless you were and nothing of that day made you happy. That shattered all my dreams of a having a happy life with you. That was why I didn’t stay with you on our second anniversary.”
“if I spoiled our first anniversary then you spoiled the second one.” Said sayi. Virat looked at her in a puzzled mode. “yes, I wanted to tell you that I have fallen for you and whether you were willing to break your promises to pakhi and start a life with me as by then pakhi was also happy with samrat but you left the house 2 days prior in the name of mission and returned home with a bullet shot. And after seeing you like that I felt I was unlucky to you and never confessed my feelings to you”. “Ha I remember how you were avoiding me. it was the biggest torture for me to stay away from you. And it took me a lot of effort for almost 5 months to make you realise that you were lucky for me and you were the one who made me learn to live life happily and fully.” Said virat.
“oh please don’t just blame me it was your bhavani kaaku who filled that fear and superstition in me, and in that terrible situation it impacted on me. but till I gave you an ultimatum to decide about us and come to me only when you get yourselves relieved from those promises made to pakhi you made the move. Otherwise you have behaved like you loved me but always maintained a vaccum between us. Thank God my medical camp in rural parts of the pune helped me otherwise you would never break those promises and never get back to me.”
Virat smiled at sayi’s words. He nodded his head and then made her sit on the chair and kneeled infront of her and cupped her face and said “that was the day I got my life back sayi. I moment I said you I love you and said that I was relieved of all the promises I made to pakhi and that smile on your face and tears in your eyes and that moment you said I love you is the best moment of my life. that night when we made love to eachother was the best night in my whole life. my heart my soul everything was filled with happiness and content. I realized that I doesn’t need anything more than you in this life and now you are giving me this baby our baby, our symbol of love I really cant thank u enough sayi.”
Sayi eyes filled with tears and she caught his hands which were cupping her face and brought them near her lips and kissed them and said “virat actually I need to thank you for coming into my life. after I lost abha I thought I have no reason to live and tried to end my life and you saved me then and made me realize that I have a dream to live, made my dream a reality and today is the proof of that. Not just that you gave me love happiness family and above all if I lost a father I got a mother because of you and today if I am so happy and content in my life its all because of you. You worried about me just like my own abha would do. Thanku virat for coming in my life and fulfilling it with all happiness and love.” saying so she kissed him on his lips.
After breaking the kiss virat said “you have learnt to handle me very well. You just said so many good things about me even before I could realise them u just made me forget everything around us with this kiss.” Sayi smiled and said “oh.. I never thought my kiss still has so much effect on you. And yes I learnt to handle you and your family very well otherwise how would we hide our relationship status from the whole family including pakhi from whom youhave got yourselves relieved from those stupid promises.” Virat nodded his head.
“ I agree.. not just you even I became a master in hiding about us in our family. And there is nothing to complain about it as it was our mutual decision because we knew we need to learn more about each other so we kept it a secret so that they wont have any expectations. And that was why even for our last anniversary we went out and celebrated alone in the pretext of my friend’s marriage but now we had no choice because of your convocation. Andnow we have this celebration for us.” Said virat.
“Yes, this time we couldnot avoid but its good that It happened this way now we can make our announcement regarding our marriage being a lifetime commitment with a proof growing in my womb.” said sayi with a smile and blush on her face looking at her belly. Virat smiled kept his hand on her belly and said “yes, our baby,symbol of our love & our relation. My God I cant expect how our family would go crazily happy listening to this news especially aai. She will be on cloud nine because now she will be assured that you will be with her forever. I cant imagine everyone’s reaction.”
“You need not imagine you can just feel it if we go and break the news to them. So shall we go its almost 8 now. They will be waiting for us. If we make it more late then they will be tensed thinking we are arguing over some matter and may imagine far more worse things. So lets go down” said sayi. Virat laughs and nods in agreement with her and makes her getup from the chair and hugs her and kisses her once again and takes her down by keeping a hand over her shoulder to break the news of their togetherness and about their upcoming new blessing in their life to the family awaiting downstairs.
