Truth
It has been three months Vansh died. Her Vansh, her Husband. She was about to get married to Kabir when she brought what she thought was her biggest pawn, Vihaan. Vihaan changed her life completely. Saved her. Although he charged heavily but she was still thankful he helped her to get out of Kabir and Anupriya's evil plan. he saved her and her family.
Initially she was convinced he was Vihaan, nowhere near Vansh. She would teach him everything Vansh did and he almost always enacted it perfectly and when he fell short she helped him cover up.
He was a flirt, a hopeless flirt. He would tell her how beautiful she was and remind her of her hotness. He would touch her out of the blue and came closer to her but never really crossed his limits.
In the first one month of his entry in the VR mansion, Ridhima never once thought he could be Vansh. She became habitual of calling him Vansh, training him and never leaving him alone. He kept his facade in front of family and when he was with her alone, they talked about life and he joked all the time.
The first time Ridhima doubted him to be Vansh was when she had seen a dream, a nightmare to be precise. She saw him falling from the cliff and she screamed his name..
Flashback :
"Vansh" she sat down on the bed
"Ridhima, Kya hua?" He came by her side
"Tum hamesha mere darawne sapne he dekhqti ho Kya, last time bhi ese he chillayi the" he said casually
"Tumhe kese pata?" She had asked. She remembered very clearly, it was dream where Vansh shot Kabir and she still shouted his name. He was there on the couch with a coffee mug and she didn't remember telling anything about this to Vihaan.
"Kya pata? Shayad tmhe pata nhi tum neend m vansh Vansh he krti rehti ho" he gave her an answer to satisfy her but she was Ridhima, once she doubts something, she doesn't really leave it.
At that time she let it go, somehow Vihaan managed to convince her but then the next time, when Ishani hid the heart pillow Vansh gave her and she was finding it.
"Wo mjhe Vansh ne dia tha, uski nishani h" she said tears brimming in her eyes
"Tumhari kismat m he nahi h wo heart, kabhi jal jata h kabhi gum jata h" he said as he kept searching for it.
She was taken aback, how did he know about the burning. She played along
"Wo galti se jal Gaya tha" she said trying to see his reaction "jee nhi wo jaan bujh k jalaya Gaya tha kyuki wo Kabir.." he has started but bit his tongue
"Tumne btaya tha na ki Vansh ne Jala dia tha" he explained
"Nhi btaya tha.." she suspiciously looked at him
"To mjhe Kya Vansh k bhoot ne btaya?" He said trying to avoid her gaze
She doesn't remember how he got away with that but she was convinced again he was Vihaan.
The more recent event, that happened last night, she couldn't get her minds off it.
"Vansh, you're Soo drunk" she balanced his tall body on her shoulders and carried him to their room
"Vihaan" she whispered
"This is not how Vansh behaved, why are you coming home out of your senses?" She questioned
"Sweetheart, Kya kru, kabhi kabhi Dil ka dard itta badh jata h, dawa ki jarurat to padti h na" he said, his eyes almost shutting down.
"Tumhare Dil ka Kya dard h Vihaan?" She asked him removing his shoes and socks
"Tum" he answered.
"Kaha tha na Ridhima tumse, kahi galti se mjhe dhokha dene ki galti Kar betho to isse pehle ki mjhe pata chale, khud ko khtam Kar Lena.." he said and rested his head on the pillow
"Tumne to mjhe he khatam kr dia" he was mumbling things
She was shocked was an understatement. No way she told Vihaan about this. There was nothing tht made sense to her. She strongly suspected him to be Vansh. She had this feeling of safety and comfort whenever he was around but now she was almost sure it was him.
The night was long for her, she kept looking at him, he was sleeping peacefully, but peace was no where near her.
Present :
"Utho" she opened the curtains
"Ridhima 5 min" he turned to the other side
"Itti peete he Kyu ho Jab handle nhi hoti" she said offering him a glass of lemonade.
"Thanks" he sat on the bed and drank it in one go.
"Kaha gye the kal?" She asked casually
"Bus.. ese he.. I am sorry" he said
"Taiyaar hojao Hume Bahar Jana" he kept his clothes on the bed and left before he could ask where they were heading.
"Beta Aram se Jana, koi takleef ho to batana" he heard Dadi tell her
"Kaha ja rhe h hum?" Vihaan asked
"Vansh? Tu kese bhul skta h itti badi baat?" Dadi questioned him
"Kya hua Dadi?"
"bhabhi ka second trimester start ho chuka h Bhai, unki sonography h, ye to apko yaad hona chaiye tha" Angre said as he picked up the car keys
"What?" He widened his eyes
"Vansh! Chalo warna hum late ho jaenge" Ridhima called him out and signalled him to stay quiet. Vihaan clenched his fist and tried making his expressions normal. What was all this? Was Ridhima making up a story for someone else? But who? It couldn't be Ishani shes already pregnant, sia is not here then who? What is all this?
He went with her to the maternity clinic. Angre was along with them so they didn't talk much. He was confused and irritated but decided to talk when they reach home.
"How's the baby?" Angre asked her in the car
"Doctor said he's growing fine, no complications" She answered
"Did you see the baby?" He smiled
"Yes and it's so beautiful, they will send the reports by the evening" she smiled back.
"Congratulations Bhai, once again" Angre said
"Hmm" Vansh was still confused.
The rest of the ride was silent. Once they reached home and took blessings from Dadi and rest of the house, Vihaan was impatient.
He had a lot to ask and she had a lot to answer.
After hours of waiting, finally they were going to be alone.
"What is all this Ridhima?" He demanded an answer
"What?" She asked
"Oh this pregnancy thing"
"Actually I am so sorry, Mai tumhe batana bhul gai the Vihaan, or aj achanak se clinic Jana tha" she sighed
"Tum pregnant ho?" He asked
"Nahi keertan krne Gaye the maternity home" She rolled her eyes
"Ridhima I am serious" he screamed
"What the hell are you getting angry for?" She asked perplexed
"Really Ridhhima? Isn't it hard ? Acting all innocent and naive?" He clenched his jaws and inched closer
"Vihaan, this is Vansh's baby, before he died he gave me this gift" she softly replied
"No no he didn't" he shouted
"You never spent a night together and you're telling me you have his baby?" He held her arms tightly.
"Excuse me? Who you are to to say I didn't sleep with my husband?" She pushed him
"Because I know"
"You don't, what happened in this bedroom was my and my husband's business and no one knows anything about it"
"This is his child and since you are Vansh now, for time being, this is yours, I will pay you extra grands for acting like a father" she declared
But Vihaan wasn't convinced. He was enraged. He had no idea what joke life played on him. He wanted to cry and he wanted to laugh at his faith. He looked at her blankly, his eyes red and his heart pained. The women in front of her, his wife, she betrayed him, again, except this time it was as if he couldn't take it.
"What do you think, is it a boy or a girl" Ridhima asked looking at her belly in the mirror.
It enraged him more.
"This is the last time I am asking you, Ridhima" he said calmly, so calm and composed it sent shiver down her spine, making it sure it was him.
"What?"
"Are you pregnant?"
"Yes"
"Then who is the father?" He asked sternly
"Vansh"
"No" he came closer to her.
"You know what Ridhima, I used to think being betrayed is the most outrageous emotion one can make me feel.. it was above love and hate and enimity. But now I ask myself and I ask you.. do you think you stop loving someone because they betray you?" He paused. She was staring at him.
"I don't think so, That's what makes the betrayal hurt so much - pain, frustration, anger... and I still loved you. I did until this moment" he completed. She knew she has unlocked the right door. She stayed quiet. She wanted to hear it from him
"Until this moment when I think all my love for you has vanished. You teach me how mean and cruel you have been and a liar." He added, on the verge of crying.
"Vihaan" she whispered.
"Vansh, I am Vansh and of all the things I thought, You cheating on me was never on the list. Yes we had planned and ploted against each other but in love ? I don't think so. Your God that you worshipped day and night knows, knows how loyal I have been. Never have I ever laid my eyes on anyone after I saw you and you? You.. how can you Ridhhima?" He jerked her in anger and hurt.
"Is it me who cheated you Vansh or is it you?" She finally spoke.
"What?" He laughed
"I have not broken your heart Vansh, you have broken it and in breaking it, you have broken mine. You stepped on my heart and you made me cry, you made me suffer. Even after everything I never left you and what did you do? You kept leaving me..sometimes wondering what you were upto and other times.. alone.. in this world? Is this your love Vansh Rai Singhania then in all my sane mind I don't want to be loved I don't wish this love on any one." She screamed and something in her voice scared him. He took a step back. Following him she took a step forward even though she didn't want to but still she did.
"You talk of betrayal? But for betrayal there has to be trust. You never trusted me and I didn't trust you either, I tried but couldnt. At least I don't scream and blame you of betrayal." She sobbed.
"Nothing changes the fact that you're pregnant and it's not.." he started to say something in his defence
"And nothing changes the fact that you're Vansh Rai Singhania who was living with me for three months and he watched me suffer. Slept on the same bed yet forced me to stay away from him. Made my life hell, demanded money I can't arrange." She answered.
"I am not pregnant Vansh." She added.
"It was all so I know you're Vansh not Vihaan, Dadi and Angre knew, part of a plan they were" she wiped her tears and explained. He closed his eyes as realisation struck him.
"Now when you're back, for real, not as Vihaan" she laughed. "I liked Vihaan though" she confessed.
"Anyway now when you're back, I think you will handle your family better than I do" she said looking at him
"This is your family too" he softly answered.
"I think I will be okay alone, I know my heart will never be same but I tell myself and I tell.you, I will be okay, without you" she was determined
"You can't"
"Why? I am tired. I don't want to stay on this road any longer where people use me without ever trusting me. You know Vansh out of you, Kabir and Vihaan, Vihaan was the absolute best. At least his demands were clear." She said
"Have you fallen for him?" He chuckled
"You can't fall in love with someone when you're already in love with another person" she said
"You can if both of them.are the same person"
"Both of them were false"
"But their love for you is true"
She ignored him and moved towards the door. He quicky grabbed the handle and closed it.
"I am not allowing you to go. We are staying together. Forgive me" he said it in one go.
"Forgive me Sweetheart, for I left you alone" he again apologized.
"I love you" he added.
"I don't think you do"
"Give me a chance to prove"
"I only have this life Vansh, I will give it all for you to love me. Is it enough?" She choked
"It is all I ever wanted. All I need." He said as he hugged her tightly.
"Please don't cry"
"Please let me cry, I haven't cried properly" she said and hid her face and hugged him back.
