SSR was not of any importance in Bollywood. Most bollywood never cared for him. The warriors need to understand this.
Exactly! SSR was nothing but a B-grade actor and a bloody nonentity who was extremely anti-social and also his networking skills sucked big time. He had no friends(be it professional or genuine) in the industry, so why the heck should Bollywood give a damn about him? And also he was hardly a threat nor a big name, so why on earth should anyone feel threatened by a small fry like him? Heck even the likes of Ayushmann, Rajkumar, Vicky, Karthik Aaryan and even Siddhant Chaturvedi were BIGGER than him. They were also more relevant unlike SSR who was totally fading away.
Also sorry to say but his so-called star power is nothing but a myth because that man had no BO clout at all. Most of his movies were either flops or underperformers. The USP of Dhoni was the real MS Dhoni, so that movie could've worked with any actor worth his salt plus SSR's performance was extremely ordinary and forgettable. And the less said about the mediocre Chichore, the better! but again the USP of Chichore was the director of Dangal since the movie was sold on his name entirely, whereas SSR was just a footnote and his performance was bloody awkward. His co-stars not only overshadowed him but they also ended up getting all the MVP notes and rightfully so.
And lastly..SSR was only suitable for those earthy, common man roles because of his below average looks. He was a big misfit for the roles involving elite and sophisticated men because in such roles, he would always fall flat on his face as he failed to look convincing as an urban rich man for obvious reasons. Drive anyone? His 'Manav image' was too strong, so he had tons of limitations.
