I loved this movie back then and remember being all teary-eyed and emotional whilst watching it in the theatre.

It's a classic, and the songs are beautiful.

Rani was very good too - deserves a special mention.

I need to be enlightened about what exactly was happening during this period! I have great knowledge of box office in the present time, but I was still fairly young when these films released and didn't have knowledge of box office at the time. I do find it rather strange that many big films from 2002-2005 had just about a "Hit" verdict! If you could kindly explain?

Well Raaz was labeled a blockbuster in 2002 and then not another one till 2006 krrish

It inspired many tv soaps.

And the album just proves that old is gold, even their discarded and sidelined music is better than the current ones.

As far as I know, the whole decade of 2000s got effected because of India's transition from single screens to multiplexes.

Single screens were closing down and audience was skeptical to watch movies in multiplexes because of high ticket price so audience got divided. Movies were either a multiplex or a single screen Hit.

3 Idiots was the first film to be accepted in both multiplexes and single screens and also generate huge footfalls.

This decade being a lull effected SRK's stardom the most. As he could have got many more big Hits in his filmography if box office was not so thanda.
