Chapter 5

Leaving everyone shocked announced Kabir.

“What nonsense is that?” says Vansh.

“Inspector you must have some misunderstanding. My Vansh cannot do anything like that.” Said worried dadi.

“Inspector on what grounds are you accusing Vansh bhai? Do you have any proofs?” inquired Angre stepping forward.

“Oh, we have proof.” Says Kabir

and plays the clip in front of everyone leaving everyone shocked once again.

Vansh who was trying to get a grasp of everything looked around and noticed everyone was present except Riddhima come to think of it she has been missing since morning now making him doubt her involvement in this mess. This morning itself he got the same footage but did not know who sent it.

Kabir who was there with his subordinates, constable, and seniors considering Vansh’s stature asks the constable to arrest Vansh. Putting handcuffs on Vansh as all of them were about to leave comes a voice.

“Wait.”

Making everyone look towards it only be left stunned to see Riddhima was standing there that too with a doctor, a nurse, and a very much alive Ragini making Chanchal almost faint on her spot and Aryan holding her to make her stand.

Coming forward-looking at the seniors present there with Kabir,

Riddhima: "As you can see the girl about whose murder my husband has been accused is very much alive and standing in front of you all. She has been mentally unstable for the past three years and my husband has been getting her treated and taking care of her all this while here are the reports. Fearing about her safety he hid her from everyone and since her parents have passed away and no alive relatives he took her responsibility.”

Said Riddhima with a confident streak on her face forwarding the reports to them which she was holding in her hands and continues

“If you still have any doubts you can ask the doctor who is present here. He has been in charge of Ragini and treating her, and the nurse who has been taking care of her for all these years.” “Officer I would also like for you to appoint a trusted man of yours for Ragini’s safety here till she recovers. Though she perfectly safe in my husband’s watch here yet just in case if tomorrow some unfortunate incident happens once again someone from your department might come accusing my husband or any other family member of mine.”

Looking at the reports and questioning the doctor and nurse slightly embarrassed the head officer apologises to Vansh and family and suspends Kabir once again who recently joined on his duty after his previous suspension.

Furious at Riddhima wanting to strangle her for flopping his plan and getting him suspended. Getting reprimanded in front of everyone feeling embarrassed and still trying to get a grasp on himself after seeing Ragini in front of him alive and knowing about her condition worried that she might recognize him if he stayed in front of her for long Kabir left from there.

Apologizing once again to everyone the officials take their leave informing that one of the officers will be coming to keep an eye and guard Ragini here in the evening.

Silence. The silence was prevalent in the hall of VR Mansion.

“Aryan ye kya ho gaya?”(Aryan what this happened?) Whispers Chachi in a scared low voice to Aryan.

“I don’t know Mom but this is not good. So not good.” Replied Aryan in a worried voice.

“Riddhima thank you beta. Aaj tu na hoti toh mera Vansh… lekin beta tujhe pata kaise chala yahan kya ho raha hai tu toh mandir gayi thi na?” (Riddhima thank you child. Had you not been there then my Vansh… but child how did you got to know what was happening here?) asked worried dadi.

“Woh… dadi Sia called me and informed me.” Replied Riddhima.

“And about Ragini?” asked Dadi.

“Even I did not know got to know by accident a while ago. Since Vansh did not inform anyone about it so I thought why should I brother he must have done it to protect her so didn’t say anything about it. I am sorry dadi asked officials for them to appoint their man without asking about it to you all. It must be inconvenient for you but did not want to take any chances with Ragini’s safety considering Inspector Kabir’s attitude towardsVansh god forbids but if anything happens to Ragini, Vansh can get in trouble.”Explained Riddhima.

Vansh who was standing there quietly all this while was boiling from inside. He was observing Riddhima with an intense gaze and glint in his eyes and thought furiously “How? How the hell did she get to know about Ragini”s existence and whereabouts? How did she reach her? And how dare she expose Ragini to dangers by bringing her here. What the hell was that video about? Who recorded it? That means someone else was also present there that day besides him and Ragini.” Concluded Vansh.

Giving a side glance to Angre with a tilt of his head gesturing him asks him to follow him. Nodding his head Angre followed his boss to the library.

“Aryan Aryan aab kya hoga? Vansh humein maar dalega agar use kuch pata chal gaya toh?” (Aryan Aryan what will happen now? Vansh will kill us if he got to know anything.) says Chachi frantically panicking.

“Relax mom relax aisa kuch nahin hoga agar aisa hua bhi tohRiddhima fasegi. Maine chip Riddhima ke cupboard mein rakhi hai.” (Relax mom relax nothing like that will happen and even if it does it will be Riddhima who will get caught. I have put that chip in her cupboard.) said Aryan confidently though he himself was a bit worried.

“But?” began Chanchal.

“Mom stop it. Vansh ko waise kuch pata chale na chale aapki ghabrai hui shakal dekh ke jarror shak ho jayega. So relax.” (Mom stop it. Whether Vansh gets to know anything or not but looking at your worried face surely he would doubt us. So relax.) said Aryan.

Riddhima who was walking from outside cutting the call with Sejal who was supposed to come to VR Mansion today cancelled the plan at the last moment due to sudden engagement that came up heard their conversation and came inside furiously.

“So this is all both of your doings.”Stated Ridhhima angrily “I should have known it must have been both of you and what did you say I have that chip? I do not have any chip I burned it the day I got to know about Ragini to avoid any unnecessary complications. So who else is there who knows about it? You two. Since it was you Aryan who recorded that video with one hand while holding a gun from another hand with what intentions I don't know but definitely with no good ones.

It was you two who kidnapped Sejal tortured her, oh yes I know. Guess who I was on a call with just now? Sejal she told me everything that you two did with her and keep this in mind I won’t spare either one of you for this. Then you went ahead and tried to kill me that day by hitting on my head with that rod outside the house when Vansh came and to hide from him you hide me in that car's boot which Vansh took.

Though I should thank you due to your stupidity I got to know about Ragini being alive that day had I not known about her I wouldn't have been able to prove Vansh innocent today when you pulled this stunt. Then even on Dussehra, you tried to kill me by putting me into that Ravanand all of it for that chip. It was my fault I should have told Vansh about that chip and you two beforehand then things would have not come to this today. ” ranted Riddhima furiously mother-son duo.

Looking at her and hearing her Aryan and Chachi stood shocked. “What the hell?” thought Aryan. Then gaining his composure he confidently says

“Listen humne aisa kuch nahin kiya alright agree tumne jo kuch bhi kaha humne kiya but aaj jo kuch bhi hua humein iske bare mein kuch nahi maalum” ( Listen we haven’t done anything like that agreed whatever you have said we did but whatever what happened today we have no hand in it.)

“And you want me to believe it that chip I burned it so how did Inspector Kabir have that video? Do have copies of it?” asks Riddhima accusingly.

“Yes, Aryan please tell do you have any copies of it.” Came a deep voice much to Riddhima, Aryan, and Chachi’shorror.

Turning around there was Vansh standing with a thunderous look on his face.

Losing his patience, getting angry and desperate now Aryan turned towards Vansh and

said “I do not have any copies and I did nothing of those things. It was Riddhima who did it after she does keep spying on everyone every now and then. Why don’t you ask your wife? Hmmm? I am it is her who has the chip and sent that video to that Inspector. Why don’t you check her stuff? I am sure you’ll get to know who is lying and who is not?”

Vansh who already knew about Riddhima and Kabir looked at her and

said: “That I will do even I want to know what more she has been hiding from me.”

Making Aryan smirk.

“Vansh trust me I did not do anything. Aryan is lying. I don’t have that chip.”

Told Riddhima desperately.

“Really we will know it soon.”

Said Vansh and holding her arms firmly dragged her to their room while Aryan and Chachi followed them to theirs. Coming inside Vansh started searching the room furiously throwing things while Riddhima was in tears and crying continuously asking him to stop and trust her.

Hearing the commotion everyone else came to their room wondering and dadi asks Vansh what is happening? While still searching Vansh answers her and tells her about his latest findings comes to a stop seeing a chip.

Taking the chip out showing to Riddhima who continues crying and everyone looked on shocked he walks towards her dangerously.

“So you don’t have any chip? You did not do anything? Oh, so innocent poor Riddhima I believe you truly believe you but please tell what is this?”

Vansh snarled at Riddhima coming close to her while Aryan and Chachi exchanged looks with smirks on their faces.

“Vansh... Vansh please listen to me this is not what you think. I can explain it.”

Said Riddhima hiccoughing and scared.

“This is not what I think then lets us all see what it really is. Ishani hand me my laptop.”

With madness in his eyes, Vansh shouted for the laptop while looking at Riddhima.

Thinking of Ridhhima’s chapter to bedone for Ishani with much eagerness and smirk brought the laptop to Vansh. Putting the chip in the device when Vansh played the content of it for everyone to see it left everyone aghast as it started playing a Tom and Jerry movie.

“This is what I was trying to tell you.”

Mumbled Riddhima slowly in a low voice who now looking down silently with tears in her eyes. Just then Angre walked into the room and

said, “Bhai I found out where that mail was sent from to Inspector Kabir.” Making everyone look at him he continued “IP address from which it was sent was from this house. (pause) It was sent from Aryan’s laptop”

announced Angre which made everyone turn towards Aryan in astonishment who stumbled a bit on his spot while chachi’s breath got stuck. Giving a dangerous glare at them Vansh hissed

“Angre search their rooms and see if you get any chip or any other device, a file containing that video”

And everyone left for Aryan and Chachi's room when after searching their entire rooms the blasted chip was found in Chachi’s room.

Dadi came forward and gave a tight slap to Aryan and Chachi respectively.

“Pehle toh tum dono ne ye sab kuch kiya aur fir sara ilzaam iss masoom bachchi pe daalne ki koshish ki jisne aaj mere Vansh ko bachaya.” (First, you created this entire mess then tried to put the entire blame on this innocent girl.) said dadi pointing towards Riddhima.

Not able to take anymore Riddhima left in tears for her room with the fading voice dadi and Sia calling for her.

Reaching her room she closed the door and locked it not wanting to be disturbed and wanting to be left alone fora while. Looking around seeing the condition of the room remembering everything and Vansh’s behaviour she sat with thud tears were still flowing from her eyes. After knowing about Kabir and Vansh’s betrayal things like this do hurt a lot. Guess she has become quite sensitive now.

Then slowly she wiped her tears and a slow smirk formed on her face.

Flashback remembering:

On the day of Dusshera, she deliberately threw the chip near the fire not in the fire and made sure Aryan gets it.

Flashback ends

“Even the luck is on my side that why I got to know about your plan yesterday and before you could execute your executed mine,” thought Riddhima with a smile on her face.

Flashback:

Lost in her thoughts Riddhima walked in the corridors of VR Mansion and stopped in front of Chanchal Chachi’s room hearing voices.

Aryan: Mom tomorrow will be Riddhima’s last day here.This chip…. this chip will make sure of it (holding the chip in his hands said Aryan) Tomorrow bhai is going to receive a video and the chip will be found inRiddhima’s cupboard and then two days later police will arrive with to arrest Bhai because of this footage and the entire blame of this game will go on Riddhima.

She has a chip there which contains some movie she is embarrassed to be watching as a grownup I heard her talking with Sia about it. We just need to replace her chip with ours and ours with hers because she for sure will try to defend herself and take our names hence once bhai will ask for room search this video footage will be found in her room while movie in ours. Even dadi won't be able to save her or take her side after this.

When sudden they heard dadi’s voice calling for them. Seeing dadi coming towards the Riddhima hides behind the pillar but not before hearing Aryan asks Chanchal to hide the chip in her room for now.

Later Riddhima found the chip and replaced Tom and Jerry's movie’s one in Chanchal’s room. After that, she took Aryan’s laptop and sent the video and message to Kabir with an unknown email id and then later on to Vansh.

Then taking the chip containing the Vansh and Ragini footage she placed in her cupboard so that when Aryan came to replace it he took the original footage and replaced it with the movie.

Riddhima heard Vansh and Angre talking about the video standing outside the library and Vansh asking Angre to find out from where the video was sent from (with a smirk on her face). Then deliberately she made a noise and made sure Vansh follows her to Aryan's room.

Flashback end.

“Aahh Aryaann always heard about the saying ‘ek teer do shikar’ (one arrow two targets) lekin yahan toh (but here) ‘ek teer multiple shikar’ (giggled Riddhima). With this one move, quite a few things have been set in motion.

By bringing Ragini here and asking for police protection for her I made sure no one can harm her now. Vansh already knows about Kabir hence will be on alert and mummyji for her I'll be there. Whatever threats you and Chachi might have produced after today Vansh will make sure to eliminate them and the official who will be arriving will make sure to keep everything and everyone in check.

Two after seeing Ragini in front of him today Kabir will become desperate and might make a wrong move in an attempt to keep me away from the truth and his supposed pawn in his control (rolling her eyes).

Three Vansh since Ragini is here he will be distracted with her as well try to keep his distance from me from here on. Putting him in a fix with me. Along with me, Dadi will also notice his changed behaviour, if she doesn't I will make sure it gets noticed.

Four from now on you and Chachi will be on Vansh’s radar so no more troubles from you two for now. After today, both of your wrongdoings will be out in front of Vansh and family. I wonder had Angre shown them the CCTV footage of you two hitting me on my head and putting me in the boot of the car and Dusherra yet or not.”

Wondered Riddhima putting her finger on her head thinkingly with a cute expression.

“Let’s see Aryan now how do you save yourself and your mother. Now I don’t have to do anything whatever has to be done will be done by Vansh himself. Oh and sorry your plan of getting me kicked out of here failed.”

Said Riddhima to herself cheerfully.

Yay I am sooo happy with this update. Of course Vansh won't be able to focus on so many fronts even if aangre is there to help him. I mean it's Aaryan, chachi, Kabir, Ragini and her.

And why do I have a feeling that she is going to make him paint him in bad light especially for dadi to see. That will be the master stroke. I mean Dadi is most important part of his life even more than Ragini.
