Hi Guys, just wrote another OS using my imagination. Hope you all will like it.
“Ragini! Ragini! Ragini! I loved her or you? Why do you keep bringing her into our conversation every single time. When will you learn to live your own life. I am really done with this name and with you. Leave me alone!!”, saying so Vansh left the room in anger. He was not able to answer any of the questions that his dear wife threw at him. He felt frustrated that she was digging deeper into the part that he wished to keep buried deep inside him. Even more than that he was feeling hurt at the lack of trust she seem to have placed upon him.
“Why does she always bring up that woman? My wounds still burn from the betrayal that I faced in the hands of that woman.”, he thought to himself as he went to the poolside to calm his head. He knew he was being rude to Riddhima but if he is willing to move ahead without knowing her past, shouldn’t she do the same? Vansh kept thinking about Riddhima and eventually started to feel guilty at his outburst. He felt that he should not have reacted in anger. Assuming that she would be sleeping by now, Vansh made his way to their room.
As Vansh reached their room, he found the room in pitch darkness. Even the usual table lamp providing the faint light for one to find their path in the dark was switched off. Strange, he thought as he switched on the lights of the room. Riddhima was neither on the bed sleeping nor in the room. “Where did she go?”, thought Vansh while checking if she was in the bathroom. Awaiting her return, he just sat on the bed rehearsing what he should say to her to put a stop to this matter. However, even after an hour, she did not return and that made him worried. He did not know where she went. Hell, he did not even know where to go and look for her in the middle of the night.
“What would Dadi think of me if I knock on her door asking for Riddhima now?”, thought Vansh while also face palming himself. If there was one thing he wanted to avoid, that was to worry his Dadi especially in the middle of the night. Vansh slowly came out of his room and wondered where she could be. Being the mafia that he was, his immediate idea was to check on the CCTV camera to see where she would be but realised that would be embarrassing. “What would I say those security guards for checking the CCTV camera? That the Vansh Rai Singhania screamed on his wife and is now looking for her with the help of the CCTV cameras. Oh god! What’s wrong with me? Come on Vansh, think about where she could be right now?”
After checking all the possible places where Riddhima could be, Vansh was extremely worried. He knew that his wife was a problem magnet regardless whether she wants to be or not. He needed some help as his uneasiness was clouding his head from thinking straight and rationally. He took quick steps to Angre and Ishani’s room and was about to knock on the door but thought against it. He quickly made his way to his room to get his mobile so that he could call Angre instead. He would rather call Angre than knock the door as he know Ishani will start badmouthing about Riddhima and he was not in the mood to entertain her.
As he reached their room, he realised that the lights were switched off again and this time even the window was wide open and he had recalled that it was closed when he left the room. Only Riddhima had the habit to look at the moon regardless of whatever mood she was in but where was she now. With the little light coming from the moon, He slowly took a look around the room. As he turned to look at the two chairs in the room, he saw a piece of cloth peeking out from behind the chair. He quickly walked over to the chair and saw Riddhima seated hugging her knees. He slowly shook her shoulders. She swayed slightly and landed in his arms.
Under the moonlight, he saw that she was fast asleep with faint tear tracks on her cheeks. She had cried herself to sleep and that made him feel guilty. Without disturbing her sleep, he carefully lifted her and carried her over to the bed. After laying her on the bed gently, he kissed her on her forehead. She looked so ethereal under the moonlight. To Vansh, Riddhima was the only good thing that had happened to him after the betrayal he had faced. His only reason to want to start trusting someone even if it could lead him to his downfall at any point since he was fully aware that she was here to spy on him.
Lost in his thoughts, he took her hands into his and kissed her knuckles. “I am sorry Riddhima. I know that I had overreacted but I am still not ready to reveal the secret that I have kept buried inside my heart. Everyone knows and believes what I have told them and I want to keep it as that. I really do trust you but my past is a story for sometime later. Wish you could wait til then!”, he whispered to her. As Vansh expressed what was disturbing him all these while, he felt lighter but still exhausted as the events of the day came crashing upon him and so he decided to call it a day.
As soon as Vansh laid on his side of the bed, Riddhima carefully opened her eyes. Yes. Riddhima was not asleep and had heard every single word that Vansh had confessed to her. She had felt guilty for pushing the great Vansh Rai Singhania to a corner with her mistrust. She too had a confession to make and here she was acting as if the fault was on entirely on him. She realised that in her stance to protect him, she was losing his trust along with him.
She slowly turned to face Vansh and whispered, “I am so sorry Vansh. I did not realise my actions were hurting you this much. I promise you. I will never ask about her anymore and would patiently wait for you to share the truth with me.” Unable to resist, she gently ruffled his hair. Then slowly without disturbing his sleep, she laid her head on his chest while hugging him around his waist. After making herself comfortable, she was slowly drifting off to sleep when she felt him hug her waist tightly and whisper “Thank you so much Riddhu” and kissed her head. Finally feeling serene, both drifted off to sleep in each other arms. Whatever the truth may be, it shall wait.
The End.
