I think this is an issue with ITV in general. The main leads generally tend to have no solid friends, save for one. Like in this case, Riddhu has Sejal, and Vansh has Aangre. Otherwise, the leads tend to remain within their family only since that's what the plot revolves around.

That being said, it makes the leads words sound hollow when they talk about the deep bonds with their friends. For example, Riddhima described her bond with Sejal being almost sister like. But since we've never actually seen it, it's hard for us to believe it.
