Yay! New chappy!

Wow! I had an inkling that the party was going to have something major and it did. On one hand, I think Khushi shouldn't have left Roy alone for a long time while knowing that he doesn't know many people around so he would get bored. But Roy could have also tried to be more understanding and not just leave Khushi without a ride back. I wonder why Khushi decided to stay though, she was anyway standing outside and then left with Arnav so why even bother staying back. She could have left early with Roy if she wasn't interested in coming back to the party. To me, it all appears like a lack of efforts and understanding between Khushi and Roy.

Arnav has fallen deeper than I had initially thought. He is willing to go away so he must think there's no chance of him moving on. I was surprised at the quick confession, they just met in Chp-1 and there's already a confession and kiss in Chp-5! Woah! That's some speed 😆.

Khushi was the one to initiate the kiss so that tells a lot about her feelings for Arnav. But she ran off so what is she planning to do? If she goes back to Roy now, will she tell him about what happened or hide it? And if she tells, how will Roy react? One can't just go back after a kiss like that... can they? There has to be repercussions...

An interesting thing to note is that Khushi says "I'm engaged" not "I love Roy" or "I don't love you in that way" or something on those lines. Makes one wonder why is she even engaged in the first place 🤔.

Anyway, that's all for now. Will wait for further chapters to come before I speculate more 😆.

Love,

Stuti

Roy is a jerk. How can he just leave her like that with no care for her safety? And why is she putting up with that?

@bolded: Definitely! Next chapter will be in Khushi's perspective so we'll see her side of things 😊

Always look forward to reading your comments!! 🤗

There is definitely a lack of communication and understanding between Roy and Khushi, like you stated. Roy comes off as, well, self centered in this chapter, and Khushi unable to communicate well with him.

Since this chapter was entirely from Arnav's perspective, it's a bit difficult to convey what Khushi's motivations are. But after Roy leaves I imagine her to be standing in the parking lot in contemplation for some time, wanting to go back to the party and back to Arnav, and that's when he walks out and sees her standing there. Then when he offered a ride, she just went with the flow and picked a drive with him over going back to the party and asking any of her other colleagues for a ride. It can be confusing to know what the other characters' thoughts are while doing a first person perspective for a chapter, but I hope that cleared things up 😳

Yess hahah usually I would take things a bit slow but since this is a short story, I wanted to keep things moving. In the second chapter I mentioned that it had been 5 weeks since Arnav had joined the branch. So, our boy fell in love in the span of that time, but you know what they say, love is blind (and timeless) 😆

More on Khushi's feelings, about Arnav, about her fiancé, coming in the next chapter and all from her perspective! 😃

Thank you as always for your detailed thoughts Stuti! ❤️

I agree, Roy is a jerk *sigh* Hopefully Khushi's side of things and why she's putting up with it will become clearer in the next chapter 😊

Khushi is in delimma n I really wish she should listen to her heart’s voice n take the plunge choose Arnav over Roy or otherwise she will regret bcoz Roy is clearly a self obsessed man who thinks of himself above so she should choose a partner who loves you.

This was such a well written chapter Rain... ❤️

Although I want Arshi to be together (Duh 😆), Khushi's turmoil and confusion is so well expressed that I wonder how one would choose in a similar position.

The only saving grace is that I know Arshi will end up together (Hai na??? 🥺). Otherwise the suspense would have been too much too bear.

This chapter reminded me of something I had written... about difficult choices. I just hope Khushi chooses well and doesn't regret in future.

Good luck to Khushi 🍀

Love,

Stuti

P.S. Check the chapter links on first page.

P.P.S. Just reminding that if you're planning to participate in the OS contest, there's only 2 days left. 😳

He left. She doesn't know what to do. Its hard to end a relationship that you were in for 3 years.

That's quite a dilemma for Khushi - stick to relationship that's been there for years, one that doesn't feel the same anymore, or take a leap of faith with someone who makes her heartbeat faster. Sometimes the journey of two people is not meant to make it to the end, they are companions for only up to a certain point. It doesn't mean you don't fight to keep a relationship going, but sometimes people grow up and grow apart. Khushi needs to come to that realization by herself - that a lifetime is long time time to spend with someone she no longer has feelings for. If it's Arnav and his friendship that she is afraid of losing - that's happening anyway if she marries Roy... Time for more introspection Ms. Gupta!

Fantastic story - just catching up all in one go...
