I just find it odd ke ek yaraf to you show your lead so smart and that she topped in her diploma wanting to go for engineering and dusri taraf she is so bewakoof that part hajam nahi ho raha mujhse. Pehle kangan ghum kiye ab she is falling so easily in rani ka trap

The part where he emphasized about the importance of women not loosing their identity in love was done so nicely. Infact the more we discuss , the more I realize how extensively they have tackled all these important issues!! Also they have more or less kept it subtle and it doesn’t come of as preachy mostly because of the way message is delivered.

Wohi toh....I'm also realizing this more in hindsight while rewatching the show😆....when I was watching it in real time, tab story dragging and repetitive lagti thi toh kabhi kabhi lessons waale part ke liye itna patience nahin rehta tha😆....but I'm able to appreciate all these bits more now....the identity wala issue was the last of the "vikaars" in a sense and they really depicted it very nicely with the way Radha swung from not trusting Krishna to trusting him blindly in love to the point where she started to lose her own ability to think and evaluate situations. They actually showed it very nicely how Krishna tried to guide her and nudge her through examples but ultimately he had to step in when she faltered. His convos with Dau in this phase are really nice too as he explains that Radha and Krishna may be one but that does not mean their individual identities should be erased....Krishna cannot be Krishna if Radha isn't Radha.....her essence is needed for his essence to exist.

That show did a good job of showing Sita-Ram equation. Watching and reading different stuff makes you realize how the same thing can be viewed and interpreted differently by different people. I loved their version of Sita-Ram:)

They mainly showed Sita took the decision to change the soch of the people. She wanted that people change their attitude towards women , but alas even after all that sacrifice they were not able to change peoples thinking.

Oh same, I loved their version of Ram-Sita too....ek toh those two actors ace that serene/divine quality of both RK as well as Ram-Sita....and on top of the story had a lot of poignance vis a vis their love for each other in the face of so much maligning from society.....this is what I meant about some writers trying to approach the same concept from a different way and succeeding in bringing forth the same essence in a new way :) Everyone knows that Ram-Sita got seperated, but by approaching it like this vis a vis Sita's approach on taking this upon herself rather than getting "banished".....and again sort of playing on that concept of the power of love attempting to change minds. Yeah, their sacrifice ended up being in vain in the long term but the concept was lovely.

They also got creative with the costumes in this show.....like the ones they did for Ram-Sita ka first meet were hatke from the typical Sita costumes....they have her a very earthy nymph sort of look....and the songs were nice in this show too....I loved the Sita song - Vaidehi Vandini wala.

But yes, in terms of scale, RK was no doubt bigger across the board and felt very fresh at the time of launch cuz of the sets being so hatke.....it helped that the early story was set in a village rather than a typical palace like most mytho stories....lol

And this is the reason I'm losing interest😆. First week mein the girl didn't seem dumb....bas naive thi but she seemed to have some dimaag and grit. Now she's just shown plain old dumb and worshipping that Rani Sa.....ab toh iski babbling bhi kinda OTT lagti hai mujhe....bas faltu mein boli jaana par kaam dhanda koi dhang ka karna nahin😆

i am starting to lose it too now ek toh roz roz wohi aukaat pe lectures aur woh rani sa and then yeh bhi ab itni stupid harkatein karne lagi hai. why is it so ahrd to just give chracters a balance. kisi waqtchup rehna is nice too har waqt yap yap is too much either she keeps going into her bapu ji and balia puran or if not then non stop aukaat lectures

It was so much fun when he used to chutki bajao and pause stuff and Radha used to think he is a mayavi😆 He did so much random stuff to solidify her belief too🤣

And these new chants....such lovely lyrics weaving in all the various names for Radha and Krishna....and there's a lovely flute bit at the end of the third video too....dunno if you noticed it......but I loved it....bahut serene feel hai and worth listening to on repeat.

I have this OCD of reading stuff when its on screen. So half my attention was on reading the lyrics and watching visuals, so did not notice the flute. But chant and song is simply beautiful, I will listen only to the audio next time:)

Haha the show is deffo worth revisiting because of the way they've brought art to life with their visuals and execution.....I recently revisited the Govardhan Leela epi and wahaan bhi they did it so beautifully.....you could tell they were drawing inspiration from the paintings/calendar art cuz Sumedh always does these really graceful postures of Krishna in the scenes and it gives the feel of a painting come to life.....even as he's holding the mountain up with his pinky finger, his other hand is in this elegant posture on the side like it's a dance pose almost😆

Sumedh is really graceful with his poses and the way he carries himself:) You have described it so beautifully I can actually visualize the Govardhan Giridhari pose! RK dances in the initial episode where so artistic and beautifully choreographed.

In the song I noticed Radha looked so beautiful in the initial simple look and then they changed it when she started falling in love. Simplicity highlighted the beauty and innocence of Radha.

Oh btw have you watched the Luv Kush show on Colors at all that was also done by this PH? Wahaan bhi initial epis mein they put in a lot of effort with costumes, direction and music.

Yes I did😆 The initial episodes were lavishly shot. It actually felt like a movie set too and the casting was good too.

Those lectures are getting too much along with weird mix of dumbness😆

While watching her i actually started thinking about annika and that girl really was different in the beginning atleast. She was talkative udhar bhi class ki baat thi but annika would deal it so hatke and her way of talking dealing with things actually made it a fun watch. Sahi main khidkitod😆

I was watching annika bajaoing billu ki band solid waali in the most silent manner by using ussi ka cheque to fund his wedding🤣😆

Billu kya face dekhne layak tha😆 But that rain scene was so nice. The way annika stood her ground in front of shivaay ki no matter what he can't break her.
