I think it’s Western esp. American influence where the bride smiles so much, they smile too much for photoshoots anyway and in real life too (except people from New England and north eastern states)

I think they in turn are influenced by movies and TV culture which started much earlier for them

But I have to say Neha’s display makes even them look somber 😛

Used be our brides cried and didn’t smile too much on their wedding day

I remember a few yrs ago an Indian bride was refused visa in Canada cz the official thought she looked sad in the wedding pics, so it must be fake 😛

Abodh was a very boring movie. I had read somewhere that Madhuri's family wanted her to get married after doing the movie as they didn't want her to struggle in Bollywood. They had sent a proposal to singer Suresh Wadkar... He rejected her by telling that she was too 'patli'... Incidentally, the woman married to Suresh Wadkar happens to be petite.. Maybe it was destiny at work.. Had madhuri gotten married young, she wouldn't have been given acting opportunities by directors who were biased against married women..
