Sorry when I was making the post there was Raji's post above mine. So I didn't see other two posts but stuti said if two people post on the same prompt the next person can decide which one to continue.

Both of us posted almost same only hers Arnav saw someone and mine he's lying down next to her.

We both had commented quite some time ago so it's strange that the comments weren't visible. 🤔 Anyway, you're right that it is similar and whoever continues can choose either of the two and go forward from it.

Btw, all this is continuation of the first prompt itself. Please edit and remove prompt 2, 3, etc as that will cause confusion. When this tale ends, I'll give another new beginning point and that will be called as Prompt 2 and so on. So everytime we make a new beginning, the number will move forward. Rest is all a continuation in the same prompt / story.

I noticed your reply because I have multiple windows open with IPK and I have a habit of keep refreshing them.

May be it is a good idea, if anyone takes longer to draft, they better open another window with this thread (and refresh it, if it is already open) and check the thread for further additions before adding their part.

It had been a few hours since we posted - surely no one takes that long to draft a post. And these days IF is facing weird issues which is why I was curious.

Just yesterday I was joking about the FF forum being haunted because of the ongoing issue with comments there... I hope it hasn't started here too 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Otherwise my next prompt will be about a haunted forum 🤣. We could write about comments disappearing randomly and new posts being added by anonymous writers. Wonder how spooky that would be 🤣.

Jokes apart - your advice is quite useful, especially in a real time game like this one. 👍🏼

Prompt 1 :

She was in her own house but it seemed very different. Or was it because of the pitch darkness? Why was it so dark anyway? They always kept the lights near the staircase on. Maybe it was a power-cut, although it was quite unheard of to have power-cuts in their area!

She stumbled around wondering where she could find some light source. The kitchen might have some candles. Just as the thought of candles crossed her mind, she saw one being lighted. Aah! Finally some light. But who was this lady holding the candle?

She called out to her twice before finally catching the lady's attention. She tried to talk to her and ask who she was but there was no response. Just as she decided to give up and find her own way around, the lady turned....

She freaked out and started screaming, " Aaaaaa Chudailllll, Devi Maiya Bachaoo".

He was taken back seeing her reaction.

She suddenly turns around and hugs him tightly.

"Khushi?! Tum theek ho? What happened? Why are you yelling?" Arnav holds her shoulders, trying to shake an explanation out of her.

"Arnav ji! That- that chudail is here! Devi Maiyya, it's a ghost!" She is at the brink of tears now, shifting closer to him for protection.

He then makes an amused face and turns her around. "There's no one here, Khushi. See?"

No one here? She thinks. But I swear I saw someone...

OK! I will get some water! By saying this, Arnav turned around with torch in his hand and walked towards the kitchen.

Khushi turned around to go to the bedroom, failing to notice the light falling on Arnav's back and came face to face with a person in a white saree holding a candle right in front of her. Khushi screamed and fainted.

Arnav rushes to hold her before she falls.

He carries her in his arms shouting for HP to bring the torch along to help them get to their bedroom.

After laying her on the bed he covers her with a quilt only to hear her murmuring , "Arnavji mat jaiye".

He lies down next to her. He brings her face closer to him and whispers sweet nothings to comfort her.

He place a soft kiss on her forehead giving her comfort and Khushi snuggle closed to him feeling safe in his arms.. Arnav smiled seeing her guesture.. in her unconscious state also she knows he is here with her.. then he got confused with her sudden fainting.. what's she saw that she got scare this much.. that's when something cought his eyes..
