I understand where you are coming from, Sam. Yes, the virtual world has been a boon during COVID but we also know not to stray certain invisible lines, eh? But many are still naive about it and unfortunately many irrespective of age have fallen prey during the pandemic to duping and false identities of various kinds. The crime graph in the virtual world using the space has seen a vertical rise- from child trafficking to embezzlement to blackmail. We can seek strength here, no harm, without giving away too much you know. We can have a space to chill out. Period. So yes, keeping that check alone was the intention of the piece. Thank you for new thread and lovely writeup as always n for choosing very relevant topic.
Loved your take on virtual friends n saftey. Virtual in ideal world shall never be in position to replace real however given unusual circumstances with covid, shielding n resulting lack of social contact, these virtual connection has been a boon to keep some sane and distracted to some extent. However many fans on these apps are pretty young and quick to trust, quick to form attachments resulting in some unwanted and compromising situations. This does stay relevant to some of us mature fans too as prolonged interaction over months does lead to some sort of bonding with the vibe or energy behind dp sharing thoughts n viewpoints. it was a good reminder for us all to keep it in check n relevant to the subject without getting into personal space.
