Yeah she was already stressed out from his death. Already (when they were in relationship before the split) they were feeling bad + fearing of the split due to the differences between the families but they still were together happily. Now, Vijay's death was a huge turning point which led to her reacting although did feel it was somewhat rushed. When her father waved, she didn't wave to him like she usually wood & hug him as she felt that probably her hug could've made him victorious just like it did previously in vijay's past missions. She was reflecting where Vijay mustve went wrong ki woh uski expectations ko fulfill nhi kar paya and she was feeling bad for being reckless. Hence lashed out saara frustration onto Shravan. At that point, she had decide what was best but I think they definitely need time & space to reflect over their actions (hence the 7-8 year ka leap).

I wish all of this should have happened in the time period of 2-3 days. Or they could have shown Sumo lashing out at shravan in nightime on the same of Vijay's death.
