Eh. It's definitely an overreaction from Anu buy my two cents are that she got spooked after seeing how things on social media are quickly snowballing into proper fights and lynchmobs these days. So she thought it best to nip in the bud instead of waiting for herself to get blamed for VK's losses at a huge scale.

It's stupid but I get why she'd be paranoid when she's usually overly cautious even under normal circumstances.

How are Virat fans taking it?

They should be annoyed.If Gavaskar was Virats rival..it is understandable.Gavaskar is a few generations senior (in cricket).

Fans of rival cricketers must be excited about it.

She didn’t like it therefore responded to his comment, how is it expected of a senior cricketer to talk about spouse of cricketer? It’s not about men or women, His job is to comment on cricket

Everyone practiced before IPL, Everyone got as much practice as Kohli, Why talk about your junior’s wife or husband?
It’s just that Anushka’a trolling has been normalized to an extent that people are offended when she is asking them not to do it

But this wasn't trolling.. hell it wasn't even made when Virat performed bad.. the comment was made before he got out and was based on a video posted on a public platform.. as I said, this has happened a gazillion times to Shoaib and Sania.. The commentator wasn't trolling her at all, neither blaming her for however Virat performed..

His job is to comment on cricket and he did comment on Virat's practice session that was posted online for the world to see and it wasn't even in a bad way.. his comment was nowhere disrespectful to Anushka
